Yes, actually. This end where Prier becomes an overlord DOES seem to be canon to the storyline, since she always appears in Overlord form during any cameos in Disgaea.
It would have been pretty nice if you got the Overlord title and her sprite changed to demon form for the rest of that game's playthrough, would have been a nice touch. I remember in Disgaea 2 when Adell and Rosalin meet her, she has that cold, unemotional expression. When I saw that cutscene, I rememered this and thought Prier was jealous of Rozalin because she's a demon thats accepted by humans, where Prier was abandoned by humans, both friend and family, when she becaome one.
If the objective is to defeat 20 level 500+ overlords and one level 700+ in one run, then why didn't you kill that Talos?
I've heard so many theories on how to get the Demon Overlord title that I'm dazed and confused. I've started a Dark World at level 500, killed a combined total of 24 demon lords and overlord, and STILL didn't get the title.
I really don't know what the hell. I got the title on a run where I didn't kill that amount in one run. Just keep going at it on a 300 DEI dark world and it'll happen.

and NOW nippon ichi have released a ton of psp games. only one of them is a ps2 remake, i think the others are brand new games. so you'll have to get those plus disgaea 3 on the ps3 to complete your collection. not to mention any other game NIS is going to inevitably release on the ps3 after disgaea
Disgaea 3 is the reason why I got a ps3 ready, and for the likelihood that there will be more sequels to the nippon ichi games that we liked on ps2. I know of the disgaea psp game but probably will dive it a miss as the extras aren't enough. The disgaea 3 look promising the screenshots show it is stiil the 2d style.
yea i was gonna say you do realize there are full motion video trailers of disgaea 3 already. like they have added two new things to the stack attack, they have added colored blocks...whatever they might be, and probably a bunch of other things they couldnt show. and since it is on the ps3 with bad graphics, they'll be able to pull out everything they've got and make the best game of the millenium
@Dotsuto it's the commonly accepted true ending (due to cameos as such) gained through 100%ing the game (in that you kill every demon lord in it, completing all the sidequests)

They have to all be overlords.

My only gripe with the game was that it had no New Game plus, or any way to save your data after you beat the game...

nope, actually the original version is the only version that doesn't have a new game plus.
Europe and Japan got the newer version with Disgaea Baal and a stronger Baal, and a new game plus, we got screwed over by Mastiff.

I dont quite remeber but I think to get this You have to not purify at all, the darkness meter has to be in the high percentages. like 99 or 100.

kindof like Hyperdrive(Teleport anywere), With the light Canon equipted, you can atack anyone u want
Example: the enemy is 50 steps away from you, and u have to beat him in one turn...but u are still able to hit him with the light year canon equipted!
