I remember watching this performance on Viva TV back in '97 and also remember that I felt this band is on the edge of breaking apart. I really think this must have been a bad time for them and you can feel it here, too. Nevertheless I like this version quite a lot, really sexy! But still, that's not why I listen to LOA ;-)

I first heard them from their demo tape they put out and when RRR came out i was like "what the f@ck is this" and nearly threw the CD out the window. They went from deep bass vocals songs like "Color Blind" and "Depression" to high pitched singing. Now RRR is one of my favorite albums all time by anyone.

Viva 2 was the best music channel ever(-+-symbol-a show called overdrive). I love LoA, saw ´em twice. when keith was on tour with his solo show the last song he performed in Salzburg/Austria was: "let´s pretend" (about 10 min) with his acoustic guitar. gave me goose bumps.

LOA is a great 90's band. The Ugly album is very unique and reflects the bands personal life. River Runs Red is a heavier album, but Ugly has a more classic rock feel to it.

I agree RRR and Ugly are still their best albums , but LOA is so much more then HC , their music is growing each album , more mature , more experimental . And that's seems to be what they like to do , every album has positive and negative points but that's LOA , you like them or you hate them .

And Keith , he's just a weird little MF who has a great voice , i like his stuff , also his solo albums . Grtz from Belgium ;-)

They parted ways in -97 because of Keith wanting to play softer and softer. That has nothing to do with LOA. The roots of LOA is hardcore and crossover. Look it up or travel to NYC.

I´ve been a diehard fan since River Runs Red and before that but all I can say is that Keith shoul put out his solo stuff and let hard shit be hard shit.
