Honestly, it's hard for me to blame the drivers. I blame the car makers. Accidents happen, they always have an always will, whether they're avoidable or not. If you drive, you're in danger. They are not built to survive a beating, and they aren't built to help you survive one either, and we all know they should be.

it's not an 'accident' its a crash or collision. Getting behind the wheel drunk and putting innocent people and yourself at risk is no accident.
