I volunteered to fundraise for Amnesty International at the gig, and because he was annoucning Aung San Suu Kyi as Amnesty's Ambassador of Consience for 2009, and doing that he wanted the Amnesty Volunteers onstage with him!

Personally, I thought the end of the song lacked the usual passion without the "hallelujah" chorus's. Compared to Slane's version, I didn't think it was as powerful.

i was at the gig, but i remember back in 2005 during the vertigo tour, they done the exact same thing,along with building up to streets have no name,surely they'd have tought of a new different way to get the message accross
