i tried to play arakune, and he's kind of hard to used, u'll nid to curse ur opponent so that ur next atak will do great damage and also u can do different atak form when ur opponent is in curse, iron tager is also hard to used same with hakumen...
Isn't it obvious the Arakune player was throwing the match, he was aether distracted by the hotness on the screen or some little kid was playing. Random special at 1:16, I mean nobody plays that bad, not even me and I suck at GG, BB games pretty bad.
It's a shame that Arakune is so massively underplayed here. I love playing him and I can do so much better than that. I even made up some of my own combos with him. It really a damn shame that one of the best fighters to choose loses to a weaker character.
To be honest, neither of these players are very good. It's kind of hard to watch this fight. Arakune is a tough match for Litchi in most scenarios, because litchi is weak against overheads and air attacks. However, this Arakune isn't playing in a style that is condusive to the situation. I play Litchi, so watching all of these semi combo's and failed combo attempts is irritating.
So what? Not every single person who plays this game is gonna play like a master and get everything spot-on. Sometimes people just want to go online and play the game casualy. It's arrogant guys like who ruin online gaming for casual players.

of all the character I hate litchi the most, V-13, Jin, Noel, etc isn't nearly as annoying as her crap. Of course don't get me wrong, If I hear "Inferno Divider" one more time I might throw my stick. but she is still the most annoying.
nu and rachel are higher up because of their specialties and learning curve. rachels wind can put her into any favorable position and nu can zone the crap outa anyone. another thing to note is that while arakune is a damaging powerhouse, in order to use him properly, you have to deal with his HUGE learning curve. sure, he does a ton of damage, but you have to know what youre doing or else your going to eat almost 50% of your life from a tager throw.
on another note, think of arakune as nu lite. he can "sword spam" like her, but only as long as the opponent is cursed. anyone who says that arakune is worse than nu clearly doesnt play the game enough. how do you deal with a zoning character who can slow you down, excels at running away, and can hit you for 60+ hit combos easy from afar. fighting nu isnt about you playing well, its you capitalizing on nus mistakes cause if she plays well, youre screwed
BlazBlue is no rip off of GG... It may be similar but it's made by Arc Systems (who created GG) a company who made a game can't physically rip off a game that was made by themselves ...stop attacking eachother and enjoy the Japanese style of an awsome fighter... And if you prefer GG just go play that or avoid BB
Its not a ripp-off, okay. I like the game, Im not bashing it harshly, just critically. Ive seen good combos, especially from that sultress Litchi. They did a corner juggle that was bad-ass!!! But I think they should have had Tager, Ragna and others not so similar to GG characters...

BlazBlue is a dissapointment. The characters are clearly a rip-off of GG. Listening to this Litchi and Arakune, they sound like Millia Rage & Faust. Tager/Potemkin, its so obvious!!!! Im suprised gamers are into this!!! I know its from Sammy, but DAMN!!! Did they have to carbon-copy GG? They could have come up with all kinds of ideas. You can keep the fighting format, but they should have work on the chars more than this. I give BlazBlue a 6.5 (for combo appeal...)
Its not design stolen, just copied off of. Theres a difference. The game has great combos and graphics, but playing it reminds me of GG too much. Dont get me wrong, I like the gameplay, but the characters shouldnt have been a semi-mimic of the GG ones.
Well you said these characters were a rip off of the GG characters, then you said they sound like them, that's not exactly ripping them off, it just means their seiyus sound similar. I agree that some of the characters look like the GG characters, the only ones that don't would be Ragna, Rachel, Litchi, Taokaka, Carl, Bang, Hakumen(to an extent), and Nu.
So, 8 of em dont? It doesnt matter. Any gamer (GG gamer for that matter) will see the resemblance of the two. So, if 8 of em arent, why couldnt they just create more UNLIKE GG then? If they wouldve, the game would be more popular, because of its OWN originality. And it isnt just about the characters, its the combo format, announcer, etc. Ive seen cats bad-ass playing this game, and I am impressed, but think of me as a game critic for GameMonthly or some other gaming news source.
In fact, there are four characters with equal or lower health than Arakune (Tao, Ragna, Nu and Carl). This doesn't mean they can't be offensive (in fact, at least Tao and Ragna won't win if they play defensive too much).
You realize that the reason hes arguably the best character in the game is because its incredibly easy to curse people, and once you do you can pretty much pressure string until their guard breaks, at which point you can do absurdly strong combos meterlessly. Honestly hes the only character I feel really needs a nerf. He may not have much health but hes too hard to catch and he can start his god like offense without having to put himself in remote danger on most characters.
Nu really isn't half as bad as arakune . I think maybe a damage nerf since she does to ridiculous damage. But really its just a mind game trying to make her guess which way you'll come in and go the other way.
I really don't know, I mean Arakune is really bad, but Nu can be just as terrible, a few of her match ups are so lopsided. Plus Rachel and Nu are higher than Arakune on the tier list after all.
Well thats true, but you also have to account for the fact that of the 3, arakune definately has more odd factors at play that little discoveries could really cause major changes in. I'm a bang player and I've seen an arakune player do a loop on my with 0 tension that cost me about 65 percent health and bang has the most health in the game next to tager. So I think his position in the tier list is purely due to undiscovered abilities, although he is bangs worst match up, so it could be me.
How is he remotely better than nu? She has no bad matchups, and an insane zoning game to boot, plus she completely destroys arakune. She is in way need of a nerf than he is.
Simple, yes he does have issues with Nu, however she is one of the very few characters that have a competant way around him. As for how hes better. All he has to do is land a curse, which is ridiculously effortless, and he can easily chomp off 60 percent off bang without even using heat. Or he can just pressure you till your guard breaks or you go into danger. The problem with him comes in the fact that its incredibly easy to get somebody stuck in the core of his pressure.
Once they are in that core, he can easily recurse them all while doing his absurd amounts of damage. Nu usually has to RC to do decent damage. Also with her at least there is some sort of mind game so you can get in on her and fight back. With him its just " Try dodging my self curse while I teleport in circles around you. His melee is also absurdly strong and he can easily slip out of any pressure with his dashes. The guy seriously takes very little skill for how good he is.
ridiculously effortless? do you know how to block? the curse isnt easy to get a good player with, there arent any high attacks or low attacks with the curse and the best curse moves can be punished before they can be executed, if anything getting someone in the curse and keeping them there is a pain in the ass, especially since curse combos are the hardest thing to do on this game
unblockable? you rush arakune and you beat him, dont get caught in the cloud, a good way to get around the cloud is to attack him as much as possible, if you do that you win

This game is not overhyped, it has the same treatment as it's predecessor, Guilty Gear, and everybody knows how GG played out: great. Saying it's "reskinned" is just because of looking at the game. Though alot of people say that, they never say how, so it's an empty statement.

That Litchi was pretty good, but as someone who considers himself only one step above a total scrub with Arakune, I have to say that was a really poor example of how to play him. Nothing against the player, but he barely used his clouds, never jumped into a combo from hits that can lead into them, used his distortion drive miles away from the opponent, didn't stay in the air, etc.
ArcadeInfinity's Ranbat had a damn awesome Arakune, if you want to see how deadly this character is, watch that.
I play w/ Litchi and Arakune, and I gotta say, if this Arakune used his air trick, used the serrrin cloud w/ the bell bug, he would've had a better chance

Its not a ripp-off, okay. I like the game, Im not bashing it harshly, just critically. Ive seen good combos, especially from that sultress Litchi. They did a corner juggle that was bad-ass!!! But I think they should have had Tager, Ragna and others not so similar to GG characters...

BlazBlue is a dissapointment. The characters are clearly a rip-off of GG. Listening to this Litchi and Arakune, they sound like Millia Rage & Faust. Tager/Potemkin, its so obvious!!!! Im suprised gamers are into this!!! I know its from Sammy, but DAMN!!! Did they have to carbon-copy GG? They could have come up with all kinds of ideas. You can keep the fighting format, but they should have work on the chars more than this. I give BlazBlue a 6.5 (for combo appeal...)

Its not design stolen, just copied off of. Theres a difference. The game has great combos and graphics, but playing it reminds me of GG too much. Dont get me wrong, I like the gameplay, but the characters shouldnt have been a semi-mimic of the GG ones.

I agree that some of the characters look like the GG characters, the only ones that don't would be Ragna, Rachel, Litchi, Taokaka, Carl, Bang, Hakumen(to an extent), and Nu.

So, 8 of em dont? It doesnt matter. Any gamer (GG gamer for that matter) will see the resemblance of the two. So, if 8 of em arent, why couldnt they just create more UNLIKE GG then? If they wouldve, the game would be more popular, because of its OWN originality. And it isnt just about the characters, its the combo format, announcer, etc. Ive seen cats bad-ass playing this game, and I am impressed, but think of me as a game critic for GameMonthly or some other gaming news source.

In fact, there are four characters with equal or lower health than Arakune (Tao, Ragna, Nu and Carl). This doesn't mean they can't be offensive (in fact, at least Tao and Ragna won't win if they play defensive too much).

You realize that the reason hes arguably the best character in the game is because its incredibly easy to curse people, and once you do you can pretty much pressure string until their guard breaks, at which point you can do absurdly strong combos meterlessly. Honestly hes the only character I feel really needs a nerf. He may not have much health but hes too hard to catch and he can start his god like offense without having to put himself in remote danger on most characters.

I really don't know, I mean Arakune is really bad, but Nu can be just as terrible, a few of her match ups are so lopsided. Plus Rachel and Nu are higher than Arakune on the tier list after all.

Well thats true, but you also have to account for the fact that of the 3, arakune definately has more odd factors at play that little discoveries could really cause major changes in. I'm a bang player and I've seen an arakune player do a loop on my with 0 tension that cost me about 65 percent health and bang has the most health in the game next to tager. So I think his position in the tier list is purely due to undiscovered abilities, although he is bangs worst match up, so it could be me.

Simple, yes he does have issues with Nu, however she is one of the very few characters that have a competant way around him. As for how hes better. All he has to do is land a curse, which is ridiculously effortless, and he can easily chomp off 60 percent off bang without even using heat. Or he can just pressure you till your guard breaks or you go into danger. The problem with him comes in the fact that its incredibly easy to get somebody stuck in the core of his pressure.

Once they are in that core, he can easily recurse them all while doing his absurd amounts of damage. Nu usually has to RC to do decent damage. Also with her at least there is some sort of mind game so you can get in on her and fight back. With him its just " Try dodging my self curse while I teleport in circles around you. His melee is also absurdly strong and he can easily slip out of any pressure with his dashes. The guy seriously takes very little skill for how good he is.

ridiculously effortless? do you know how to block? the curse isnt easy to get a good player with, there arent any high attacks or low attacks with the curse and the best curse moves can be punished before they can be executed, if anything getting someone in the curse and keeping them there is a pain in the ass, especially since curse combos are the hardest thing to do on this game

This game is not overhyped, it has the same treatment as it's predecessor, Guilty Gear, and everybody knows how GG played out: great. Saying it's "reskinned" is just because of looking at the game. Though alot of people say that, they never say how, so it's an empty statement.

That Litchi was pretty good, but as someone who considers himself only one step above a total scrub with Arakune, I have to say that was a really poor example of how to play him. Nothing against the player, but he barely used his clouds, never jumped into a combo from hits that can lead into them, used his distortion drive miles away from the opponent, didn't stay in the air, etc.
ArcadeInfinity's Ranbat had a damn awesome Arakune, if you want to see how deadly this character is, watch that.
