  • Get rid of nets!

  • THE KINGS ARE TO HIGH IN NUMBERS HERE IN ONTARIO'S GREAT LKAES...

kinda wish the gov never introduced them now.. millions of salmon spawing each year. and dying.. lol look of credit river ontario, yall can learn from us canadians we do fishing right...

    FISH ON!

  • 1.get rid of nets! 2. more funding for fish and game!!! 3. more research on how they live in the ocean. 4.

  • they went to the credit river in canada its safer

  • hold up alaska is getting millions if not billions of salmon each year.

  • Well, first off, if your gonna talk about the Chinook Collapse on the Sac., lets not show pictures of Sockeye & Chum, that have never been Cal. Salmon, show at least a little knowledge of what you're talking about, second, anglers have the least impact on the fishery, unregulated fishing has a huge impact, but by far the biggest impact is the spawning grounds, the river health, & a good estuary to transition from river to ocean life.

  • They all came to BC bro!

  • There are a ton of smallmouth bass around the area of Lake Michigan that I live in this year. There hasn't been this many in over a decade. It's probably because of cormorant control rather than overfishing, but it's still pretty good that they are making a comeback. I see them every time I go swimming, and they come up to around 2 feet of water to eat the crayfish around my friend's dock, it's pretty cool.

  • What should also be looked at is the affect that Alaska farms up to 1.5 billion salmon each year to sustain their fake wild salmon fishery has on food compatition with our wild salmon on the US and Canada's west coast.

  • kenai river had a collapse too. but i doubt california has ever had a better chinook run than washington/oregon

  • breaks my fucking heart. I'm from scotland, if you felt you needed to know and to be honest i see this happening eveywhere around the world. I do my best, release fish where i can, always take away my rubbish and even use my home most efficiently but people just seem to be ignorant. " Only keeping on a light " does great harm to the environment... it affects everything and it is a great shame that people are unwilling to realise this before it becomes too late. Argh...

  • @colmsnipe Agreed! most of the lakes where i live (Burns Lake BC) are being fished out!

  • Shasta Dam and all other dams can be to blame along with many other white society actions against nature>

  • Good News! 2009 is on schedule to be the largest salmon run in years. 2011 will no doubt be a bad year as the three year cycle comes around. I live in the Skykomish valley and this run is our life blood. It is indeed the last days but, this year we will fish.

  • @KeeperofTheMountain well thats great - the fish come back and you fish them all up

  • @adamb0000 Yes, but only what I need. Look at my video called Amaizing street salmon and you will see how I feel about salmon. My actions speak louder than your words.

  • @KeeperofTheMountain hee hee its ok - it was supposed to be a funny remark not a dig at you ツ

  • OK, I Laugh now .... very heartily. LOL

Did you like my salmon flick?

  • i lived in washington state, and i had no idea chinook got this large.

what a shame people would just destroy such a beautiful species and not even care.

this world is moving in the wrong direction.

we need to save nature.... it is the most beautiful thing we have.
