@jellofast if the eggs are taken away and incubated, the adults won't see them as their children and the chicks imprint on human not their moms. So the adults won't take care of them, eat the babies food (which is different from the adults), and the babies have to be kept warm. In the wild the moms kept them warm by sitting on them (like when they were eggs) but with no mom they need a heat lamp.
