  • me mum's friend from school and a wonderful lady...I miss her so much...

  • absolute legend

  • So much SOUL!

  • Truly one of the greatest female singers Britain ever had. She earned more credit then she was given during life.

  • Pure talent - no lasers or smoke machines needed

  • Greatness-beauty-love and such warmth for the heart.

  • I don't like the way she sings it here. But I do love this song!! That guy at the end is being ridiculous though

  • This was one of my mother's favorite songs!! I love it too. It still brings tears to my eyes after all these years. Dusty Springfield is the only one who has ever done this song justice!! She is a was a great talent!!

  • Dusty was a shining example of excellence, teriffic song, tremendous performance. I will always love you Dusty.

  • one of the best!!! <3

  • I like her arms movements

  • simply put, the best.

  • it's fucked up, when people can't respect bounderies. she was being friendly, and the moron in the crowd, did not know, when was when. it had to be broken up. some people, are just stalker retards. dusty was a goddess,i miss her so much.

  • Thank you dear Dusty, for sharing your heart and soul with us....

  • Ditto, ditto, ditto, ditto! Incredible on all counts. Too bad she's gone - her and many other real singers. Thanks so much for posting.

  • geweldig, really very very beautifull, both song and woman

  • Doesn't get much better than that. That "Statue of Liberty Nose" is absolutely wonderful.

  • That's pretty fantastic!

  • Is this an italian song?

  • GREAT VOICE ,BUT THE SONG REMINDS ME OF THE KING "ELVIS". I DON'T KNOW WHO THE ORIGINAL SINGER OF THIS SONG WAS ,BUT A GREAT SONG!

  • @auroralight40 The original Singer and creator of this song was , DUSTY SPRINGFIELD,..her manager Vicky Wichkam was in part the Writer, but Dusty herself created this song , after she fell in love w/ it in Italian, she wanted to do it in English, though it was quite a challenge for her and Vicky to translate it to English, it prooved to make Dusty an international star. Elvis would later sing as well! As did other singers.

  • @auroralight40 - Original singer is the great Pino Donaggio (ITALIANO) who composed

    the MUSIC in the meantime.

  • this is a real singer, no lip sinc no miming just her and the orchestra brilliant R I P dusty, u were the best ever

  • What a voice.

  • thank you for the time in philadelphia..your friend frank fioravanti

  • I red once, Music is a bridge that connects you from Heaven to Earth. And after listen this song it Totally make sense to me :)

60-70s great on music!! although I was born in the 80s I love that decade tunes.

  • i have a feeling he said something inappropriate in her ear there at the end... if that was his wife next to him, im surprised he was still standing...

  • This song just doesn't get old. Great talent.

  • It does sound like it's in the wrong key and she was unable to do it justice! I wonder why she didn't just change the key to one that was friendlier to her voice??

  • Apparently Dusty always ended her shows with that song because it was in the wrong key and killed her voice She was the greatest British female singer EVER and on a par with Aretha

  • Cant Help But Always LOVE YOU DUSTY!!! So missed!!

  • I WONDER WHY WHITE PEPLE NOT BE THE QUEEN OF SOUL HER BIGGER THAN ARETHA

  • What is there to say? Chokes me up.

  • Sheer class.

    RIP Dusty.

    We miss you

  • Not hard to figure out from watching and listening to this performance exactly why she was an international superstar.

  • Soulful performance of "You Don't Have To Say You Love Me" is a timeless anthem by the greatest singer of her generation and beyond...nobody could get inside a song quite like Dusty Springfield and seeing her in concert in the eighties was a memorable and awesome experience and she was wearing electric blue singing this classic...thanks for the memories Dusty and decades of sublime music...Bravo get lady, you are loved and missed...

  • Great vocalist 4 ever - I love you Dusty

  • Dusty had what most of today's performers don't have, talent!

  • unbelievable voice

  • At 3:00 she was nearly pulled off from the stage by over-excited fans. I think she was a bit scared.

  • incomprable

  • Always Powerful. Always the Best.

    Always Wonderful. Always Loved.

  • to you at 2.57... creep

  • Dusty ,,,,, you were the best female singer EVER ,,, my big sis had all your records,,,,,,, , listened to them since i was 5 years old ,,,,, luv ya xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • AWESOME, thank's for posting this.

  • She was the greatest female soul singer to ever come out of England. The only negative to this wonderful performance, is the jerk who grabbed her at the end of the stage, and wouldn't let her go. She is missed by all who loved her music.

  • @tank3ful ...absolutely and fer sure. I would say there are only a couple of black female singers that cut her globally. Her voice is distinct and strange (in a good way) and for some reason it translated to amazing effect on record. Years ago I bought a 3-disc compilation and it was amazing. A lot of the tracks were covers and she just cuts way beneath the surface of those songs. There is something about her singing that is haunting, ghostly and yet enormously emotional.

  • Dusty Springfield was always in her prime!

  • Man her voice gives me chills. It carries me back to the 60s and 70s.

  • @cunnidvd

You are so right! Her amazing vocals take me back to the 60's. I was no doubt her biggest Black fan...

  • @cunnidvd God bless her soul. she is up in Heaven singing to her fans

  • Notice she checked her hand to make sure her ring was still there; after she greeted the fans.

  • watch?v=DnKoZq4iVtY

  • Dusty had that rare quality, she had her very own signature vocals that made the listener instantly realize, "Hey! That's Dusty Springfield singing her heart out!" So glad the Pet Shop Boys gave a new generation a chance to hear this classic singer. Looks like she was having a little trouble during this video. God Bless Dusty Springfield. I remember her & "The Springfields" singing "Silver Threads and Golden Needles"...so long ago.

  • Delightful / strong performance

  • I've always loved this song, and I liked Dusty very much when she was in her prime.

  • has there ever been any better ?

  • i knew that and what i was saying when i said [ guys] , i was talking to guys and girls and i was talking about hre talent , she was a great singer , and she is greatly missed he was really something

  • i knew that and what i was saying when i said [ guys] , i was talking to guys and girls and i was talking about hre talent , she was a great singer , and she is greatly missed

  • Original pino donaggio

  • they dont make them like they used too.

  • Without a doubt, one of the most beautiful voices from the British Invasion. And she was purty, too!

  • maravilloso el video de DUSTY SPRINGFIELD UNA GRAN VOZ

    FOREVER DUSTY.

  • maravilloso el video de DUSTY SPRINGFIELD

  • this is dusty ?? she was / is am amazing woman .. love her coz she is brilliant massive voice

  • All that's left is loneliness, unfortunately this was true for Dusty sometimes. A huge talent who brought joy to the music world- thanks for enriching our lives Dusty! You merited every moment of triumph.

  • this woman was really something dont you think guys we miss you Dusty

  • @junieclay Apparently, you are not aware that Dusty was oriented to same sex relationships.................the "guys" to which you refer wouldn't stand a chance with her! She was a lady's woman!

  • @kurtsupreme i didnt know that , , she was a great talent , i love her

  • @junieclay Yes, she was very special!

  • I'd also like to ad that I heard this first when Elvis sang it and I thought he sang, "You don't have to say you love me, just resmoke the ham."

I, myself, was smoked and resmoked at the time.

  • @Porkcfish LOLS @ your Elvis comment!! :-D

  • I love Dusty Springfield. I am pro-Dusty Springfield. I believe in the product, I use the product. But a pantsuit with an Empire waistline? Good gravy. I don't think she let the gay man dress her that night.

I wish she were still alive. I think artists like the Propellerheads or Groove Armada would make some great dance hits with her voice. The Pet Shop Boys hinted at the possibilities.

  • @Porkcfish agree entirely with what you say about the empire line and pant suits, just doesn't work, but gorgeous woman don't you think? very rare footage of how she actually looked.

  • This was the song I fell in love with when i was 17 in 1967. I sang it for my school talentime. I also fell in love with the singer. It touches me now, to see her, to listen her sing this song. Dusty..your'e still the best! (I'm Malay btw, from Malaysia).

  • God she's beautiful...

  • @TheGmgirl77 Yes, Yes, Yes!

  • Thank you Ms. Dusty! RIP. Just know that you were much appreciated and loved!!

  • I am not ashamed to admit I watched dusty Springfield sing this on TV in the 1960's. I think it was a Royal Variety Performance and Mum kept me up to keep her company because she was on her own.

  • Dusty was AWESOME!!!!!!

  • This song reminds me of Autumn Leaves (verses do anyway) ... so beautiful and worth having on the iPod :)

  • Dusty Springfield died of breast cancer in 1999

  • Can somone tell me what Dusty died of! I read that a dear friend of her cared for her her until the end.

I have all her records. Her arm movements, flowing body is incredable!!

    God I miss her......thank heavens 4 Utube.!!

  • A wonderful video of a different time and a different place. It's good to go back in time to relive these nostalgic moments. I enjoyed seeing the affections her fans showered on Dusty and how she appreciated it.

  • Great voice, great performance.

Kind of bittersweet because she represented a time that is gone and won't be back.

  • This is one of em songs that will never fade...

  • This is my past remembered. What a talent. This song wasmy blossoming adolecence. Along with all of the great 60's performers. They just don't create classics like this inn the noughties

  • a goddess !!!

  • when was thiss?? :)

  • @lilloz2k8 1979

  • @farttart00000 thanks :) xo

  • awww

  • That was not the greatest recording of that song that Dusty made. When she was younger and in better health she acheived much more.

  • Dusty was my all time favourite along with Roy Orbison and Jonny Cash, Absolutely top class performers who felt every word they sang.

  • she is obviously winded by this time near the end of the show....but she still belts it out anyway for her fans....dont know if I could call it flat....just out of breath!! still a treasure no matter what...I wldnt change a thing about you dusty.....love you

  • @gaydar456 If it's obvious why would you mention it? If you don't know if you'd call her singing flat, why not keep it to yourself. No one is interested.

  • This song has a wonderful story behind it, Dusty first heard it in Italian, and just HAD TO HAVE IT Vicki Wickham her manager threw the lyrics together quickly, as she had a tight schedule, now keep in mind you cannot do a straight translation from another language.

Vicki didnt think it would fly, but not only did Dusty do well with it, it took her to an international audiance. Check it out in Italian, Dusty did sing in other Languages

  • @Vstar4me I know this song in Italian. The English version is sooooo much better.

  • @Eamonn20a I would love to hear it in Italian, to try and see what struck Dusty originally.

  • @Vstar4me Put in , Pino Donaggio," Io che non vivo, senza te"

  • Her songs will live forever

  • i love the song

  • Ich werde sie nie vergessen.... sie war einfach und einzigartig!

  • i wish i could be there

  • Dusty was amazing artist. God bless Dusty!

  • Wonderful

  • absolutely first rate. Nothing to compare it with. Saw Dusty on Liverpool Empire in 1958 when she was part of the Springfields. Loved her ever since.

  • @mogsydono ... You are very fortunate to have seen her in person! This is one of my all-time favorite songs.

  • @FrankWms I was fortunate to see Dusty and other stars such at Frankie Laine, Billy Daniels, Shirley Bassey. Good memories of them all.
