  • She's so pretty... I love her so much

  • She cries at the end for the same reason she's singing this song. She thinks the guy she loves played by Fred Astaire is still in love with his former girlfriend. The song's amazing and so is she. The movie's quite good but Judy was not in great physical and emotional shape. After making "The Pirate" when she got so thin and went back to taking pills she started on more of a downward spiral. She was only in her 20's but looked older. But she's always beautiful and brilliant.

  • Why was she crying at the end of the song

  • she looks older here

  • I love Judy!

  • You can almost hear the suppressed scream.

  • I love that her voice was more than just pretty--it was strong!

  • This number shows how versatile Judy Garland was. Her melodious voice was second to none, which is still quite obvious to every one.

  • During her MGM yrs Judy was letter perfect when she lip synced to her playbacks of the songs she had to sing. Pure talent

  • "I've made my mind up, but I can't make up my heart." Oh, wow.

  • @mitchelltrio Exactly - every time I hear this song, I'm moved by those words in particular, often to tears. (It was one of my dad's favorite songs.) "I can't make up my heart". Irving Berlin = genius.

  • Perhaps Bing Crosby said it best: "At her best, there was nothing that little girl couldn't do...except take proper care of herself."

THIS is Judy at her best, of which there is no better.
