  • This piece is like a total description of what we, humans, are, how we are, and what the world around us is, and why it is, and how it is. Shortly: Truly God Inspired Music.

I always think of the people I lost when I hear this, but not only. This music is much bigger than just that.

  • Simply Divine!

  • Aupa zaldieroa

  • R.I.P Marcus!

  • Thumbs up if might and magic 6 brought you here! :P

  • music is magico

  • This is really funeral. It's not for common listening. Faster version is.

  • This is really art. I'm 18 years old and listening this with love. Age is not important if you know what art is.

  • @MrDennyify ur not the only one :)

  • funeral music.

  • I used to listen to music, but then I took an scissor to the ear.

  • Don't forget that it's very Italian, even though it's a more relaxed piece.

  • Beautiful sampled by Tiesto!

  • I searched so long to hear this as I did not know the name-Glad I found this haunting beauty

  • @Mountchoirboy

    Indeed, haunting it is.

  • There's a reason why some classical pieces are so well known to so many millions of music lovers. They remain in your auditory memory and replay over and over during the day if you've been listening to them enough times.

  • It is an absolute song and poem of devine Love. Sublime.

  • Last time I checked this was in a faster tempo. Hmm.... :S

  • that just made me cry...

  • no piece of music has ever given me so many multiple convulsions of pleasure as this one

  • this tune always runs me through - it empties me but its good to let go sometimes - fall as my tears do Thank you

  • I don't belong to western culture, but then i hear this, cry, then come back, hear this and again cry.....I have been doing this for years....Why do i want to hear something again again which makes me cry? Can anyone tell me?

  • @erdevnarayan MasterPiece

  • @CanijAsa Yes, exactly. Though it makes me cry, there is this elusive grandeur, suspense and even a calming feeling in the music with its perfectly slow paced twists and turns, ups and downs, pauses and starts, giving that ethereal quality..it is a music for the soul, beyond religions, beyond cultures.

  • This is an orchestra ? Or what instrument is this ? PLEASE, HELP ME!

  • @Hunorrrr its a string orchestra. not just one instrument.

  • @MissMusicMermaid Thank you.

  • Masterpiece, almost crying... Superb, thanks for sharing it

  • Dark, sad song but nice. Just beautiful!!

  • This was played at my great grandfather's funeral when the march to the grave started.

  • wow... feels ... like flying..... over the edge..... of the building. Not to be listened in dark moments.

  • I prefer to be dead than live in a world without music.

  • @RTO41 If it wasn't here... then you wouldn't know about it to want to die ;) haha think about that :P

  • @RTO41 The music is always inside you. It is your soul. Remember.

  • Dearest Elise,

May your soul rest in God's hand.

Remember the youngest day and His promises; we shall meet again!!

  • so emotional

  • what version is this? i haven't heard it before. the tempo is the main difference i notice among other more subtle ones. can you enlighten me please?

  • Sorry for the mutiple posts. At the time my internet connection was not very good and I just wanted my post to go in just once. But somehow all 3 attempts did get in.

  • Used in Episode 13 of Carl Sagan's "Cosmos" TV series. And how fitting too. And sampled by Tiesto in "Athena" in 2004 on the "Parade Of The Athletes" CD. If you did not know, this piece of music was stored in Dresden and that place was fire bombed in February 1945 wiping out most of the works inside it. A fragment of this piece did survive and was redone by Albinoni. By the way episode 13 of Cosmos deals with the future survival (or not, it's up to us!) of the human race.

  • @darkangel2347 Actually, the Work was completed by musicologist Remo Giazotto.

  • @roberto16819 se pare ca nici tu "nu stie" sa scrie deloc ! De acord, absolut magnifica este compozitia .

  • Ideal funeral music.

  • @rayandreina ideal wedding music, :))

  • wow , this is one of those that u can just edit , pretty much with anything .

  • Albinoni made it but did not compose it

  • Why am I crying?

  • @Kurobisu me too :'(

  • @Kurobisu You were slicing onions.

  • @Kurobisu

coz so extra touching,my tears are flowing too.

  • @Kurobisu because you´re an idiot who can´t control yourself

  • @Kurobisu , because you are beautiful !!

  • @Kurobisu the same reason i'm crying for .... this is beyond beauty this is something from other world

  • @Kurobisu 'cause you're beautiful!

  • @Kurobisu it was 2 am and you were really tired. It happens to me sometimes. Seriously though, if I'm tired enough, I can cry for hours because of a song. And then once I stop crying, I pass out. I think the longest time I've cried non-stop was 3 hours.

  • @Kurobisu When a song touches your heart, theres nothing else you can do.

  • @Kurobisu because such beautiful music is touching you

  • @Kurobisu

Because someone ruined this wonderful piece of music by playing it too slow?

  • @Kurobisu Damn...I'm crying too

  • Matt can't do this.

  • muse resistance ? very like this

  • So amazing *__*

  • heartbreaking ;_;

  • For my friends Silvija & Davor...Rest in peace ! <3

  • A tad too slow. The score itself is a wonderful tug at the heartstrings and mine are as tugged as the next person's. A clever composition in minor chords. They always get us going. There must be a vibrational connection between our heart beats and minor chords.

There are studies on minor chords and the way we are affected. I think they make sense and in no way detract from the feeling that overwhelms me when I hear this. I still hug myself with my eyes shut and rocking in my chair blown away.

  • tempo way too slow....

  • Prachtig stuk, dit graag op mijn crematie!!

  • Prachtig stuk, dit graag op mijn crematie!!

  • What are your legs?

    Springs. Steel Springs.

    What'll they do?

    Hurl me down the track.

    How fast can you run?

    As fast as a leopard.

How fast ARE you going to run?

    As fast as a leopard.

Then lets see you do it!

  • @theliberator1 Yes, 'Gallipoli'.

  • not religious really. but theres something divine in it.

    Sonia

  • For Christian, Sandy and the little 6 years old who are not with us anymore.

    With love.

  • Maravillosa

  • increible!

  • The hand of god touched those who create such masterpieces as this.

  • @boneheadorwhat this kind a music goes even higher then any religeon on earth

  • @MrStevie1507 youre so right!

  • @boneheadorwhat what if they're atheists?

  • @kirkhammett1993

As you have had the mental capacity to pose this question, I have to wonder why you need to seek the answer from me.

Is your power of reasoning so slight that engagement of brain stimulus results only in spasmodic movement of fingertips on a keyboard? If the former is indeed true I look forward to your next syllable with eager anticipation. :-)

  • @boneheadorwhat hold your horses joseph ducreux. It is quite improperly said "spasmodic" because I actually control what I write and the way I move my fingers and that is usually done in an organized manner. Anyway, I was just trying to point out the fact that it is useless and quite irrational to regard his talent as a result of a mythical and imaginary influence. Nonetheless, it is a fabulous opus, yet I do think that its beauty and grace comes solely from Albinoni's dedication and hard work

  • @boneheadorwhat it wasn't god, it was opium

  • @rufiel83 Open season for Gonks I see?

  • Me enamore... Simplemente hermosa!!

  • just concentrate....

  • no need to write mutch !! so beautifull , thanks !

  • Personal matters should be kept to ones self.

  • on my grandpas funeral this tuesday to come :'(

Grazie Albinoni

  • Thomas J. McDonnell April 5, 1936-August 4, 2011 Rest in peace

  • This song makes me sad! You dont just hear the Emotion. You feel it too

  • @mkai4492 No, no, no. Not sad. It fills me with an intense fierceness of pure, sharp sound. It lets me soar with its highest notes and allows me to draw on its minor chords for tears, but no, not sadness. I become very aware of me and my world when listening to this. Minors are good.

It is not the only piece of music to evince these feelings. Largos and adagios are made to pull emotions from their closeted hiding place and let you soar with honest feeling. That's not sad. That's wonderful.

  • fuck the 22 people who disliked and likes rap.. I love this song I listen to this every time I work

  • I'm not sure if this is the original tempo to the piece, but compared to other versions this slower pacing completely changes the feel of the song. Much more melancholic and solemn.

  • the server garden ,waiting to tke us into the sever garden jim morrison song,

the doors , ladyes an yellomens from los angeles california

  • This was played in the ending of the memorial of the killed in Norway...

  • Not a piece to hear when u have the blues. Makes me think of snow covered stone mausoleums in winter. Sadness all the way except a possible ray of hope starting at 5:30. It then quickly returns to its dark chords and then begins its anger! It then quiets down and finally dies out on a dark minor chord expressing hopelessness to be continued. It's a musical journey representing all emotions experienced after a nasty tragic event with irreversible results such as paralysis and death!

  • GRANDE! Sempre!

  • always reminds me of the holocoust

  • I feel i listen this song directly with my soul !

  • Ibi Jedi, IBI JEDI!

  • For you my son ! Razvan Ionut ( 11.09.1987 - 29.01.1988 ) Rest in peace !

  • Albinoni did not compose this, Giazotto did. Doesn't stop it from being a masterpiece though.

Informate bien.

  • @txemata1 Giazotto did not create a variation of it, he based the entire piece off of a tiny fragment of manuscript he supposedly discovered written by Albinoni. To date the manuscript fragment has not been found and the general consensus is that Giazotto composed the piece, whatever he may have used as inspiration. Try to research a bit yourself before calling people out on what you think is false knowledge.

  • @txemata1 Your sources are mistaken and a quick Google search will confirm this. The only parts of the piece written by Albinoni are that of the figured bass and two first violin fragments on a tiny piece of manuscript, given to Giazotto by the State Library of Dresden which he used as the basis of his work. In no way does this mean that the piece was composed by Albinoni. Do not try to be witty and insult my intelligence by drawing false parallels, it removes some civility from the debate.

Tambien pido disculpas si te has sentido ofendido, no era mi intención. I was wrong, sorry.Excuse me please.

  • A quien no gusta este musica? Está tán bonita! Qué quieres más?

  • Fantasy thank you !

  • It is the ecstasy of music. Immortal Albinoni, thank you maestro Giazotto for bringing the past alive.

  • My grandfather died yesterday. I've never been really close to him, even he we lived in the same house... I was almost sure that I was ok with his death, but now I am listening to this song and I simply can't stop crying. It's beautiful, but it's so sad and touching... it just makes me think of every moment I can remember spending with him.

  • @FrenchPorcelainDoll I'm very sorry. =(

  • @FrenchPorcelainDoll A curse on you...now I'm crying! Very moving, Thanks
