  • Love this fucking dunk. Even the fucking looks too perfect in all it's vintage glory. Become Legendary.

  • that's gotta be the rarest dunk to do during a game

  • so much style and art

  • best dunk. ever.

  • I know this ain't travel but if it would've been Lebron who dunked, every single stupid youtuber would come to say "Lebron travelled". This shit is just really stupid. Fuck haters

  • its no travel he only took 3 steps

  • no one else does this dunk.

  • The one against the Bucks is even better :)

  • he took like 5 steps

  • He looks like the jumpman logo when he spreads.

  • @FanOfTheDoraemons lol, maybe that's why the jumpman brand belongs to Jordan?

  • its not travel, and who cares for fuck sake, stop bitching about travels on NBA videos and enjoy the fuckin dunk.

  • i love how he left the dude hanging..hahaha

  • The ref wanted an alley hoop.

  • Travel -__-

  • @Kdizzle2407 stfu lets see u do better.

  • Dr. J's cradle dunk over Michael Cooper is better imo

  • @shamizy dr j was hard but jordan had a lil mo style wit his

  • can someone explain how this is not a travel? he dribbles the ball then takes 3 STEPS...

  • @321ian The first step doesn't count until after the ball is in his Control. You are counting the step just before he controls the ball.

  • dnt hate

  • What travel? Catch, 2 steps, dunk. Its crazy that no one has tried this dunk in a college/pro game since MJ

  • wow he did travel this is Jordan not James What the HELL IS GOING ON

  • @freshman5000 no travel dude

  • that is replayed every year in the NBA. it is the most iconic dunk in NBA history.

  • The G.O.A.T.

  • Nice travel by jordan,he really is air jordan lol

  • @sodstalker how is tht a travel git glasses dude

  • @darkkent3000 he takes 3 steps and no travel? watch carefully pls

  • @sodstalker The step where he gathers the ball is not a step. Not a travel.

  • It's amazing how Jordan can get pops that loud in opposing stadiums.

  • Comment removed

  • damn.. the opposing crowd went wild!

  • best dunk ever i wish i could do it n nba jam 2010 but those motherfucker didnt put mj

  • best dunk ever

  • was that a rejected high five.... LOL

  • daaamn, gravity really does not work with this guy

  • LeBron travelled.

  • @jigovani this joke never gets old, it just gets classic! lol

  • @jigovani He traveled to miami..

  • he learned that from julius erving

  • you know a player is a legend when the opposing team's fans are cheering for you in their home

  • This is not 3 steps anyhow.

Catches ball at exactly the same time as he steps. THEN you are allowed 2 step, morons.

Freeze it when he catches - if you are counting THAT step then stop discussing basketball anywhere because you know nothing about the rules morons - that step is NOT a first step.

And in other dunks where he travels - good for him - he deserves it for being so fast to get unnoticed.

    Fuck you MJ complainers.

  • It's impossible for the refs to ever time whether or not the ball is in hands before he starts his first of THREE steps because he is TOO FAST.

Big hands are an advantage over others, and so is speed to get away with that travel and many others.

Too bad if you want to hate it - but that's life. MJ deserves to get away with travels if he's too fast to be noticed.

How many MJ uploads do you find IDIOTS saying travel for this and that - TOO FKIN BAD! He psyched out his opponents and refs!!

  • its not a travel make sure you pause right when he finishes his last dribble then watch his steps its hard to see the dribble

  • No travel.... Pause and start it youll see itthen.... Even if u think he did its stilll soooo cool for a live game to do that

  • this was not his first cradle dunk, the first time was at North Carolina

  • if you see the tongue come out... prepare for something fantastic

  • It ain't travel, Michael Jordan really takes a big steps in that run :3

  • Comment removed

  • he only rocks it once in the 2003 dunk contest kenny smith says mj rocks his twice when desmond mason does it but its niice i mean its air jordaan

  • that was such a travel

  • @Elorm1000 ur a retard shut the hell up

  • @iownallpants no disrespect to mj but i know a travel when i see one so maybe u should stop being a jordan groupie and face the fact that its a travel u jungle bunny coon

  • @Elorm1000 if this is a travel i am barack obama

  • @Elorm1000 no disrescpect to you but your a dumbass for not knowing a travel. rule is 3 steps then foul'd for travel. so bend over and take one you idiot.

  • @iownallpants i wouldn't expect some one like u to understand the rules of basketball which state 'traveling is a violation of the rules that occurs when a player holding the ball illegally moves one or both of his feet' both of his feet which he clearly did so maybe instead of coming at my neck about something u know nothing about u should get ur eyes check because its clear u have some sight problems

  • @Elorm1000 @Elorm1000 How about going to legit sources to get your information instead of shitty sources like Wikipedia. How about looking in the official rule book. Official NBA rule: "A player who receives the ball while he is progressing or upon completion of a dribble, may use a two-count rhythm in coming to a stop, passing or shooting the ball." Subtext is included to clarify the "two-count rhythm." See section XIV part B. Read up and learn something.

  • This isn't traveling, this is allowed, and it's just the same way lbj does his dunks so i don't get the comments on that. Great dunk btw, awesome extension

  • I can watch this dunk all day. Simply poetry in motion.

  • I count 3 steps, but great dunk nevertheless

  • one person dislikes and can do one of the most famous dunks in nba history

  • From the time Mike bounces the ball on the ground until it comes up to his hand it's not a walk, but once the ball comes back up to his hand he can only take two steps, Mike took 3.....Hit the pause button on the time the ball returns to his hand and then how many steps he takes after that, pause it after each step, you will see he takes 3 long strides. However everybody walks when they run to the basket it's almost impossible to dunk from the free throw line or inside of it with out taking 3

  • @vincespell He bounces the ball, takes one step, elevates on the next. Thats 2 steps. Lrn2count.

  • For me personally THIS is the most iconic dunk in NBA history.

  • @megatroll You have a valid point Mega but being the Jordan fan that I am I have to give it second to DJ's craddle dunk on Michael Cooper, simply because he had a man on him at the time of the dunk!

  • @vincespell gotta consider tht 1 vince tru dat

  • @megatroll I feel ya on tht,best i ever seen

  • I think he did travel after watching it so many times. But he's so great it took me 100 times to even see if he did, imagine bein the refs or anybody else watching live. Nobody is paying attention to that. Jordan can take 6 steps, but when you know he's about to take off, all that is out the window and you just can't wait to see him rise

  • why does every video have a bunch of retards arguing over something stupid? who gives a shit if this was a travel?

  • There are a lot of LeBron haters out there, so I'm not surprised if people count his steps before his dunks. But DON'T you EVER criticize Michael Jordan in any matter.

  • he picks up the ball at 0:18 and takes about 3-4 steps

  • @tonychoitellem please watch it carefully....only two steps...

  • @tonychoitellem I think the problem is that people think that dribbling counts as a motion, not as when it bounces on the floor... when he took the first few steps he was still "dribbling" when the ball is bouncing up from the floor into his hands, and then he catches it with his hand and takes 2 steps before he dunks it.

  • damn, the crowd loves him...at MSG, LOL

  • its no travel he was walking in the air =P

  • OMG Awesome quality!!

  • count the steps after he picks up the ball you dumb ass cunts that thought it was a travel

  • @gobicheese it doesnt matter, a travel in the nba was 5+ steps back then and its 5+ steps now, just enjoy the clip and stop hatin

  • couldnt get any better than that

  • Dr.J did this aswell,

hey before Jordan their was Dr.J.

  • @prodiggy13 Before the Jordan free-throw dunk,

There was the Dr. J free-throw dunk

  • there is only one reason for people who think this is traveling... he doesnt run he FLOATS AND THE FLIES

  • he did this in college as well

  • He took off far!!!!

  • People who think that is a travel ARE NOT BASKETBALL ENTHUSIASTS!!

  • Vince Carter said that he can't do that dunk.

  • wtf that wasent travel it was 2 steps! DUMBASS how do u feel?

  • was that in 1987

  • no one can throw down like that

  • one name comes 2 mind when someone says julius the doctor erving

  • Best in game dunk ever.

  • that dunk must be really hard to do, i never see anyone nowaday trying to do that

  • OK i will

  • please watch my michael jordan video

  • Question of the day :

Why can one man be so great?

  • Answer of the day:

    No one knows !!!!

    The legendary number 23 ...!

  • they're cheering for him in the Madison Square Garden, lol.

  • Don't worry about people calling it a travel. They count steps even when the ball isn't in Jordan's hands.

  • lol im 5.7" nd i can only touch net lol...im always tryin to do that but as a layup

  • @mrosario995 man u suck scrub stfu.. u cant do shit at 5'7

  • fuck u motherfucker thts some dumb ass shit u said i said as a layup it doesnt mean tht i dunked u fucking asshole

  • @mrosario995 MIDGET STFU

  • how fucking old r u midgets r like 4 foot 6 u need u need to STFU and stop fucking bitching just cuz all ur friends think u suck at ball...ur a dick and a hater

  • nice spelling mister STA STA STA ST!!! T T T TODAY JR..!!! LOL FUCKING midget Grammar fail!!

  • @MoparDRVR

    haha t t t today jr!!!

    d d d did i studder!??

  • michael jordan is the best! also these are really good graphics

  • in my opinion, this is THE BEST non dunk contest dunk ever completed. the creativity and the showmanship of JORDAN's cradle simply cannot be matched. i love it.

  • The best one was the two hand cradle against the Bucks in his second NBA game in 1984

  • can you find the video to it? I wanna see

  • no travel its 2 steps

and he look like Dr.J doin it

  • What is so cool Jordan sets up the cradle dunk while in the air while Dr.J set it up in the ground.

  • that's not a travel you moron!

  • not a travel is only two steps

  • youA're allowed to push the ball ahead when your running, but after you pick the ball up, then you only get two steps

  • that was obviusly two steps and anybody who thinks thats a travel needs to go to an eye docter, can't count, or is just to amazed to believe it.

  • I have not heard an MSG crowd blow-up like that for a visiting player since. Not for 'Bron, Kobe or anyone else...

  • Who cares if it was a travel. Just search Steve Francis alley-oop in Detroit, he took 5 steps. J-Rich took 4 steps on his 360 in Miami, LeBron took 5 on his windmill against the Celtics. Who cares, I love the highlights.

  • he only took 2 steps. have any of gotten pass 1st grade math

  • anyone who calls this a travel is stupid and apparently cant count...

  • @gerald5green just pause it and count... his last dribble barely touches the ground as his right foot comes down. so even if u give him the benefit of the doubt(because he's M.J.) his first step is his left, takes a right step and finishes off on his left! if u know ur math that's 3! clearly a travel by today's regulations but back then many people got away with that.

he almost single-handedly made basketball popular again when he was doing stuff like that so i won't hold it against him.

  • @gerald5green he travelled!!! in the AIR!!!

  • @gerald5green They were couting the steps he took walking on air.

  • ppl dont understand that the refs let the best players travel everygame so they can make the best plays and the owners can make money

  • it has the illusion that he takes 3 steps because he doesnt accually pick up the ball to dunk until he takes his first step after the dribble

  • it is not a travel by any means. When he picks up his dribble, he does two steps and elevates. watch again the last replay.

  • that's only a two steps learn how to count!

  • my favorite dunk

  • Kick ass, really like that dunk, the movement, the motion... probably my favorite.

  • The ball is still coming off the dribble towards MJ's right side during MJ's 3rd last step that he takes (this is the 2nd last step he takes with his left foot). Remember he was running along using long stride lengths down the court. When he picks up his dribble (aka cradles it in this case on his right side), he takes two last steps - first with his right foot, then with his left foot, and then takes off into the MSG stratosphere.

  • It wasn't really a travel because when he dribbled it with his left hand the ball wasn't in his right till he took his last 2 steps.

  • lil bit of a carry the dunk was still serious

  • he did take three...

but you know that doesnt matter...

    ALL HAIL TO KING JORDAN.

  • I wonder how Jim Durham and Red Kerr called this...

  • traveled? are you high?

  • Do Knicks fans boo the competition? Especially when a superstar like MJ was in the building. Earlier this year they were cheering for LeBron. I thought that was odd.

  • thats because Lebron most likely will be playing for them in two years

  • No, he wasn't, he was one inch taller than MJ

  • GOAT

  • Gotta love the last line from the commentators "I think the crowd says it all Jim"

  • That's just an awesome dunk. The Knicks should never have allowed that on their home court.

  • He didn't carry. If he would have taken another step, then he would have carried.

  • don't you mean walked? LOL

  • this wasnt the first rock the cradle. the first was in college against len bias and maryland at the buzzer

  • if it was a travel or not they wouldnt make a call like that on a legend like michael, like they would on sum wite dude noones herd of... o and this isn't his first time doing the cradle dunk, he also did it when he played for North Carolina

  • wow...great quality in this vid

  • that wasnt a travel ur all blind

  • awesome

  • MJ is/was the best!Anyone who says different is sick in the head.

  • they aint going to call that shit anyway if it was travel and there is no one around him near 15 feet.

  • yeah he traveled, but when ur a badass, no one pays attention to how many steps u take when they know you're going to give them an awesome dunk to watch.

  • No he didnt, the moment he had complete control of the ball he only took 2 steps, the counting only starts when u have complete control of it

  • pretty sure that complete control thing only applies to when you are carrying out your dribble... because you dont have to dribble once for every step.. but once the intent is clearly there to do a layup and dunk the next two steps after bounce are the only ones you can take...

  • hey thing before you wrote something stupid!!!

  • It wasn't a travel.. just like what he said he didn't have the ball in his hands when he took the step.. But it was pretty close..

  • you're on drugs!

  • you could have given credit to hoodie.....

  • simply nasty
