I think that's the point people are missing. Many people claim to be christian, and are not. Those who profit from greed in the name of God are far more despicable than those who claim to not be a believer. Why wouldn't a "true" christian get upset with a church that is corrupt? It just perpetuates hatred against believers and all the other stereotypes associated with it. Christ himself was angry when people were corrupting the temple by gambling. I am so tired of people's hatred and ignorance.

In my opinion, the song is about a corrupt church, or preacher of a church...Why do people care if Lovedrug are "Christians" or not...I think they are an amazing band either way, and it's a shame if people judge the band on this basis, rather than their obvious talent...Lovedrug rocks, Christian or not!

i didn't realize my last comment would be posted at the top of the list. i was referring to the fact that it's mostly true that many religions will Push the Shine of personal salvation, the requirement being you donate handsome sums of money to the church. (what a gag) it should be obvious to see, for the most part, the scandalism of Church. not to mention they don't even teach accurate truth from the Bible. so, perhaps this video is about that, i don't know. i like most their music.

From what I've been reading, Michael is no longer a Christian. He criticized Christian kids in an interview and said in a blog that if you're good you'll go to heaven and if you're bad you'll go to hell, which apparently was the "discovery" he made in the Himalayas.

They're on The Militia Group, which is a label for openly Christian artists (ie: Copeland). Lovedrug's never been a preachy band or anything, but "Down Towards The Healing" is definitely a song about straying from God, and asking for forgiveness. "Indie-pop" refers to the genre of music they play, which is completely different. I'm not a Christian myself, but this video still kind of bothers me, because it seems to be a mockery of the church.

I loved doing this project! Graham was awesome, just the right combination of vision, drive and collaboration! The guys in Lovedrug were appreciative, respectful, and incredibly patient considering the fact that they had played a gig the night before and had a long bus ride ahead of them. The folks from Militagroup were great.
