Knuckles Chaotix: the final boss + good ending (test 3)

God, this game looks so bad. It simply exudes a feeling of "yea we had some novel concepts, but we just rushed this out to market to get some quick bucks". This is also one of the worst "good" endings I've ever seen. There isn't even a cutscene showing them getting everything back to normal, not even a cheap "slideshow".

@mistamontiel I use a recording software. There are a bunch of free reliable ones on the net, but people are always arguing about which one is the best one. I like CamStudio, because I didn't have to make modifications other than turning on sound recorder. The most popular one though is Hypercam, but many people don't know how to make greater quality videos. Hypercam might work better for you.

From what I know, Bomb and Heavy were going to be Sonic And Tails, (Originally) This was going to be Sonic 4. If you notice while in the character grabber Bomb and Heavy are Blue And Yellow. Hence they didn't take out the sprite colors for the original idea. The sonic hack out there does no justice. I am going to look into something a little more in depth myself.

I want to say this Sonic And Tails probably were going to be in it. The ending is proof. But reasons for them taking them out i don't know. However, The game is actually called "Chaotix" They added the Knuckles part on the cartridge and case, Meaning I think that it was not intentionally going to have Knuckles as the Star.

This is a some what final vision of the original Sonic 4 that was going to be on the Genesis, But the 32X I didn't think was very impressive. It's almost impossible to get all the emeralds and Metal Sonic Battle is all timing. This was one of my favorites I just wish it was ported to a newer system.

And yeah, Sonic and Tails, they were originally in Chaotix. Lucky for us, programmers made a hack down at SonicRetro, where Sonic is put back into the game (Replacing MIGHTY, and it actually works). Too bad they didn't use the ending screen as a title screen, replaced Heavy and Bomb, inputted Tails, but oh well... There can always be a version 3. ;-)

You know, you did some of this end boss battle the hard way.

In the first part, the Buzzsaws that come out of the ground won't hit you in the corners, and the spiked balls that bash the ground won't hit you if you're in the corner nearest to when it came out of the ground.

And with the third part of the Super Metal Sonic battle, don't bother to fly...if you stand on the ground his laser won't hit you. Just run under his torso and jump to hit it.

Using Heavy as the partner was a good idea!

But SEGA can't let go of sonic. Sonic is their mascot and makes it into hidden cameos of almost every game. But this isn't a surprise since Nintendo couldn't let go of Mario. Mario has to make it into almost every game (even Zelda Ocarina of Time!)
