  • [“My Mother's a pig. I feed her gravy. Gotta gun? I'll shoot her maybe...” Fr. my bk.: "Finally the Night"]

  • The first(rock n roll) song I sang at 3 yrs old (also Raindrops Keep...) Come And get It will always be special to me.

  • The fact that Joey is on stage when the band performed on TOTP shows how quickly Ron Griffiths left the band after recording the song in the studio.

I love Joey Molland's contributions to Badfinger, and he is a MUCH better guitarist that what Tommy showed on the Ivy's album before he switched to bass upon Joey's arrival. Yet, Ron had such a good singing voice, it is interesting to consider what Badfinger would have been like if he's stayed in the band. Less of a rocking outfit, I guess.

  • RIP Tom Evans, Pete Ham and Mike Gibbins

  • Impossible to burn in hell-since hell is actually another word for grave-when you're dead, you're dead!

  • I wish that Paul used the song for Abbey Road :(

Sorry, I had to say it.

  • weird band. McCartney wrote this for them, they wrote 'Without You' for Nilsson and then the two main guys hung themselves (at different times). Like I said, weird band

  • like the bay city rollers, these boys were robbed out of royalties, hope the management of badfinger burns in hell

  • 1970 not 71!

  • Truly talented, truly

  • I'm happy whenever I listen to this :)

  • What a great song. Takes me back to my teenage years. Thanks for posting.

  • They were discovered by Apple Road Mgr. Mal Evans who introduced them

to Macca and George Harrison who served as the original

    mentors of the band.

  • Tom Evans sounded allot like Macca.....thank you for posting.

  • Holy shit, they sing it like McCartney would've! At "Make your mind up fast" at the beginning, I was impressed.

    I salute these gentlemen.

  • The greatest of the many songs Paul McCartney gave away. What a guy!

  • The song was actually recorded by THE IVEYS and Ron Griffiths played bass. Ron was sacked from the band despite Pete and Mike not wanting him to go. Joey Molland then joined The Iveys and the band changed the name to BADFINGER and the record was released using that name. Poor Ron didn't get the royalties from sales, despite being the bass player on the song. An estimate of his loss is about £180,000. I interviewed Ron last year for my BeatlesandBeyond Radio Show

  • man these song does remind me of weezer a bit. rivers probably like them too.

  • Love the movie this comes from. The Magic Christian with Ringo Starr and Peter Sellers.

  • I HATE TODAY'S MUSIC! i wish i had been born back then. i am 15, and personally, this music is way better. i cant stand that pop garbage. i am in a band. and we play beatles, who, stones, def leppard, metalica, and more. in short, GOOD MUSIC! i honestly cant wait for this phase of pop music to end. but i feer wat will be next

  • Band like The Beatles or this one make me think about something......good music R.I.P.

  • i would do anything to live in this era!!!! so simple and nice

  • Man, if this band wouldn't've gotten screwed by managing and stayed together, they would've connected Beatles-like sounds and harmonies to the shitty late 80's early '90's music. Alot of the critics said this band would've been the next Beatles if they would've stayed on....and i have to agree with them!

  • this is one of highest quality footage from the 70's i have ever seen

  • all the death in this band is awful they were a brilliant band and to quote jim morrison "nobody walks away from the sun till the moon settles in the east and rises in the west to sound of an aching heart that has been rubbed in salt !!!"

  • Hey check out my redition of no matter what

peace thank for the kewl vid

  • did paul mac write this or is this an original badfinger composition

  • @geoffdoor It was written by paul, his version is on Anthology.

  • the drummer Mike died 2005, so you can see 3 here that passed away

  • I had not heard that. RIP Mike.

  • That last post shows me what a tone deaf idiot this bozo is.

  • theres rarely any harmony is songs nowadays. all the singers sound the same, the melodies arent as good, and theres no creativeness especially. all the rock songs now sound the same.

  • Very true sadly, music is all about corporate profit now and manufactured singing wannabees with no originality.

  • Very talented band

  • First time I heard this song I was almost certain it was The Beatles.

  • I thought so too and you probably know this already but it's a Paul McCartney song and Paul recorded the song solo during the white album/let it be period. Horrible story about this band Badfinger. 0:51 both members on right (keyboardist and bass) Pete Ham and Tom Evans committed suicide after the band was ripped off my managers and others and financially destroyed. Pete Ham on the left killed himself and left a note saying he was 'taking his manager with him' really sad stuff.

  • From the Film "The Magic Christian", a really talented band and you are right about it being sad stuff. I remember Pete Ham going in the seventies then Tom in the eighties to be in the same place as Pete. Very very sad. Very talented band.

  • i think they were really close

  • fab

  • this is not 1971 its 1970

  • Totally brilliant song - download it and listen to it loud!

  • Or buy it, maybe?

  • Yeah, download it from iTunes - vinyl, even CD is no good to me these days.

  • Original of this is not on iTunes. Only a re-recorded version.

  • Yep, iTunes version sounds so rubbish!

  • What excellent songs this band performed, sadly I wish they could have done more. Tremendous talent and charm.
