  • first time i hear bout wa belizean fertilitydance

  • word.

  • proud belizean! love my ppl!

  • It's like watching simple, basic animals doing mating rituals. That's to be expected with such primitive creatures.

  • i saw the show and enjoyed but thought it highlighted the strangest things...by that i mean the not well known and not common fetures of Belize. would have enjoyed if more the common everyday loveliness of Belize was shown as well.

  • Please Belizeans are not Hispanic or Latino !

Some may be but many are not !

  • what are you talking about my Spanish teacher Sra.Wing was born and raised in Belize and she is very much Latino!

  • @bajanboy883

Okay yes many Belizeans I have spoke with regardless of their race identify as Latino BUT I don't understand how they can be Latino exactly if English is the official language of that country. I mean I know a lot of Spanish speakers have lived in Belize but the black creoles I would not expect to be Latino because their history is rooted from slaves under Jamaican and British colonial links and attachments!

In that case Trinidadians and Jamaicans could be considered Latino !

  • well i agree with you because i didnt understand at first but there is a latino population there.. my Maestra is spanish/native and chinese decent and she looks south american.. but there are latinos there its a latino country alot of belizeans speak Spanish

  • @bajanboy883

Well what does south americans look like? their really is NO TRUE south american look? i get what you are saying!

But um I still don't understand why Belizeans consider themselves Latino ! Especially the black creole ones! The Garifuna community in Belize I can understand because their culture is rooted from Spanish in someway especially since Honduras is like their "headquarters"! lol but Belize is a Central American country geographically!

  • when i say south american i mean indengonous and spanish look

  • @bajanboy883

That is an ignorant statement about saying "look south american" because in reality there is no such thing! Most of central America is considered mestizoes also! And so then I guess a black person can't be south American in your opinion?! There hundreds of millions of blacks in south America FYI! That is offensive to Afro Latinos in south America?! Smh!

  • @bajanboy883 You did not know that every country in Latin America and the Caribbean has black people in them?

  • yes i know this i was just trying to explain to you that i meant what indigonous people look like because they are the rightful south american people because there indigonous to that land... but i am caribbean and latin american and im proud of the black roots as much of everything else i am very aware of it... i was just letting you know that its not just black people in Belize i respect you for not gettin disrespectful though

  • @bajanboy883

Oh it is ok! I am not mad! I was just saying there is no true south American look! For example would not think you are Latin American looking at you! That is not right! Blacks to me are true south Americans also!

Sorry if I was disrespectful! I did not mean to sound that way!

But yeah south america is very diverse!

  • @bajanboy883

    What is your background?

  • my mothers father is Trinidadian and my gradmother is Creole(German,Dutch,Indian,Liberian) and on my fathers side my grandmother is Dominican from Hispaniola there mite be a haitian mix idk.. and my grandpa is Cuban and Bajan....

  • @bajanboy883

Oh interesting! Yeah west indians caribbeans antilleans etc went to many Latin American countries! Alot of west Indians went to Cuna especially Haitians and jamaicans! DR also has a lorlt of west Indians! They call them cocolos/guloyas

  • yeah thats why when people ask me what i am i say Westindian because my family is from too many islands lol.. but my Dominican Familia looks White/Hispanic i know there black though because my great grandpa was a black dominican

  • @bajanboy883

Yeah well you can say your Dominican familia is white! Obviously they look white for a reason they are white or just mixed lol

  • yeah lol what is ur mix?

  • @bajanboy883

Lol me! I am American born and raised! My father is 100% American (black) and my mother is from the West Indies from the island Commonwealth of Dominica aka Dominica!!! it is not DR everyone gets it confused

  • oh okay yeah i know what country it is.. thats why whenever someone tell me there dominican i ask from hispaniola or Dominica

  • Lol! yeah but Dominican and Dominican are pronounced differently anyway so I can usually tell, but I always make sure too lol

  • bajanboy883 Why is Haitian lower case? And you are so accurate about the other countries, but their might not "mite" be Haitian what is wrong with you black people seriously? You are so full of shit and you can go eat shit ass muncher , was that supposed to be an insult to Haitian grow the fuck up and stop claiming you are a mix of this and that black baboon, lost monkey grow the fuck up, dumb THUG, and get educated with your slave mentality cunt.

  • @alphaphi09 what the fuck are you talking about i said there might be a haitian mix no that wasnt supposed to be a insult... my family is dominican thats what i grew up wid i didnt grow up with nothing haitian so i dont know there could be an ancestor thats all i was saying dont put fucking words in my mouth i love haitians some of my best friends are haitian ..im not a thug don't insult me i'm actually in school and have a 4.0 gpa

  • @bajanboy883 kudos to you and I’m glad that you are in school and have a 4.0 GPA, NOW it’s either you had a typo nahh… there's no way it could have been a typo because you wrote Haiti (AN) with a lower case while the others was uppercase and, you said "mite" instead of might do you know the definition for mite. It was rude what you did and disgraceful that is why I came to you so harsh.

  • @alphaphi09 i know how to spell i write words like that sometimes because its faster and easier... and you shouldn't take it that way that i uppercased everything except for Haitian its not that serious you made something out to be what it wasnt intended to be i did have an type i met to say MIGHT

  • @bajanboy883

Yeah I was always and still am aware that blacks are not the only groups in Belize respectively!

I es just saying it is confusing how many of them identify as Latino to me especially when they are black Creoles! Also I find no historical connection to Spain although it was a backwater and claimed by Guatemala until 1991

  • @chsn09 Actually the latinos are both from spain and in Mayan so the spanards fucked the mayans and you get meztizo wich is the majorty of latinos in belize!

  • @scremo310 You missed my point! I get that the Spanish had colonized Belize as part of Guatemala before the English officially took it over! And yeah but Latino has came to mean Hispanic from the Western Hemisphere or from a Spanish speaking country! But what I don't get is how Black Kriol Belizeans can say they are Latino when their culture is Afro English

  • @chsn09 ok buddy ther are actually mixed wich is like a whole new race CALL COLLE its a mixed of spanish ppl and black ppl so i guess they can call thenself Latino

  • @scremo310 Lmfao! Spanish people are white! So a spaniard who mixes with a white would then become a mulatto! Yeah I can understand that but Belize is an English speaking nation! I can understand mestizoes in Belize and immigrants from other countries and GARIFUNA in Belize being called Latinos but the black/creole population developed from British colonialism does not favor adhesion to be Latino in my opinion!? This is confusing!

  • @chsn09 no i meant like that what we call LATINO ppl sorry THEY CALLED THEM SELFS SPNASH IDK WHY MABY CUZ THEY SPEAK SPANISH

  • Comment removed

  • @chsn09 I like people like you! You read a little bit on wikipedia and now you're an expert on Belizean ethnicity & Race..LOL. A majority of Belizeans are mixed and often with spanish from one of the other Central American countries... Yes, this goes for the Creoles too. That's why the true Demographic of Belize is very hard to be determined. Look at the Last name of the lady on this clip, is that an English last name? Belize is very much Latin, look at our food and culture. Caribbean too!!!

  • @bajanboy883

Like I know there are a lot of mestizoes from the Spanish speaking Central American nations! There are also indigenous who would have had some contact with Spaniards so that is comprehensible!

But the black creoles in Belize, that is what confuses me when they say they are Latino! Because they are thought of as West Indian and Caribbean and Central American!

But HISTORICALLY and CULTURALLY Belize and Panama ARE NOT Central Americans!

  • @chsn09 Actually, I am west Indian( jamamican) AND Belizean- and let me tell you Belize Doesnt have too many carribean/west indian similarities. Well not enough to be considered wholly carribean. in fact it kinda pisses me off lol when people automatically say that.

  • @chsn09 Also! Belize is a melting pot culture- not only do we have african influence with things like punta rock, carribean with SOME foods like casava. We also have Spanish influences as well. I MEAN WE FUCKING EAT TAMALES, EMPANADES, and RICE AND BEANS TOO. lol

  • @chsn09 i often ask why belize isnt official considered latino. sure we dont speak spanish, (NEITHER DOES BRAZIL, but they r STILL considered latino! their culture is also totally different from hispanic culture!)

and we are very connected to our african roots.. however, there are african influences in EVERY latin country, as the slaves contributed greatly to hispanic culture. Lastly, we located in central america-next 2 fucking mexico/ guatemala and we eat spanish food! lol

  • This is cool. Belizeans getting back in touch with there African roots.

  • I waiting for this to show in the UK, i probably done miss it already. Hurry put the full documentary in youtube pleeease bc i tired a waiting..

  • i just finish watching this episode and i gotta say i really enjoyed it am from that same region but i didn't know much about Belize until this cool people beautiful country great job Zimmers.

  • My spouse & i desperately want a child. However, we purposely will not conceive because we feel that making a life-altering decision without consulting the one most affected [the child] seems wrong. Also, there is a chance that once grown, he may feel I would have preferred non-existence. There, I would have remained safe from all harm." Also, any harm would be our fault. If we had not conceived the child the harm would not have occurred. Do many others think this way?

  • um noooo
