Not sure if I can ever buy an exotic car but if I can I would like to save up the money and pickup a limited production Valentino Balboni LP550. Even if I had the money for a GTR I would pick one up because it looks ugly and I don't care for dig accelertions, and I don't do tracking regularly, just like 99.993 % of the world population. :) Thank you.

@moneydrivesmexd, even if GTR had 560 hp it will get destroyed by LP560 in this race application. Horsepower itself doesn't not dictate how the car will perform against a different car. You must be new. GTR will need about 630 hp to maybe keep up with the LP560. You will need about 660 hp to keep up with a stock Balboni LP550 which has 160 less hp.

@DUHRSNSHN, the Valentino Balboni LP550 and Ferrari 458 Italia are faster than the Murcielago LP670. LP700 and GTR P800 will be a close race. Has any other improvements made other than horsepower on the Aventador?
@670lamborghini, LP560, which is considerably slower than the LP550, is a tad faster than the Murcielago LP640. LP550 will be either dangerously close to the LP670 if not faster. Italia 458 will do the same. It needs more powerful motor than in the LP670 in order to beat the famous Balboni LP550 or Italia 458, sir.
@matan776, the driver in the Nissan did his best. It was the car that physically, mechanically is lesser than the Gallardo LP560. It appears the driver in the Gallardo didn't push to its max. If it did, it would pull even more.
Let`s compare the 2012 Nissan GTR vs this Italian piece of crap. Italian engineers don`t equal to Japan`s. Look at the engines first: 3.8 litre V6 versus 5.2 V10... Another thing, that the Lamborghini is lighter and it`s engine is a bit more powerful, but it doesn`t make any sense on a track. So, fuck off Lamborghini.

It is not concentrated on one specific area, like the GTR does from dig racing and cornering. In real-world applications you will not be able to make much use out of the GTR. It will get obliterated by Gallardo in the highways which is widely available. The tracks are found in video games. Do you play Playstation sir?

@25Dleo, 700 hp Gallardo will beat the P800 Switzer GTR. 900 hp Gallardo will beat the Alpha 10 GTR. 1050 or 1100 hp Gallardo will take on the Alpha 12 GTR in the highways from 100~ 200+. The only time the GTR will beat the Gallardo is from dig and at some of the road course tracks.
Na bruh, if the GTR has 100 more HP it doesn't matter if it's from a dig or a roll, the extra 100hp will compensate. Ifthey have equal power then the Lambo will win from a roll only.
@Fraternity187, yes the extra 100 hp on the GTR will compensate, to some degree (speed), say around 5th gear. On 6th gear, that extra 100 hp won't be enough to compensate sir. The Gallardo LP560 will take over. In this gear range, you would need at least 150 hp, maybe 200 more, on the GTR to compensate the loss of power due to extra weight, inferior gear ratio, and the engine itself which only good till 6400 rpm and power falls out, not a good contender for high speed pulls. :)

The older gallardo has 560 horses and higher ratios...you get where im going... either way man these are impressive cars....is there an option on the GTR to disable aids anyone?
@navpers05, the Gallardo LP560 has 552 hp, not 560.. Yes, GTR is impressive, no doubt about that. But when comparing against the european sportscars the GTR is lesser car. I would hate to see when the 520hp GTR get beat badly by a modified M5 station wagon or the C63 AMG station wagon in the highway. :( It would be embarrassing to see.

Besides, tracking will wear out your car very fast. There are video games (racing simulators) that will take care of your tracking needs. It's no use in real world roads.
The difference between the GTR and *any* european sportscars is that, when you drive a GTR, there is less connection. It's like you are taking a ride on a car with a robot driving it. The euro sportscars you are actually controlling the car. It's much better feelings. It's not about just speed. If you have the money to buy either car, after you test drive each of them, you will choose choose the Lambo, Porsche, Pagani, Ferrari, Koenigsegg, etc. The driving experience is just off the chart.
@xkg20t Have you driven a GTR? Regardless of the onboard electronics it is still an impressive car for the money. I understand many other pure sportscars have limited or no assists but hey, just because you can afford a car does not in any way imply that you can drive it. I guarantee if you take two equally experienced drivers and slap them in either car, GTR or Gallardo, the driver in the GTR would rival the Lambo.
@navpers05, the built-in electronics along with close gearing and AWD makes people think it's a super duper car because it takes off fast from stand still and at cornering. This is no rocket science and is no technological achivement from the Nissan. We know exactly what Nissan did with this car. Compuer assist and low gearing is like cheating. :) It's cheap because of no exotic materials are used hence you feel cheap quality and weighs a lot.

We know the gtr will spank the lambo in corners any day and unless ur absolute pro, you will not be taking corners at 100mph + ..People chill out and enjoy the cars for what they are....BEAST!

In real world, you drive almost 100% of the time on public highways and streets, most of them are straights, and you can't speed due to lights and people. Race from rolling starts best represents what the car is capable of in real world applications, and is best method of measuring the full potential of the car for power. GTR cheats at low speeds and cornering.
@navpers05, GTR is AWD, has shorter gearing for low to mid/low speed ranges and has the computers that do all the work for you to get *maximum* traction. That's why it's faster at the track whereas the Gallardo's are more of *drivers car*. Purity and rawness. Sames goes true for most other european sports and exotic cars. Koenigsegg is one of the vehicles that are most difficult to drive. There's no brake and power assists. It's pure power and you have to control it all by yourself.

Lightly modded BMW M5 station wagon beats the Nissan GTR. GTR is very inefficient. So slow. Literally EVERY european cars are faster than Nissan GTR. Shame.
I have already witnessed plenty of incidents on GTR racing with other cars and considering its spec it really performs poorly from rolling speeds up top. AWD + tight on the lower gears, and all that computer assist makes the GTR go much faster from dig. The real stuff is on the rolling start races which tests the car to further extent. GTR is good for the price but still, feel cheap and ugly.

Nissan should make a v8 just like how most americans built v6 and v8 in most race cars. The Nissan GT-R can hold its own for only being a v6. The fastest v6 on the world today. Modify that thing and you can get over 1,000 horse power easy from that thing.
i love seeing a v6 nissan keeping up with some of the most expensive v10 and v12 cars like the lambo or ferrari, if nissan would build a v10 gtr you would come up with a monster that eats those for breakfast
@Seventh7Art, no it can't. You need about 130 more hp on the ~'11 GTR to keep up with completely stock LP560. And you will need about 200 more hp to be dead hit with the stock Balboni LP550 which has only 540 hp at the crank. This is for, 80~ triple digits. If you do 40 and up, the GTR will get the jump but will not be able to pull any more after picking up speed. You need to keep in mind that the GTR is geared for launches from 0 and low to mid range of speeds. This is why GTR does so poorly
@sw1000xg, not only the increased weight is what's hurting the GTR but also the gearing isn't designed for high ends. Lambo LP560-4, LP550 (faster than LP560), Italia 458 have better top ends as well, not just less weight.. and yes, they have a bit more hp too. LP560, considering it's AWD, is quite efficient, but the LP550 is insanely efficient. GTR is only useful if you are in the circuits, and in video games.:) In real world, public highways are highly used, which are mostly, straight. :)
@xkg20t, right in that its heavier and right that its designed for circuits, but it has a double clutch and with its 480 hp, and a twin turbo. I think that it’s definitely up to the driver then the car itself. I mean I have seen gtr’s win lambos and Ferraris. And few highways in the world are empty of traffic at all times, and have perfect straight's for more than maybe 2.5 few miles or even 4 miles wit few holes, so again it’s up to the driver, but I would bet on the gtr's awesome machinery

@fluxmaden, GTR was pushed to the limit. It's at 100% utilization. It's just too weak in rolling race applications. A station wagon slightly modded M5 takes on the GTR from roll as well. We know how slow the GTR is...

The GT-R is a great car but in my opinion it's not a supercar. It has the body style of a Evo. I have seen these on the streets and had to check again to make sure it was a GT-R. All in all, the GT-R seems more like a heavily modded $35,000 car.

@670lamborghini, LP560, which is considerably slower than the LP550, is a tad faster than the Murcielago LP640. LP550 will be either dangerously close to the LP670 if not faster. Italia 458 will do the same. It needs more powerful motor than in the LP670 in order to beat the famous Balboni LP550 or Italia 458, sir.

Let`s compare the 2012 Nissan GTR vs this Italian piece of crap. Italian engineers don`t equal to Japan`s. Look at the engines first: 3.8 litre V6 versus 5.2 V10... Another thing, that the Lamborghini is lighter and it`s engine is a bit more powerful, but it doesn`t make any sense on a track. So, fuck off Lamborghini.

@airidosas252, sir the Lamborghini serves different purpose, the highway pull. It is also designed for all-around performance. It is not concentrated on one specific area, like the GTR does from dig racing and cornering. In real-world applications you will not be able to make much use out of the GTR. It will get obliterated by Gallardo in the highways which is widely available. The tracks are found in video games. Do you play Playstation sir?

@25Dleo, 700 hp Gallardo will beat the P800 Switzer GTR. 900 hp Gallardo will beat the Alpha 10 GTR. 1050 or 1100 hp Gallardo will take on the Alpha 12 GTR in the highways from 100~ 200+. The only time the GTR will beat the Gallardo is from dig and at some of the road course tracks.

@Fraternity187, yes the extra 100 hp on the GTR will compensate, to some degree (speed), say around 5th gear. On 6th gear, that extra 100 hp won't be enough to compensate sir. The Gallardo LP560 will take over. In this gear range, you would need at least 150 hp, maybe 200 more, on the GTR to compensate the loss of power due to extra weight, inferior gear ratio, and the engine itself which only good till 6400 rpm and power falls out, not a good contender for high speed pulls. :)

I would hate to see when the 520hp GTR get beat badly by a modified M5 station wagon or the C63 AMG station wagon in the highway. :( It would be embarrassing to see.

Besides, tracking will wear out your car very fast. There are video games (racing simulators) that will take care of your tracking needs. It's no use in real world roads.

The difference between the GTR and *any* european sportscars is that, when you drive a GTR, there is less connection. It's like you are taking a ride on a car with a robot driving it. The euro sportscars you are actually controlling the car. It's much better feelings. It's not about just speed. If you have the money to buy either car, after you test drive each of them, you will choose choose the Lambo, Porsche, Pagani, Ferrari, Koenigsegg, etc. The driving experience is just off the chart.

I understand many other pure sportscars have limited or no assists but hey, just because you can afford a car does not in any way imply that you can drive it. I guarantee if you take two equally experienced drivers and slap them in either car, GTR or Gallardo, the driver in the GTR would rival the Lambo.

@navpers05, the built-in electronics along with close gearing and AWD makes people think it's a super duper car because it takes off fast from stand still and at cornering. This is no rocket science and is no technological achivement from the Nissan. We know exactly what Nissan did with this car. Compuer assist and low gearing is like cheating. :) It's cheap because of no exotic materials are used hence you feel cheap quality and weighs a lot.

In real world, you drive almost 100% of the time on public highways and streets, most of them are straights, and you can't speed due to lights and people. Race from rolling starts best represents what the car is capable of in real world applications, and is best method of measuring the full potential of the car for power. GTR cheats at low speeds and cornering.

@navpers05, GTR is AWD, has shorter gearing for low to mid/low speed ranges and has the computers that do all the work for you to get *maximum* traction. That's why it's faster at the track whereas the Gallardo's are more of *drivers car*. Purity and rawness. Sames goes true for most other european sports and exotic cars. Koenigsegg is one of the vehicles that are most difficult to drive. There's no brake and power assists. It's pure power and you have to control it all by yourself.

@Turbochargesi, dig launch is for the drivers. Rolling race is for the cars. m5boarddotcom knows this. It is also to eliminate drivers error. plus, the Nissan GTR cheats from dig. AWD + tight on the lower gears, and all that computer assist makes the GTR go much faster from dig. The real stuff is on the rolling start races which tests the car to further extent. GTR is good for the price but still, feel cheap and ugly.

Nissan should make a v8 just like how most americans built v6 and v8 in most race cars. The Nissan GT-R can hold its own for only being a v6. The fastest v6 on the world today. Modify that thing and you can get over 1,000 horse power easy from that thing.

@Seventh7Art, no it can't. You need about 130 more hp on the ~'11 GTR to keep up with completely stock LP560. And you will need about 200 more hp to be dead hit with the stock Balboni LP550 which has only 540 hp at the crank. This is for, 80~ triple digits. If you do 40 and up, the GTR will get the jump but will not be able to pull any more after picking up speed. You need to keep in mind that the GTR is geared for launches from 0 and low to mid range of speeds. This is why GTR does so poorly

@sw1000xg, not only the increased weight is what's hurting the GTR but also the gearing isn't designed for high ends. Lambo LP560-4, LP550 (faster than LP560), Italia 458 have better top ends as well, not just less weight.. and yes, they have a bit more hp too. LP560, considering it's AWD, is quite efficient, but the LP550 is insanely efficient. GTR is only useful if you are in the circuits, and in video games.:) In real world, public highways are highly used, which are mostly, straight. :)

I think that it’s definitely up to the driver then the car itself. I mean I have seen gtr’s win lambos and Ferraris. And few highways in the world are empty of traffic at all times, and have perfect straight's for more than maybe 2.5 few miles or even 4 miles wit few holes, so again it’s up to the driver, but I would bet on the gtr's awesome machinery

I said this over a thousand times but GTR really lacks in high-speed pulls. It's only good taking off from 0. The lp550-2 Valentino Balboni will "run" on the '12 GTR in this type of race application. LP550 is faster than LP560. You need about 600hp on the GTR to keep up with the LP550.

The GT-R is a great car but in my opinion it's not a supercar. It has the body style of a Evo. I have seen these on the streets and had to check again to make sure it was a GT-R. All in all, the GT-R seems more like a heavily modded $35,000 car.

@NinjaAntx you my friend are an idiot, The GTR looks no where close to an EVO, also GTR IS SUPER car at its finest, try driving one ... I own a 2012 GTR so I may be a little bias but even so , you are an idiot... then again you were just stating your opinion so its alrght, your opinion is stupid....

@g2malton There are no stupid opinions, only stupid people like yourself. A lot of people here in Cali say the GT-R looks like a 2011 Evo from the side, both cars have that hefty boxy appearance. The GT-R engine is nothing great, take a engine and make it twin turbo huh? Typical Jap crap (no offense to the Japanese). You should post some vids up of your ride though : )

well to be honest, myself & others do agree that the GTR looks like a R-34 Initially raped a Evo X and the GTR was the product of that lol.
