The argument that the other interviewed swede (Jan Lindgren) gave sucked. He says that statistics prove that the people who download the most movies are the ones who visit the cinema the most. Maybe that is true, but you can't know what is the cause and what is the effect! He seems to think that it implies that people who download movies are "drawn" to go to cinemas!
Don't get me wrong though I am VERY much on the side of the Pirate Party, but no argument is better than a very bad argument.

I don't agree that it sucked. ;) It's not the best argument out there and I agree that cause and effect in this case is a bit murky. But you're missing my main point. The companies like to cry wolf and say that filesharing leads to a drop in people going to the cinema. The study shows that is not the case, that the people who download still go to the cinema. And that means that the companies keep crying wolf when there is none. And that was my main point.
