  • "All the cats are doin the Twist". Great stuff.

  • i new him when he was a milkman on the isle of wight

  • I spotted Arthur Mullard in that video, he's wonderful.

  • Helen was very great indeed and in many styles, a phenomenal natural voice. However for me Dusty Springfield was even greater still. Both should stay in our hearts and minds forever!

  • The version of this song on the original vinyl soundtrack is not the same. It's sung by Craig Douglas only. And the version I have by him on a greatest hits CD is not the same as the one on the soundtrack. It makes you wonder how many versions there were. I like this one though - it should have been on the original LP, along with many other songs featured in the movie like Double Trouble by the Brook Brothers.

  • Vynikající film v roce 1962 bez konkurence,byl jsem na něm 3krát v týdnu!!

  • I can't say that I really like the song but I have had a whole new world opened up to me on this web site with Craig Douglas, Billy Fury and Helen Shapiro etc. While a lot of it is covers of American recordings it's still good I like to hear a different rendition of one of my teenage favorites as long as it's good Thanks for the postings

  • Ahhhh como eu queria estar nesse koçakoo aeee.....Ring a ding is MAAARAAA !

  • I put this on my Mp3 player for gym workout.

Much better then the crap playing at the gym.

Gets me going all the time :)

  • A nice lively ditty.....did anyone spot Arthur Mullard twisting away? Fun days.

  • Nice to see Mr Jacobs, Mr Murray and the charming Mr Freeman in the audience.

This video demonstrates what a world class singer Ms Shapiro was and no doubt still is (the best female singer the UK has ever produced).

  • ITS trad dad re-released on dvd in uk 23/11/09

  • Helen & Craig used to appear often together in the films they made (a bit like Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello). But its good to see Craig still bringing in the crowds. Great performance by Sounds Incorporated; they were a truly world class backing band - pity they slit

  • Don't you mean "split" - or were you looking at Helen's trousers?

  • Great sax from Major West of Sounds Inc..

  • Another great track from Craig. Thanks for posting it

  • Haha, so cute. I want to see this movie.

  • Thanks Piggie58 for digging this up and posting. Helen is great.

  • I have loved this movie since the first time I saw it on TCM two years ago. This is a timeless classic and I highly recommend this movie to anyone who loves great music. That being said, this is my favorite song from the whole movie.

  • A version of this is on CD's greatest hits but this cut from the movie rocks the best!

  • Superb Classic -

  • whos the guy sat next to david jacobs and pete murray? is it keith fordyce?

  • Looks like a young Alan Freeman

  • Its Fluff

  • Everybody's Ring a ding...

    Wow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is my favorite movie! It's a must see!!!

  • Wow! What a fantastic clip! The most rockin' duet I've ever seen. Thanks!

  • the sounds incorporated seems to be here, ins' it ?

  • It's god to see Arthur Mullard having a good 'ole time!!

  • Piggie: Is this song on a cd?

    Hello from Texas!!!

  • As far as I know it's not on any of Helen's C.D.s (I have 7). It might possibly be on one of Craig Douglas's.

  • @PIGGIE58

I have an LP called 'It's Trad Dad', and the song is on there - although I have to say that Gene McDaniel's 'Another Tear Falls', became my favourite track.

Good to see these oldies again though :D

  • Is that good old Arthur Mullard who comes into camera at 1 min 21 secs?

  • Helen didn't need to have the camera focus on her "bum" with a face as cute as she has!!! It was someone else in my opinion.....here is another example of a song becoming "stuck," in my head!!! By the way, the sax notes at the end will open your sinuses up!!!

    Breathing Freely in Texas.....Ring-A-Ding-Ding

  • THANKS SO MUCH Piggies58 - once again!

It's great to see also Craig Douglas and even David Jacobs there!

(and thanks so much to the Australian girl who was kind enough to send it to you)

    MUCH APPRECIATED

  • Piggie: I love the vocal on this song.....but the last sax notes.....my teeth rattle!!!! I love the sax but Lord......who in the world though those high notes would make the song better?......Helen is in a dress and not the slacks that they show.....am I right? Thanks for all the hard work you do for your fans....

  • Thanks again Piggie!

  • Yeh, I'm pretty sure it is someone else's Botty wiggling about there.

  • Yes, I think it would have been unseemly :0 in 1962 to have a camera focused on a 15 year olds bum. hehe

  • Thanks for the info, Piggie, but it is YOU that I owe. I owe you, BIG TIME....I am having a ball sending your videos of Helen to people all over America...even a couple of Harvard grads!!! And thanks for the correspondence. I'm new at this and a bit overwhelmed by Helen so I tend to go on a bit!!!

  • Is this movie available Piggie?

  • I dont think it is available on DVD. I only got hold of this one from an Australian girl on YouTube, who had it in her collection. And she offered it to me, because she only specialises in Australian Stars on her page.

The film was released in America in 1962, but under a different name "RING A DING RHYTHM".

Thank you for all your messages you have posted.

  • Helen....why did American not fall in love with you? I love love love this woman!!! GOD BLESS YOU HELEN. THIS OLE TEXAN IS TELLING EVERYONE ABOUT YOU!!!

MANY THANKS FOR POSTING!!!!!!!! 100% FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!
