I neka vsichki znaqt che tq e rodena v gr. Plovdiv a ne vav Iskretc gledal sam q vav shouto na Slavi Trifonov i kogato toi q popita ot kade e tq kaza taka az sam ot gr. Plovdiv .
Vartan was born in Iskretz, Sofia Province, Bulgaria. Her father George was a Bulgarian]. He worked as an attaché at the French embassy in Sofia. Her mother Illona was Hungarian.[2]
You cannot dispute that fact too.last name is Vartanyan ...ok,but first name her father is Gergi.This is bulgarian name.Here living Armenians , Roma and other ...they were born here and they are Bulgarians.There are many Bulgarians living outside Bulgaria but they remain Bulgarians.I do not know what you got against us...but you are not right.
Translate the text and you will know that she sings for the Bulgarian river Maritsa,for the memories of her father and etc.Good luck with the investigation...

Her father was Armenian. His last name is Vartanyan.

She was Armenian, as you're American!
If the family had not fled from Turkey to Bulgaria, now there was no Sylvia Vartan,
because Turkish miscreants would have chopped them like chickens!
Sylvie Vartan likes of Bulgaria, not Armenia, just like his father.
Bye,bye!

@siadyambol I am just saying her father is Armenian and that is the truth. You cannot dispute that fact.
Her and her father's original last name is Vartanyan.

@stopyra71
right, she was bulgarian, but her name is VARTAN only.

@stopyra71
Yes, your are right saying that, there are many Bulgarians living outside Bulgaria but they remain Bulgarians.
So, there are many Armenians living outside Armenia (including Bulgaria) but they remain Armanians.

@GreenApple1964
you are wrong, like her wedding certificate mentions it, her real name is VARTAN, not VARTANYAN, and her father was bulgarian, not armenian.
