So I just WASTED over 1000 bucks on 4 alpine type r subwoofers. I bought everything i needed: a deck, wiring, and i even made my own subwoofer boxes. Only problem is every time i turn on music MY CAR SHUTS OFF!!!!! Damn alpine doesn't know how to make subwoofers! Should i return the subs? oh ya this stuff is in my moms van so she won't be happy when her car turns off when she puts on music so i need this fixed ASAP, PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@sesman1234 It's most likely you're wiring. You might either have a positive and a ground touching which would be bad. Or two, somewhere along the installation, you wired something wrong with the deck or wiring for the amp going from the front of the van to the back. Alpine isn't the best in My Opinion. But it's definitely not the worst. But if the one of those woofers is the cause of the problem, , then I'd be surprised that at the very least, that you could have a defective Type R.
@sesman1234 I doubt that it is one of those woofers. More than likely wiring gone wrong. and like BradK24 said. Check your fuses. All of them, it wouldn't hurt to check.

@xNiiNjAxGaMiiNg no, not necessarily, my cousin just bought a brand new 13w7 and we played it at its full potential for an hour on a mrp 2000 and it was fine, but i would reccomend turning down the gain on cheaper subs that cant handle as much. and make sure that your amp matches or is less than your subs rms rating. too much is ok as long as your gain is down

So I just WASTED over 1000 bucks on 4 alpine type r subwoofers. I bought everything i needed: a deck, wiring, and i even made my own subwoofer boxes. Only problem is every time i turn on music MY CAR SHUTS OFF!!!!! Damn alpine doesn't know how to make subwoofers! Should i return the subs? oh ya this stuff is in my moms van so she won't be happy when her car turns off when she puts on music so i need this fixed ASAP, PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@sesman1234 Make sure your wires are properly conected and to the right spots. (Ground is to metal and not painted surface) And check youre FUSES!

@sesman1234 It's most likely you're wiring. You might either have a positive and a ground touching which would be bad. Or two, somewhere along the installation, you wired something wrong with the deck or wiring for the amp going from the front of the van to the back. Alpine isn't the best in My Opinion. But it's definitely not the worst. But if the one of those woofers is the cause of the problem, , then I'd be surprised that at the very least, that you could have a defective Type R.
