Chrysler is better for their longest lasting engines.

Granted Chrysler used to be gm with their inline straight 6 engine which produced more torque than a standard v6 and lasted 3x as long as well. I had a 98 jeep grand with over 250,000 miles, the transmission died before the engine did and the engine still runs.

Your mom should have swallowed you. Ford has the option of putting a Powerstroke, Cummins, or Cat engine in the F650. Also, just because a Cummins is a 6 cylinder doesn't mean that is the advantage. It's the fact it's a stright 6, makes the best power with the least moving parts. Can you say Skyline, Supra, M3, Wrangler? All I6's with great power. Also, the displacement of the 6.7L Cummins is comparable to the other engine options for the F650. So eat that retard.

The 7.3 Ford (Navistar) was fair at best and I believe there is a class action lawsuit over the 6.0 liter. Face it Dodge was the smart one for using a proven 6 cylinder diesel, made the competition wake up. V8 diesels are obsolete, try to buy one in a class 8 truck. You can't.

Go to a Peterbilt, Kenworth, or International dealer and ask for a 8V92 Detroit or 3408 Cat in a new truck. Go to a Mack dealer and ask for a E9-500 in a new Mack. A V style engine can not make the low end torque that a inline engine can. This is why you can't buy one today in a over the road truck. The average pickup buyer does not know this. They think a V8=power.
