In the case with CoD, it actually means that Activision can shit out a CoD every year without putting any effort into it because they know, they KNOW, that you will buy it. Meanwhile, DICE has been developing the Frostbite 2 alone for a couple of years, optimizing it for BF3. CoD just runs on the same engine every release and doesn't bring anything new or exciting to the table.

Battlefield has just as much work as Call of Duty, with all the detail put into the campaign, multiplayer, and then the DLC's on top of that. Sure Battlefield looks nice, but it takes time and effort to do what CoD game creators do.

@Sonicisunleashed2008 Actually when you think about it, the last Battlefield made by Dice was BFBC2 last March? And now there's one coming out this October? Do you know since TreyArch and InfinityWard share the franchise and produce a game on their own every 2 years. e.g. TreyArch produce World at War, Infinity Ward with MW2, TreyArch with Black Ops. So Black Ops actually has 2 years worth of work put into making the game, with about a year and a quarter put into BF3. Think about that.

@brrrrr12 Remember we are talking about EFFORT NOT TIME. BC2 is a spin-off. Everyone knows that. Just because it is a good spin-off doesn't mean that it part of the main franchise. JUST LOOK AT BF3. Do you see the differences? See the EFFORT put in? The guys at InfinityWard that made the first Modern Warfare great are gone, that is why the CoD series has been on the down hill lately.

BC2 was made DURING the process of making Battlefield 3! DICE has been developing Battlefield 3 for a while.
