Just want to point out a Mistake in this episode....the German Heavy Tank Destroyer, the JagdTiger never participated in the Battle of the Bulge, the closest tank that would resemble a JagdTiger and facing forward of it from a distance is the King Tiger.

Also the JagdTiger didnt see action on the Western Front against the Allies until the Spring of 1945

Hate to break it to you Snyder, but I'm afraid the idea of using pee on a gun was a German idea first. They used urine in WW1 for their water-cooled machine guns in a pinch.

Here they are telling us it hits the Shermans backside of the turret, but did not penetrated it. yes, sure.

@privateKALBAS Watch the video again. It said that the Sherman took a hit on a protruding part of the turret rear, and the turret was cracked. The round probably struck the turret at an angle, which deflected much of the kinetic energy. It's the same reason why sloped armor was used on the T-34 and many tanks there after, because it helps to lessen the rounds impact.

Besides, why would this WW2 veteran lie about what happened to his tank?

@hippielettuce1988 That's true also, the armor is effectively thicker when struck at an angle, but the angle of the armor will deflect some of the rounds energy, so the slope helps in 2 ways.

It's like throwing a stone straight down into a lake, versus throwing it at a shallow angle so it skips across the surface.
