How about for weapons, in a knights barracks, food in the kitchin of the castle, tools and gear in the blacksmiths house, wood in the woodcutters home, and misc in like a delivery room inside the castle?

@tehlance Cool...I came up with it in like 3 seconds once you said that it has to fit the ancient style type o thing. I honestly didn't think it's that good but I guess you could decorate it with brick walls and stuff

An underwater glass dome Oooooo older :) -

An under ground (10 blocks deeep to make it easy 2 get 2) storage room out of clean stone and coble stone(Random mixture) whit lava on the sides -

A big building whit a water block on top (giant fountain) whit the water hideing the door (Secret piston door if you have slime balls and redstone)
