  • Wow I drove today with my dad all the way to Napanne, In (I live in South Bend) and I got lost finding the place where I was going to buy a German Sheapeard for about two and a half hours and when I finally bought my dog I told my dad it was all worth it.

  • Just got an 8 week old puppy today. I tried dipping his pee in the puppy pad, but he didn't learn yet. After all, just got him today, he'll learn soon.

  • Thank you! This is much clearer explanation than the other videos i watched. Make sense! I'll try it and hope it works.

  • WOW this dint help

  • you guys have so many videos

  • if you have an access to a backyard, you can get them potty trained outside in the first place so you don't need all this.

  • :/ I like to be visually shown I dont like explanations blah blah I want visual goddamnit >:(

  • Good advise except for the praising in the act, at least with my 11 week old pup. If I praise while he is in the act, he gets excited and stops. I watch closely, click him the very moment he is done, then treat. Other than that, great advise!

  • Cool video!

  • I got my dog one of these pads and all he does is tear it up and drag it around the house.

  • @DukeBlueDevilz1 mine to

  • @DukeBlueDevilz1 did you get the dogs pee scent on it before laying it out ???

  • @1UP09 Yeah doesn't work

  • @DukeBlueDevilz1 That doesn't necessarily meant he concept doesn't work. For all we know your dog is simply not a very well trained dog. For instance if my dog started to do such a thing I'd call his name and firmly tell him "no". If he continued i would repeat until he finally realizes he shouldn't be doing that.

  • @windextor05 Not well trained??? hes 2 and a half months old

  • My puupy bites on everything like the news paper on the floor...what can i do??

  • Where can you get the wet pads?

  • @Emiliegurl26 walmart, kmart, petstore

  • Is There A Such Thing As A Litter Tray 4 Dogs? Or Is It Only Used For Cats?

  • Of all the videos on youtube on housebreaking this one actually tells you what to do. The rest are just a waste of life.

  • Well, I live in an apartment.... I have those pads and I soak the pee and nothing happens, the puppy keeps peeing on the floor and not on the pad....:((( I'm consistently trying for 2 days now.... I hope in like a week or 2 it will learn to pee on the pad...:))

  • @3333alex hey i am in the prediciment you were in 2 months ago.... how are you making out now.... please give me hope!!! lol

  • @barbaydian261 she's learned to pee on the pad with the help of her crib... it's not a crate it's six pieces of somehow metal fences and I keep her toys in there her "pee pee pad", bed and her water-food and she has learned... there are of course some accidents but that happens... :)

  • @3333alex well put in the smallest cage they will fit never take them out unless holding leting them eat or out side to rest room they will finally get it and walah they trained

  • @devauntai1 I said she knows her "peeing spot"

  • THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • only useful video i watched

  • Well it took awhile but i trained my puppy to go one the pad awhile ago. he should be able to go outside and use the bathroom soon. @myteloneee, i do know how to take care of a dogs considering ive had one b4. its just that when i got her, she wasnt a puppy like the one i have now. and ive figured out how to deal with the school situation soo stfu

  • hey, can anyone help me, i have a baby chi, she's 4mths now. and she started going potty on the pads and i'd treat her and all of this, never really pooped. but now she's stopped everything, i need to train her quick cause we live in appts and need to keep clean..we have a balcony tho. ANY ADVICEEE?

  • This is a very good Idea.

    Makes a lot sence.

  • Im getting a puppy for Christmas. I watched this video but my problem is that i have school and i don't know what to do for my dog when im not home. I kno there's going to be pee everywhere when i come home. But how can i prevent that from even happening? Plus dogs need to be taken out a lot. But if im at school, it won't be able to...What should i do??

  • @10bLaCkJaCk21 Did you solve your problem cus Im going to have the same problem soon and I just wanted to know how you dealt with that.

  • I have the same situation, got a puppy for xmas, and no one to watch her when at school most of the time, if you get any advice can you inform me haha.?

  • @10blackjack21 and @genny7172

you should NOT get the puppy. if you cant properly care for the animal (including being able to take it out every couple hours) then you shouldnt own the puppy. Do people not understand common sense today? wow

  • @10bLaCkJaCk21 I've just got a dog too, what I'm doing on school days is building a fence around his kennel a peepee pad, therefore, when he needs to go, he just walks out of his kennel and goes.

  • Great to learn how to transition the potty training from inside to outside. I have also learnt that you can tie a bell to the back door, and then everytime before you take your dog out to pee, rub his nose gently against the bell to ring it....then they learn to ring the bell when they want to pee. I hope my upcoming puppy will learn these tricks.

  • Nice

  • Thanks!

  • thankyou madalyn that was helpful x

  • I think it was the 'ok guys listen up' not really the best way to start when asking for help!

  • i didnt say any thing wrong oh wow

  • ok guys listen up im getting a puppy and im only twelve years old and my parents say if i want a puppy its my responcibility do u have any tips for a kid who is looking for a more playful dog?

  • start out with a poodle and play with him/her all the time take him/her for walks on a daily basis (after meals and naps) feed him/or her twice a day. make sure she has her bussiness before the end of the walk.

  • my dog sniffs around for a minute then pees, so all i have to do is pick her up before she pees, always go outside with your puppy when they are going to the restroom!

  • hi , my dog is 14 years old, we never potty trained him when he was a puppy , he lives inside the house and he tends to pee inside and outside of the house, outside we have gardens so we dont mind, but inside we dont like it, and i dont know what to do or say to him anymore, because he keeps doing it even though i clean the house multiple times, what do you suggest i could do with him? i know he is not a puppy so it will harder to train him now...

  • I was watching this one show on Animal Planet. They were training a dog how to goto the bathroom outside so if they have not gone in the house yet then take them outside for 5 minutes and walk him/her just back and forth. If they didn't go in that five minutes then bring hem in and put him/her on your lap for 10 minutes or so then after 10 minutes go outside again and try over and over until he has it or she.

  • first u gotta go 2 a pet store and get special cleaner for where it goes to da bathroom because even when u clean it up with regular cleaners the dog will smell it. go out with the dog to go to the bathroom. reward him when he does. watch him in another room where he can c u. when he lifts his leg start making a loud noise and pop out a da room. he will get it after a while

    hope this helps u

  • Well when he goes inside never punish him that makes him want to go in the house when your not looking. When he goes outside pet his head, give him a treat, tell him he is a good boy. Make him think going outside is good and inside is boring and soon enough he'll be potty trained. Madalyn

  • omg this really help

  • thank you so much i have a dog have knows how to go outside and one dont and this can really help me i was thinking to giveing the dog away but this might work thank you so much sir

  • good stuff!!
