  • Great job man. You are only 16 too. In a few years, you will kill.

  • wow. nice vibrato.

  • guitar difficulty levels:

    beginner

    easy

    medium

    hard

    pro

    kirk hammet

    god

    jimmy hendrix

  • How many steviesnacks videos have you seen? 100 , 150?

  • @facubarca Its called years and countless hours of practicing.

  • dude i am sure i would have been up the neck when you were down but truthfully it doesnt matter. you were sick as hell bro. very very nice job. i was feeling you when you played and THATS what the blues is about. very nice very impressed keep on crying baby. youre nasty and thats no lie.

  • I like the style.

Fantastic for a 16 year old.

  • im 16 and doing it this year, and i hope i dont have competition like you

  • Sir turn left and grab a guitar out of your price range and walk out with it becuase you deserve it.

  • can someone give me an honest answer how long do you think it would take someone to get this good at guitar?

  • YES playin that blues hot damn! talk about a prodigy.

  • YOU MY FRIEND ARE A TOTAL BADASS MOFO

  • freakin awesome. very surprised!

  • holy..fucking..shit. THAT WAS AMAZING!

  • I believe we have the same guitar except my headstock says Lyon by washburn (No clue what company it is associated with) btw you are very good dude

  • @Metallicarulesall18 fender custom vs cheap washburn... hmmmm

  • @sailorirl eh i like it good sound but agreed with cheap part

  • awesome

  • put distortion on itll sound way better ;) METAL FTW

  • Very cool indeed! Looks like a Fender standard? I have the same one, only black with a maple fret board.

  • @jimihendrixfan2008 well my dad got me this custom shop back in '07 for my birthday. i got to pick out what i wanted to be on the guitar and it took about 5 months to get it in.

  • @vickrules1 Oh I see. Well, looks like it was worth the wait!

  • great playing you got a gift man

  • great srv thing you got going there

  • @Heliocopter8 Thanks man.

  • @crazyfreak1919 actually there was no set-up haha. i just plugged into a marshall and played

  • @vickrules1 Oh wow, hey. Good sounds, my friend. I also sorta meant which fender and which marshall you're using. I can't see which amp it is. I assume an american std strat..?

  • @crazyfreak1919 It is a 62 custom shop strat and i think... it was a marshall DSL100 (i think).

  • Stevie Ray may be gone, but he still lives on in people like you.

I know that sounded incredibly lame, but that was amazing.

  • What's your setup here? Your tone is absolutely fantastic.

  • Fender+Marshall and a good guitar player and you got it....

  • @53bluzer Thanks Man! By the way thank you for all the great videos you post.

  • Wow, that was fucking incredible!!! Please take care of your hands. :P

  • SRV is back. A good job

  • only thing I would suggest is changing the name of this video. the name makes it sound like some 16 year old kid who just learned to play his first chord but other wise. MY MIND WAS JUST BLOWN.

  • this is like hendrix and stevie ray vaughn style

  • man you can really fucken whale for your age keep it buddy

  • @FMFpipes Thank you and I'll make sure i do

    thanks for watching.

  • man thats awesome how long you been playin

to me it sounds like buddy guy and bb king

  • @ImproperCivilization I've been playing seriously for about 10 years and yeah Buddy and BB so much great stuff i have picked up from them.

    thanks for the comment.

  • that was pretty good dude

  • @GuitarPhi1 Thanks man

  • @vickrules1 thats impressive your real good

  • @wadothepimp Thank you man.

  • holy shit! this is fuckin amazing

  • his playing is amazing especially at that age! you never get bored listening to this because hes got so many great chops

  • Just want to say thanks to all of you for all the views and comments!

  • He is definitly influenced by stevie ray

  • @bloodshot111 but then again, SRV influenced a lot of people with blues. he was a big part in bringing blues back into the main stream, and i think as good as SRV was, he could have been even better to this day. Im only 15, and this guy playing is pretty good.

  • holy shit wat pickups produce that sound

  • Very SRV(ish). Good stuff, man. I think you'll only get better and better as you get older and find your own voice. Fantastic job.

  • do u win anything 4 being the store winner

  • lol jimi hendrix much?

  • kid steve ray would be proud, and keep kicken' it out like you do

  • kid you would make steve proud and i say jonny lang would love your playing kick the good stuff up

  • very hendrixy, lol... really dug it!

  • hoooooooooly crap you little stevie you sir are the man. and thats not said loosly

  • One suggestion, sometimes less notes brings more to your music. While that was great playing, it kinda ran together.

  • @TheRationalWill thats cause you don't "listen." you "observe" This kid is bad ass

  • @Bluestouse86 If you had read my reply, I never said he wasn't good. I was just giving him some constructive criticism. Blues isn't about how many notes you can string together from the blues scale, its all about expression. The kid is good, no doubt, he just needs to let emotion take over and stop just throwing notes out all over the place. I have been "listening" for 30 years, playing 20. YOU listen to greats like SRV or BB. Sometimes its the silent breaks that makes the difference.

  • holy crap your good dude! I've done some videos using the kotb tracks, you should check em out if you get the chance

  • Holy Shit 16 yrs old. Wow what emotion and feeling from such a young kid! The sky is the limit young man, great job

  • very very nice but can i say one thing? did SRV come back from the dead?

  • don't tell him to stay off the drugs!#!# what if that's what it takes to unlock the kids potential!!

    jk.

you're good without the drugs kid... don't do 'em.

  • wow, amazing stuff from such a young guy. you will be big news mate... :)

  • It reminds me of SRV's Texas Flood

  • Anyone know the strat used there?

  • Nice job! The tremolo work was spot on. Excellent job following the changes. How far did you go?

  • what scales are you using when you play this?

  • @EddieVedder13 iam not familiar with this too welll but iam guessing just pick a scale and learn the whole neck with it and youll start hearing it...Like i said thought iam not too familiar with it ..Better wait until a better comment lol

  • minor pentatonic/blues scales. Just some basic box patterns, not hard to memorize but hard to phrase as good as he did.

  • yep... the blues is mostly all about phrasing and feeling

    this kid was awesome..

  • The kid is good. No question there. but isn't he going to be judged on originality? he's using ALOT of licks from SRV. Like a crap ton lol.. still tho the kids' great. I just think he should put is own spin on his playing and he'd be amazing.

  • Yeah he does play good . Hey he is 16 and the originality thing will grow. I said same thing of SRV when I first heard him, I mean for soloing on blues.

  • is there another competition like this this year too?

  • Nice. Well done. Check out some Brian Johnson videos on my page. I use to be his bass player.

  • not bad

  • dont listen to anybody but your own heart when you play at 16 your on your way keep up the great work

    jake

  • i aint knockin tha fact that this kid has some talent but he has a long way to go but for 16 hes damn good but my biggest gripe is why when ever somebody plays blues on a strat they all sound the same same tone same licks like i said hes good and will only get better but i think he would benifit from listening to more artist like albert collins albert king freddie king and dont just listen to guitar players to pick up new licks horn players and organ players have some good licks to steal to

  • Great playing! Hit an upscale store sometime and pick up a Nat Nast shirt and a cool hat, blues up the image a little. Excellent guitar work.

  • Hats off to a talent not often seen or heard!! Awesome!

  • wen u play for the king of blues,

do u play freestyle solos the whole time?

or do you have to come up with something in time for the show?

  • the world needs more guitar players like you good sir

  • damn i picked up some stuff from from this video, you have soul

  • i liked this

  • usually when 16 year old is put in the heading and you close your eyes and listen it sounds like a player that needs to practice a lot more. I was pleasantly surprised! I should know I've been playing for 39 years. I'll send you my performances so you can see where your compliment is coming from. you keep it up your listening and intonation are great, Kevin

  • if this is what i have to look out for, than i feel quite confident in my skills

  • dude this kid is beast and you must think you're stevie ray if you assume to walk over the likes of players like this.

  • Comment removed

  • best one out like ten that ive seen nice work brotha

  • hey man, are you runnin straight through the amp on that take?

  • I cant really remember what it was but i know it was a vintage reissue but i can find out for you

  • What Marshall amp were they using in the contest??

  • Bad tone man

  • You've got IT.

  • just AMAZIN'...

promice me that ya stay with the blues,

coz it's with true feelin' ya squeeze them blue note's of that piece of intrument

    //albin.sweden

  • Holy crap that was awesome

  • Wow.....I'm sure the competion is terrified of you.....bravo.

  • I hope you're considering playing professionally. You play so well. More people should be able to hear you.

  • sweet playing

  • Amazing vibrato!

  • niceeeee

  • you definately should have tried to play more like SRV

  • agreed, though i dont see it as a bad thing. SRV had enough chops for any serious guitar player to envy.

  • APPLAUSE. Fantastic stuff. We'll see more of you I expect.

  • pure inspiration for me to practice more. lol

  • This one made me smile the whole time he was playing! 5 out of 5 stars from me, bigtime!!

  • Sick dude

  • It's the white Freddie King!

  • I agree

  • Great vibrato for a young player!

    Well done :D

  • He looks and plays like a shorter, younger, wide-body John Mayer!

GREAT job!! You're going places kid!

  • i was thinking that too.

  • I hear some claptonian riffs in there. Pretty good man.

  • amazing 5/5

  • man where are all the kids in my town....that aren't just a bunch of metal shredders....

i'll jam with him any day.....haha....good luck man.....

  • I hate you....haha, just kidding. Very nice tones and some killer turn arounds, Respect man.

  • Damn this kid is GOOD

  • Nice playing man, you should check out my vid if and when you get a chance. Good luck further down the road. We might be playing with one another soon.

  • Awsome playing! win it!

  • best I have seen in this years contest! win it young one!
