@DingDongSuckers You obviously need a filter, and you can actually see the filter mounted on the telescope at 0:22. I once tried to point my telescope at the Sun w/o filter - I have a much more modest reflector - and the ebony of which the eyepiece was made melted in about one second. I can only imagine the heat it generated - I pointed it away and took the piece out, and it simply bubbled and smoked. Think looking into that - you'd probably lose your eye instantly...

hey this is only a toy!!!!!, 14 inches, you could buy a really big, dobsonian,for that price,,, like a 20 " or a 22" now thats a telescope to see with, or a few extra euro and you could get a 24" or a 28" , and wow ,
how do people get so much damn money!!! isn't this like a $9,000 scope plus whatever the dome cost!!! makes me so damn sick when I have to scrap and save and live paycheck to paycheck!!!
