  • Nice aquarium!

  • Thank you. Yes, this is the Hyphessobrycon eques.

One of the things they get they're red colour is because of the artemia I feed them.

  • All right! But, how long time to fish adaptation in a planted tank? I bought 21 Hyphessobrycon callistus last month. They're in a big planted tank (93 gallon, kh 2, gh 1,5, ph 7,2 and amonium 0), but they're not red. Maybe 30 days is not enought to their adaptation, right? (Sorry my english, I'm Brazilian) Thank you!

  • @7415124a Can't remember if I send you a message yet, otherwise I'm sorry!

    How are your fish doing?

The KH is a little bit low, the PH is to high. Mine is KH 4-5, PH 6. This is my normal tapwater...

  • @7415124a But don't mess around with it too much, if the fish are doing fine it is ok. Otherwise you have to seek for other fish who can live in these waterconditions. 30 days is just at the edge, give them 2-3 months for adaption.

Now I have 12 of them, the 4 new ones I have are in the tank now for nearly one month and they are doing great! But the colour isn't there yet ;)

  • Wonderfull! This colours are fantastic! This fish is the Hyphessobrycon eques?
