im a high school bowler with a 210 avg, and plan on picking up a new ball for the new high school season and i plan on going with the nano, could i drill the nano for a strong continuous arc, and put a coat of polish on it to make it be able to be used on a house shot which is pretty heavy?
@royplayer Sorry for the delay in response to your question, but I do have a marvel. It is very predictable off the dry and an excellent step down from the nano. Marvel is plenty of ball for a house shot, or any sport shot. Currently I average between 220-230 depending on the house.
@inodesens Also I just noticed the post by robr2004 after I made my post to you, so I guess we are both in agreement. Right now I am throwing a Onyx Vibe and a blue Vibe and doing quite well with them because they have a great symmetric core. that is why the Marvel would be a good choice for you. I am looking at getting a Marvel for myself. I am also looking at the Lane #1 Time Bomb because it has a symmetrical core very similar to the core in the Vibe series.
@inodesens If you track low like me then getting a asymmetrical core ball like the Taboo may not be your best bet unless you drill the ball with the CG closer to your track than normal. Asymmetrical core balls, especially the Widow core balls do not agree with me because I throw a low track spinner. I think symmetric cores are better for low trackers because the roll and midlane read is much more predictable. I would go with a Storm Marvel because it has a better cover than a Prodigy.
im thinking about either getting this mother fucker, or the damage ball. i need a ball with power because my ball speeds are slow and hook less on oil lanes.
@kingzmaul If your revs are also high, then do not get the VG. It will hook way too much. I bought a Virtual Gravity a few months ago, but haven't been able to use it until recently. My ball speed was 15 mph (not too slow), but my revs are high 400s (not 2h bowler), so the ball hooked waaaay too much. My ball speed is up to 18mph now, and the VG works great.
@iwasadeum right now i have a slingshot and it does good on oil lanes, but when its dry it just hooks all the way to left and i cant control it. thats why i wanted a more powerful ball so that even if i miss the pocket it will satter more then normally. been bowling for about 7 months ago and tried to get 200 with house b4 getting my slingshot. highest i gotten was 183. i got my slingshot a week ago and im at 197.
@kingzmaul dry lanes will literally send the VG 3 lanes over. VG is for very oily lanes. It can be used on medium oil, but you have to play DEEP inside.
If you're having problems with your slingshot over-hooking, the VG will gutter opposite your strike pocket every time. I would suggest trying a Storm Tropical ball for dry lanes.
@iwasadeum is the strom tropical good for med lanes as well as dry? or just dry because if its built for just dry thats good but med to dry im kinda ify, i miss my pocket to the left im a right handed bowler thats only sometimes, i use 15th board most of the time. and i stand left of the center dot. i will research the storm
@kingzmaul any ball can essentially be used for any lane condition. It would be a matter of some extreme movements, however.
As for myself, I like to bowl from the same spot, so I have several different balls for different oil conditions. The tropical would work fine on medium oil, but you may have to give it a little extra rotation, or slow down your speed a little bit.
idk if i should get this ball i have a low track and a medium rev. my prodigy doesnt move for anything but my tropical head goes to long, im thinking about getting a taboo what would my best bet be
nice roll. I love my vg nano but back to a league on a 2nd shift THS so I might have to sell it. Great video btw

I think this ball is alright, but does seem to push a little bit much, I will probably be sticking with my Brunswick Fury and Columbia 300 Vector Two

@its5454uyu Well the first tester had a pin up layout mainly because of his average ball speed. He needed that thing to push!

@bowlingfreakz lol yeah... like WTF!

The Nano is waaaay to much ball. Even on the heaviest oil patterns it still has enough hook to find the pocket.

does the virual gravity has a p hole?? it could be stronger right??

A friend of mine has a marvel and I like it, but I just think the nano is a much stronger ball...
M0NSTERIII 10 months ago
@M0NSTERIII The nano is the strongest ball. For now at least.
gamemeister27 10 months ago
@M0NSTERIII They are both hella strong balls. Just depends on conditions, drilling, etc

@robr2004 Thanks Rob. Do you have one? What is your average? I will probably get one before I go to Nationals at the end of April.

I would like to see a left handed tester lol. So i can get a good idea of what it would be like if i threw the ball

@inodesens Get a marvel, it has a ton of midlane, very predictable, and a ton of power through the pin deck.
