haha he's the BEST ever but why do all the greats forget to defend or block correctly I mean they play for themselfs not the team I would prefer playing for the team not being one of the "greats" and win the championship, if lebron played more with his team maybe they would win. and he wouldn't be called "ringless" anymore
I loved the Hemisfair Arena, I wish the Spurs had played there until now. It had unique acustics (not to be heard in full spectrum in this short clip, though) and atmosphere.
After the hard foul by Avery, Armstrong mans up and knocks the pair down. He's Derrick Rose's agent and I'm sure he's in his ear about toughness and consistency which Rose showed in his rookie year(ROY) Great vid.
i miss those days, to me the 91-93 MJ was when he was at his prime, not so much the 87 or the 96 MJ. the 87 MJ was just raw athletisim, the 96 MJ to me was smarter mentally and just a little less athletic
I agree...the 90-91 Michael still had the fastest first step in NBA history, had come to age with his fadeaway, and was made tough as nails by the Detroit Pistons...Indeed the prototype player..Kobe is NOT there...but someday someone will be...
The # of views being low doesn't bother me at all.
When I joined YouTube, I'd commented on a few posters videos about the classic Bulls games I had at my disposal. Alot of these guys, as well as younger posters who DIDN'T really get a chance to see MJ in his PRIME, were asking me to join the brigade if U will, in posting these games.
That's when I decided to accept that invitation & join the likes of Bruce Blitz, mlynch & Hoopsencyclopedia to name a few, in posting 'em..
guys like u rock, all these kobe fans i believe compare kb with the 96-98 MJ, even though kb couldnt even reach the "im back" level, but the 84-93 MJ... that symbolized the glory days of the NBA
not at all. MJ's immaculate footwork at full display. He set himself up for a leaner dunk with stutter step b4 having fully holding the ball. did all that in 1 same motion. '91 -'93 did a lot of that. looks like a travel but definitely not.
J.R. Reid is a local crack user in Virginia Beach, VA. Last I knew he was just fired from a holiday inn. The police are always after him. Very sad, he used to be on top of the world.
One of my favorite games that season, even though Chicago lost it was still a real good game. Jordan was the only one for Chicago who could hit that day
True he did struggle with that wrist that whole season, but the one thing was he struggled because of fatigue because of the 2 long seasons with them in the Finals and the Dream Team in the summer
I have this complete game on DVD I was there that Arena was fucking Loud....Lloyd Daniels was "tarks" Rookie Star that year....Lucas benched his ass and put in Avery to run the Offense that year...it was good we beat the Blazers who were the defending West COnference Champs but we lost that year on Barkley's shot.....
I remember that...Robinson backpeddled a little too freely...and Barkley made him pay...in fact, made it look easy...I would have put Carr on him and doubled as soon as Barkley put it down.
Everyone in the arena knew Barkley was gonna take that shot they should have doubled him and forced Angie, or Thunder Dan to take that shot. David hesitated and he should have been on his grill he would have blocked that shot he gave Charles way too much space. That was Lucas' error in coaching and true Carr would have forced Barkley to take that contested shot.
It probably annoys U because you're probably one of these kids of today that "KNOWS" they're getting an "INFERIOR" brand of ball & deeply resents it & when someone points it out, U get in your feelings about it. Deal with it..
what the Fuck did anybody expect Jordan to play till he was 100...that's why people bitch about the NBA not being the way it was.. the US sucks...at B-ball because the rest of the world has caught up with US....it's all about shoes and big contracts now!!!!!! ohhh and Dunking
Good no flagrant call since Avery Johnson was going for the ball not B.J. Armstrong's head. What made it look hurtful was B.J.'s light frame bouncing a bit off the floor. But in today's game that would have been a ejection and maybe a one-game suspension. Nice vid though. It shows that MJ has great highlights despite not winning every game.
Your video is a favorite on Georgia

I remember that "doberman" defense with MJ, Pippen and Grant....when they would go full court press and just force turnovers.

MJ was struggling with that injured wrist though. It hurted his overall FG% that year, Spurd were always tough to get past
