This video says to me: Tsem Tulku is so much better than everyone else because he has “FULL CONTROL” over his body. This video does not help. It only serves to alienate and make others who do not have “FULL CONTROL” over their bodies feels worse. People with conditions such as anorexia and bulimia need compassion and understanding, not to be made to feel inadequate.

@Jajean16 Well His Eminence Tsem Rinpoche has been recognized 17 times which shows he has come back/returned with control.

The video is not a put down to people who can't control themselves. For me I see it as a way to inspire others to HAVE CONTROL in one's lives and mind. I also do not have full control I work towards it.

I mean Buddha Shakyamuni was a perfectly enlightened Buddha yet he still can be criticized, I mean anyone can be criticized it you choose to take a particular point of view.

@wanwaimeng Thrice, the Buddha indicated to Ven. Ananda that his life could be extended if requested (according to the sutras, Ven. Ananda’s mind was affected by Mara and he did not understand what the Buddha was saying and thus failed to make the request). If you accept this as true, you will also accept that Tsem Tulku does NOT have FULL CONROL over his body. He may be able to have greater influence over it (including the ability to effect his rebirth) but he does not have FULL CONTROL.

@stuindhamma U may be right, if Ananda had made the request Buddha's body might have turned into a goo of mess at the end of one aeon. Having said that, the control that Rinpoche has is far greater than what most people will have when they close their eyes. So if you argue about 100% full control, I concede. Do beings like this have have great control over their bodies and rebirth , a definite YES.

@wanwaimeng No human has FULL CONROL over their body. Not even Buddha Sakyamuni had the ability to avoid old age, illness and ‘death’. The Buddha suffered headaches, joint pain and back aches throughout his life.

Q: “How would you live if you had this kind of look?” A: “No different. I am not hung up on looks.” This is shallow and sycophantic, using an empty thing like appearance to impress upon others the power and talent of a teacher. People are more sophisticated than that. I have heard some of Rinpoche’s teachings. I know he is a good teacher. I don’t need a video like this to convince me. Rinpoche: you don’t need stuff like this posted about you. I cringed when I watched it. I was embarrassed.

@tsemtulku The message only works if everyone sees exactly the same thing: a gorgeous, attractive model. But not everyone perceives beauty in the same way. What if there are others see an unattractive man? People will scratch their head and think, ‘’What are they talking about? This man is not attractive. He is just a lump of flesh and blood, just like the rest of us!’’
