There is a fairly new law that states a child of 12 can petition the courts to go home, even if parental rights have been taken away. I actually testified in the house and senate to get this bill passed. They do terrible things to our children in foster care. Contact Washington Families United if you are in Washington and if not, see if they know of similar groups.

The night CPS and ATL Sex Crimes Unit were to pick him up from our home...they never showed. I got a severe beating out of it, so I stayed silent until I could escape from him 3 years later!

I'm so SORRY to hear your tragic story. CPS also took my 8 months old ONLY baby from hospital. My baby fell down from bed and he had couple rib fractures. "if we don't stand up and protect our children......". I'm sorry, but obvioulsy you didn't protect your children from something. I don't know what that was, neglect maybe? I don't know. But I do know that if parents did their job properly, no drinking, drug, parties etc. then CPS would never be involved in the first place. Clean homes, clean children, well taken cared of do not catch the eye of social workers. most people who have had thier kids taken cover up the truth and play the victim.
You must also realize that many children are kidnapped by CPS without justification. The Federal government gives $85K to CPS for EACH child they kidnap, so you can see the huge incentive for CPS to steal children for the flimsiest of excuses, verified or not. Besides, CPS smacks of a Soviet styled government, not of a free society.
One thing you can do as far as legal proceedings go: Look up the case law and see which lawyers are successful against CPS. Go to your library and ask librarian for help - in case she is pro-CPS don't tell her why, unless she seems sympathetic. DON'T ever hire a lawyer CPS refers you to. Demand that all communication between your lawyer and CPS's lawyers be IN WRITING ONLY. Do not let the lawyers make phone callsw without you present, and do not let them make deals behind your back!

i hope you did well at court. My court went ok. They couldnt get another temperarly care order which was good but I have to prove to everyone that I am not stupid & am able to learn
so did they return them under a supervision order or are they going to make you 'prove' you can take care of your kids first?
my court date was just so they could set another date for november. so we're working hard to get them home then, the kids can't spend christmas in 'care'. considering the stupid reason they took them in the first place.
They wanted another 6 month temperarly care order but did not get it. So court is postponed till Nov 20 for a pretrial. & i have to do a cognitive assesment so I have to wait & see. I have to prove that I am not stupid.
Who made the original call to CPS about you? It is incomprehensible to me that there is still no legal recourse against individuals who make false claims.
I know exactly how you feel. Our children were taken the day after my son's birthday as well. We see our children twice a month. Court ordered by the judge. Before it was court ordered we saw our children twice in 4 mths. My mom tried to get custody but she's out of state and DSS told my son it would take years to get it to go through. I have abtained a new lawyer as well. All 5 of my children were taken by DSS. Keep fighting!

CPS accused us for this injury and they took our baby to foster care for 3 weeks. During bone x-rays in last week, a Dr. suspected that our baby might have brittle bone disease & it was proven the day after
CPS returned our baby on the same day to us. They made false allegation against us. We've court hearing in coming month.

Way to go young lady.I will pray for you.You should have them back.Fight on!When I was a foster kid the case worker tried to make me lie & say my step father raped me. I'm not saying that will happen in your case, but don't be surprised at anything.They can sure make a kid feel like nothing.Please tell them over & over again,"You mean every thing to me, I love you with all my heart."It will help them with what ever their going thru in the foster homes.I can remember laying in bed thinking of mom

I cried watching this. I had my 3 kids taken from me.. in July of 2006. From CHildren and youth in Pa. nothing ever founded against me.. despite lies from my ex wife. this county is corrupt two family judges were just arrested for selling kids it has been on national news. Horrible . I was an activist against crime maybe they got scared and.. well now my kids are gone.. two girls and a boy 3 years of crying all i have is their pictures on my walls..

I know exactly what you are going through, I am fighting for my three children and have been for two years. It is so heartbreaking to have to go this, this system doesn't know what these children go through or why we fight as hard as we do. Next time you visit, take a gun with you and GET THEM BACK. It's the only way. No amount of reasonableness or co-operation will EVER satisfy them. The system is specifically designed to wear you down, so that eventually you just give up. The very first chance you get, grab those kids and RUN LIKE HELL. YOU CAN'T WIN!!!

"if we don't stand up and protect our children......". I'm sorry, but obvioulsy you didn't protect your children from something. I don't know what that was, neglect maybe? I don't know. But I do know that if parents did their job properly, no drinking, drug, parties etc. then CPS would never be involved in the first place. Clean homes, clean children, well taken cared of do not catch the eye of social workers. most people who have had thier kids taken cover up the truth and play the victim.

You must also realize that many children are kidnapped by CPS without justification. The Federal government gives $85K to CPS for EACH child they kidnap, so you can see the huge incentive for CPS to steal children for the flimsiest of excuses, verified or not. Besides, CPS smacks of a Soviet styled government, not of a free society.

One thing you can do as far as legal proceedings go: Look up the case law and see which lawyers are successful against CPS. Go to your library and ask librarian for help - in case she is pro-CPS don't tell her why, unless she seems sympathetic. DON'T ever hire a lawyer CPS refers you to. Demand that all communication between your lawyer and CPS's lawyers be IN WRITING ONLY. Do not let the lawyers make phone callsw without you present, and do not let them make deals behind your back!

i hope you did well at court. My court went ok. They couldnt get another temperarly care order which was good but I have to prove to everyone that I am not stupid & am able to learn

so did they return them under a supervision order or are they going to make you 'prove' you can take care of your kids first?
my court date was just so they could set another date for november. so we're working hard to get them home then, the kids can't spend christmas in 'care'. considering the stupid reason they took them in the first place.

They wanted another 6 month temperarly care order but did not get it. So court is postponed till Nov 20 for a pretrial. & i have to do a cognitive assesment so I have to wait & see. I have to prove that I am not stupid.

I know exactly how you feel. Our children were taken the day after my son's birthday as well. We see our children twice a month. Court ordered by the judge. Before it was court ordered we saw our children twice in 4 mths. My mom tried to get custody but she's out of state and DSS told my son it would take years to get it to go through. I have abtained a new lawyer as well. All 5 of my children were taken by DSS. Keep fighting!

i had cps attack my family in sept and they took my kids from me in feb an i'm in the middle of the fight with them right now to get my kids in with a family member or to get them in my care so i know how u feel it hurts us but what cps cant under stand is that it infects the kids more then the parents!
