This piece is like a total description of what we, humans, are, how we are, and what the world around us is, and why it is, and how it is. Shortly: Truly God Inspired Music.

@Kurobisu it was 2 am and you were really tired. It happens to me sometimes. Seriously though, if I'm tired enough, I can cry for hours because of a song. And then once I stop crying, I pass out. I think the longest time I've cried non-stop was 3 hours.
A tad too slow. The score itself is a wonderful tug at the heartstrings and mine are as tugged as the next person's. A clever composition in minor chords. They always get us going. There must be a vibrational connection between our heart beats and minor chords.
There are studies on minor chords and the way we are affected. I think they make sense and in no way detract from the feeling that overwhelms me when I hear this. I still hug myself with my eyes shut and rocking in my chair blown away.
As you have had the mental capacity to pose this question, I have to wonder why you need to seek the answer from me.
Is your power of reasoning so slight that engagement of brain stimulus results only in spasmodic movement of fingertips on a keyboard? If the former is indeed true I look forward to your next syllable with eager anticipation. :-)
@boneheadorwhat hold your horses joseph ducreux. It is quite improperly said "spasmodic" because I actually control what I write and the way I move my fingers and that is usually done in an organized manner. Anyway, I was just trying to point out the fact that it is useless and quite irrational to regard his talent as a result of a mythical and imaginary influence. Nonetheless, it is a fabulous opus, yet I do think that its beauty and grace comes solely from Albinoni's dedication and hard work
@mkai4492 No, no, no. Not sad. It fills me with an intense fierceness of pure, sharp sound. It lets me soar with its highest notes and allows me to draw on its minor chords for tears, but no, not sadness. I become very aware of me and my world when listening to this. Minors are good.
It is not the only piece of music to evince these feelings. Largos and adagios are made to pull emotions from their closeted hiding place and let you soar with honest feeling. That's not sad. That's wonderful.
I'm not sure if this is the original tempo to the piece, but compared to other versions this slower pacing completely changes the feel of the song. Much more melancholic and solemn.
Not a piece to hear when u have the blues. Makes me think of snow covered stone mausoleums in winter. Sadness all the way except a possible ray of hope starting at 5:30. It then quickly returns to its dark chords and then begins its anger! It then quiets down and finally dies out on a dark minor chord expressing hopelessness to be continued. It's a musical journey representing all emotions experienced after a nasty tragic event with irreversible results such as paralysis and death!
@48whiteangel I am so sorry to hear that you've lost your son. It's the hardest moment in one's life, but keep in your mind the thought that he is somewhere above watching on you and being happy. My deepest condolence !!!
@48whiteangel Oh that is so lovely. Bogdan is a tipical bulgarian name,if i am not mistaken...I am from Bulgaria...It's a populer name here...That comes from BOG...which means GOD...
@txemata1 Giazotto did not create a variation of it, he based the entire piece off of a tiny fragment of manuscript he supposedly discovered written by Albinoni. To date the manuscript fragment has not been found and the general consensus is that Giazotto composed the piece, whatever he may have used as inspiration. Try to research a bit yourself before calling people out on what you think is false knowledge.
@txemata1 Your sources are mistaken and a quick Google search will confirm this. The only parts of the piece written by Albinoni are that of the figured bass and two first violin fragments on a tiny piece of manuscript, given to Giazotto by the State Library of Dresden which he used as the basis of his work. In no way does this mean that the piece was composed by Albinoni. Do not try to be witty and insult my intelligence by drawing false parallels, it removes some civility from the debate.
Tambien pido disculpas si te has sentido ofendido, no era mi intención. I was wrong, sorry.Excuse me please.
My grandfather died yesterday. I've never been really close to him, even he we lived in the same house... I was almost sure that I was ok with his death, but now I am listening to this song and I simply can't stop crying. It's beautiful, but it's so sad and touching... it just makes me think of every moment I can remember spending with him.

@48whiteangel You can't dedicate someone else's work to your kid. I mean it's a touching thought and all, but you can't. I'm sorry.

Albinoni did not compose this, Giazotto did. Doesn't stop it from being a masterpiece though.
shrylock 6 months ago 20
Informate bien.

Try to research a bit yourself before calling people out on what you think is false knowledge.

txemata1 6 months ago

Albinoni composed this piece. Giazotto only did an arrangement!
