  • Wow dude, even the great Grant Kirkhope noticed the brilliant skills you have. Accomplishment made indefinitely.

  • Really love this song!!!! Thumbs up everyone who wants sheets!!! Plus 9 people never made it through the Bottle tuts around the spiral mountain!

  • I was sad when Nuts and Bolts was released... I want the classic B&K. :(

  • BanjoKazooie was my first game on the N64 and I loved it. Just started playing it from the beginning again, mostly because i absolutely LOVE the music in the game. WIsh you'd play more of the songs in it :D

  • Nostalgia....Loved Super Mario 64, but Banjo and Kazooie s2!

  • It is unnormal. Amazing.

  • When I was a kid I thought this level was scary lol. :D

  • YES, PLEASE.

  • OMFG!!! Dude i check almost all your videos, but i don't know how i missed this one. OMG dude u cried when you started playing, and i couldn't believe you actually played it, and yes i noticed the different variations of this song(when your underwater, going to the ice stage and going to the haunted house-yes i do know BK ) and i say even though you were playing with the notes, you still executed it well. Great job man, kudos!!!

  • Somebody posted this on my Facebook page, I hadn't seen it before and I have to say it's fantastic! To have someone take the time to learn and play a piece that I wrote is just amazing, let alone to play it so well ..... I only wish i could play it half as good as this!! Thank you for posting this!!

  • @Grantkirkhope

You're not the only one in awe with interpretations of your works. It's your fault writing such simple but amazing pieces that will stick in our heads for decades to come. I will - from time to time that is - just randomly search the internets for a piece of yours and see what google and youtube generate! Found a lot of awesomeness that way!

  • OMGUSTA!

  • played the game when i was 6 years old, and now i remember it all!!

  • i still got the game on the original console N64 plus my Xbox 360

  • you just awakened a deep part of my childhood that i had long since forgotten about.

  • @betrekwoman

    Same here! :D

  • Please play more from Banjo Kazooie! Its my favorate video game too!

  • sheets please

  • If you go down to the woods today, uou'll be sure to see a surpise - Taddy Bears Picnic

  • Kyle you need to do a medley for this game, im talking all the theme levels in this game it would actually make my year!

  • Holy shit, that contour is retarded good. Maybe you should be the top of the media instead of the fails we have right now.

  • Waw!! Really impresive O_O

It's one of my favorite VG music!! Thanks for this master piece =)

  • MAN i fucking love this game, difficult as hell though

  • cool vid :D The best part is from 0:51 to 1:10

  • please play mad monster mansion from tis same game....

  • Incidentally, this is an arrangement of a children's song, "The Teddy-Bear's Picnic". Fits pretty perfectly for Grunty's Lair.

  • 7 people could not retrieve the first Jiggy on the pile of rocks. whilist 851 of us have been "touched" by the epicness of this song and which it stands for.

  • Kyle (insert middle name here) Landry.

Yet another jaw dropping piece, and I dare say you should play Grunties Furnace Fun (The Quiz Music at the end of the first game) That, I bet would be amazing when you played it.

  • hey, i would love to hear/see you play The Sorcerer's Apprentice song from Disney's Fantasia. You know, with Mickey and the brooms and whatnot?? That's be so cool, that song is already awesome and you'd make it epic!

  • kyle landry! this song is fuckin amazing! so amazing i learned how to play myself on the piano! this is def on of my fav videos of yours! keep up the great work!

  • i totally want to play this at halloween, just put a boom box in the entry for when i give out cany

  • Great video and great piano playing. But you missed a whole section of the melody!

  • 2:03 sounds almost exactly like that one phrase in Scott Joplin's Maple Leaf Rag >_>

But anyways, absolutely amazing performance and arrangement. I'm the same age as you and I always consider myself to be decent at piano, but watching your videos... man. Now I really have a motivation to practice and get better! Thank you for these videos; it's a crime that you don't have more viewers and subscribers.

  • Grunty: Klungo you green and ugly fool,

get this man a grand piano and diamond stool.

He shall play in my lair till the fall of the Mountain of Spiral,

and make sure this video goes viral!

    Klungo: Yesssssssssss misssssstresssssss.

(I do know it was called Spiral Mountain, try and rhyme viral with mountain.)

    Fantastic.

  • @DecoNintendo just cool :D nice rhyme :D

  • you forgot to do the amazing intro all you did was ''BLAH''

  • Kyle and I have the same favorite video game!?!? This makes my life complete!

  • A-M-A-Z-I-N-G

  • How can anyone dislike this video? Just listening to it makes me tingle with nostalgia.

  • WTF!!! DUUUUDEE!! PLease please please please please PPPPPPPPPLLLLEEEAAAASSSEEEE!!! Make a tutorial for this!!! So awesome!! Great job!!!

  • Really epic piano playing dude. Love it :D

  • Why does everything sound awesome on piano?

  • So is there sheet music to this? Or did you just make variations of it from another sheet music? If so where did you get the sheet music? (I've checked the one on ninsheetmusic, and as wondering if that was the one you used.)

  • Great performance!

  • This game did have very interesting music. I had to give up after fighting Gruntilda about 50 times with no success. Never beat it =P

  • misssstreeessssss, kyle-lungo playssss piano foorrrr yeh

  • YOU ARE A GOD. There goes all pride in my pitiful interpretation

  • this game and Banjo Tooie had superb music

  • but you have forgotten play the final melody !!!

  • I absolutely love this game! N64 has the greatest games. Your music is phenomenal, I love the Nintendo themes that you have, amazing work!

  • way tooo good...respect!!!

  • Banjo: Kazooie? Do you hear something?

Kazooie: Sounds like a piano....let's investigate!

*Banjo and Kazooie walk in on kylelandry playing this song*

Kazooie: I didn't know Grunty had the scratch to afford a pianist...

  • He picked up the speed boots at 0:57 :)

  • wooooooooooooooooooow one of my top 3 games ever to play and you have a song how did i not see it before! ahhh fav theme :D

  • If you go to the woods today you're in for a big suprise...

  • There are no words for how awesome this is.

  • @XestaStudios ya i know seriously !!!

  • 5 people got killed by a huge carrot

  • YES!!! YOU PLAY BANJO!!! THAT GAME RULEZ!!!!

  • I love you...

    ...your MUSIC I mean... >_<

  • You said there was no structure to this, that you where just messing around XD, But still its great. But do you have a link to the sheet music you where basing this off of? Because I'd love to play this.

  • wow... simply amazing

  • ...That...Was the fucking best.... I have EVER...Heard this song...

    You sir, are a badass.

  • original banjo kazooie FTW FTW FTW!!!!

  • THE BEST!

  • I love that game! It was awesome! btw nice played kyle :D

  • i didnt even know that the piano could be played like that. im jealous!

  • UNNNBELIEVEABLEE :D

  • Hands down, GRATEST GAME for N64 and greatest game of the Decade! :D i still play it to this day, even tho i can beat it in 4 hours minimum. :D favorite level was probably Click Clock Woods. i never get tired of the music or the level. <3 im gonna play this game today!

  • this man has a greatly artistic mind, he's harnessed a great song and amplified it's kick-assed-ness, with the missing elements it, it feels like a symphony written by bethoven and all of the other all together

  • First 39 seconds are pretty boring, but at 40 it's legendary!

  • He deserves Pizza!

  • 5 people got eaten by the shark when they where trying to save Blue Jinjo

  • @kupOnut11 ikr! Snacker was SOOOOO annoying!!!

  • @kupOnut11

i am scared in the water now because of that shark.. X(

  • @kupOnut11 mmm Lovely

  • @kupOnut11 AAARGH YOU HAVE AWAKENED CHILD HOOD SCARS

    D:

  • Very nice, but I'd rather you also included that later part of the song; although it is absent even from the Nuts n' Bolts Grunty's songs, if I remember correctly. It would fit nicely into this execution of yours. The 'furnace' edition of this song is very interesting too...

Hm, anyway, you did good into prolonging this and keeping it fresh. You have a more than decent sound quality and performance in your videos, which makes them very audible, entertaining and noteworthy. Well done.

  • my favorite game to first game i ever got. ill play that game again anyday!!!

  • Wow!! That was PERFECT! It's even better than the original!!

That's how people should play these songs, but only Immortals can!!

    Congratulations!

  • I'm sure Grunty would want you to play this in her lair!

  • @Henk250I lol silly goose!!! lolz!!!!!!

  • @Henk250I haha, I can see it already. Banjo and Kazooie enter Gruntilda's lair to see Kyle in a white suit playing this on a white piano, with smoke everywhere around, and right above him a huge painting of Gruntilda in a victorian era dress with a cigarette and a glass of wine. Lol. If video game characters in the N64 era could make facial expressions, i bet Banjo's and Kazooie's would be priceless :)

  • I've enjoyed thank to de

  • This is so epic. It would be awesome to hear it played with a grand church organ. It would be the next Toccata & Fugue.

  • GUH HUT!

Ah banjo kazooie i love you.

  • @metalhead100100 its actually GUH HUH. if you look on a split-up pad for banjo it will say "GUH HUH" and for kazooie it says something like "BREEEEEE"

  • Loved this game. If you decide to cover maybe try Click Clock woods? Def one my faves from Banjo-Kazooie. Awesome job though, made my day coming across this.

  • @disneyisb8r yep the same, click clock wood SPRING! is great. Also Jolly Rogers Lagoon (Banjo Toojie) :D

    I love those 2 Games :D

  • This is amazing. You are SO talented!

  • Am I the only one who can hear Teddy Bear's picnic?

  • I LOVE THIS GAME TOO! Who doesn't?

  • wow just wow ... indescribable just wow ...

  • This game is by far the best game on any system of all time. I actually have to thank microsoft for putting it on Xbox live arcade

  • i'd kill do get the note-sheet!!

  • if you do clankers cavern on piano like this you'd not make my day, but my life

  • I love the start of the piece at 1:45

It reminds me of something straight out of DK64 and yes I know it's the same composer

  • Excellent arrangement of one of Banjo's moodiest pieces. Just as melodic and haunting as the original. You've got some great talent with the piano there. Keep it up! More Banjo, please, preferably from the first game or the most recent one, Nuts & Bolts.

  • You seem to be just INSIDE the music that you are playing in that moment.

I wonder what you picture in your head while playing!?

By the way: I lust love "When it Rains" from Works for Piano Vol. 2

I can visually picture the heavy rain in the beginning and the little raindrops falling off the trees after that rain.... ah just great! Play it almost every morning on my way to work.

  • Oh, this is just great - I love this game so much, & your piano just made it that just better. :]

  • You must be good friends with God. Only he could give you such amazing hands.

  • 3:12 to 4:00 sounds like something that would play at an abandoned amusement park :S

Love how you can add in extra notes but still keep the core Grunty Lair throughout the whole song <3

  • Exelente song and good memories of my gammer past

  • Wow. You took one of my favourite pieces from my all-time favourite game and made it so mind-blowing! It brought tears to my eyes

There are no words to describe how perfect this is.

  • hope you dont mind me taking this and putin it on the ipod >.>

  • Sir, this was the most amazing thing I ever heard, and I don't believe anyone else could have done it more justice than you have right now other than the original composers. Is there anyway that I could get an mp3 of this by chance? Thank you for doing this, you have my most sincere respect.

  • 4 people ended up in a stranded cauldron

  • Omg I just died I love Banjo Kazooie xD

  • kylelandry

  • I also want a lair with a badass background music! :)

  • I peed a little.

and damn straight best game ever

  • fuck that was insane! LOVED IT! :D

  • Awesome! Love the feeling he puts into the song!

  • Wow, Exellently played. and no paper either! -Takes hat off, gets on one knee- I am not worthy.

  • 4 people are fans of Nuts and bolts......

  • @UrSkulled I'm a fan of Nuts and Bolts. You're arrogant if you think that's a reason to dislike the original games.

  • @Suchaku First of all, let me quote you. "You're arrogant if you think that's a reason to dislike the ORIGINAL games."

Let me start off by saying what I had said "4 people are fans of Nuts and Bolts"-- This does not imply that I dislike the original games, perhaps you're mentally handicapped and have a certain way of interpreting text.

Also, I'm an extremely loyal/dedicated fan of Rareware, I love most of their work. BK n&b was a step away from platforming, which I deemed unfavorable. So stfu

  • @UrSkulled "4 People are fans of Nuts and Bolts" is implying that the 4 dislikes comes from them. That is arrogant. End of.

  • @UrSkulled To that end, let me quote you: "This does not imply that I dislike the original games, perhaps you're mentally handicapped and have a certain way of interpreting text." - Okay, I have a mental handicap, when you obviously interpret it completely wrong? I never stated you disliked the original games. How's that for your interpretation and handicap? Tard.

  • @UrSkulled Oh, and lastly: "Also, I'm an extremely loyal/dedicated fan of Rareware." Obviously not. "The 4 people that disliked are fans of Harry Potter 6" posted on a Harry Potter 7 trailer. Same thing.

  • @Suchaku You said I was arrogant because you think I implied that most people who like Nuts and bolts dislike the originals. This is NOT what I meant at all, I'm not even sure how you'd even get that out of my comment. I was implying that most people don't like nuts and bolts, especially if you grew up with kazooie/tooie. And it's not like intelligent people take these comments seriously.....

  • @UrSkulled Why would you post anything about people not liking nuts and bolts on a video that has "almost" nothing to do with this? It's a common know fact that people post "the X number of dislikes are Y". Knowing the number of dislikes is 4, and knowing you posted that 4 people are fans of NnB, you're clearly implying that those who like NnB cannot and do not appreciate this movie whatsoever. Which is arrogant because NnB is a good game which doesn't make the previous games any better or worse

  • @Suchaku N&B does not meet the requirements to live up to its previous platforming games. It was proven in plenty of ratings/feedback, and of course shown by the comparison of sales. Why are you going out of your way to challenge my comment, I'm obviously correct. I'm not speaking for anyone in specific, but I can safely and surely say I'm speaking for the majority when I say..."N&B is not a better game, thus making the originals superior".

Unfortunately for you, you're and odd-ball. Good day.

  • @UrSkulled Unfortunately for you, you're dodging my points, and I'm slashing back till you realize you're the odd-ball. You claim that those who like N&B cannot like this. That is arrogant. There's no more in that, no matter if N&B was a Mario game, or a Sonic, or Banjo-Kazooie. You're claiming that because you like that, you cannot like this. Arrogance and ignorance, dumb and retarded.

I'm sorry, all these points are correct. Good day to you, sir.

  • @Suchaku I'm not dodging any points, as I've answered them repeatedly. Your statement that you said "the X number of dislikes are Y" was a common known fact that people post. This is true, so why bother with something that's typed up every minute or so on every video, POINT IS, It's an expression used on the internet and does not imply what you're suggesting. It's the internet, get over it.

  • @UrSkulled It's implying exactly what I'm saying, and you can't say, and haven't said anything to prove me wrong.

  • @Suchaku Now you're dodging my corrections to your theory.

  • @UrSkulled You haven't stated any corrections. You state that you wrote the opposite of what you wrote. It has no separate meaning. 4 people are nuts and bolts fans means that you think the 4 that thumbed this down like nuts and bolts (as if that's an insult, great game.) And I question why you have to be arrogant and generalize everything into one factor; Like nuts and bolts? Can't like this then.

  • @Suchaku And you contradicted yourself by saying how phrases like "the X number of dislikes are Y" happen all the time and are a common saying." You corrected your own theory, but yet you still don't accept that. THAT EQUATION right there going along with you saying it was a COMMON SAYING, completely ruins the statement you make about how you interpret what I wrote, " that you think the 4 that thumbed this down like nuts and bolts." It's a common saying, as you stated.

  • @UrSkulled It's a common saying. My theory is that your version of a common saying is arrogant, which you still haven't proven me wrong about. There's no contradiction.

  • @Suchaku You're still not hitting the nail on the head, the common saying part implies that anything you refer to afterwards is supposed to be a "JOKE." Clearly some humor doesn't reach the minds of some people.

  • @UrSkulled I also don't see how that contradicts, I use it as an example to say "Those who like Harry Potter 6 thumbed down this Harry Potter 7 video" - A sentence which is completely arrogant, as your opinion of Harry Potter 6 shines through, and you generalize everybody, who likes Harry Potter six.

"Those who like Nuts and Bolts thumbed down this Banjo-Kazooie video" - Arrogant as your opinion comes through - you dislike NnB - and you also think everyone who likes it, dislikes this.

  • @Suchaku Arrogance is an idiotic term for people who fail to see a joke in front of them, yes the game sucks, I believe strongly in that, as for my statement it was used as a joke, as all of the YOUTUBE COMMON SAYINGS ARE.

  • @UrSkulled Some things are funny, others aren't. Common sayings don't necessarily equal jokes. Also, the game was awesome, but some people fail to think new. But that's your loss. Either way, I'm a fan of both this and the originals - although I felt Banjo-Tooie was hurried.

  • @Suchaku I could sit here and point out the flaws of Nuts and bolts and continue this argument, or completely disagree with you on Tooie, as it had reasons to be rushed, but not a lot. But there's no point.

  • @UrSkulled It did have reasons to be rushed, but that resulted in a game that I don't consider a proper sequel to Banjo-Kazooie. Nuts and Bolts was incredibly made, the only minuses being the continuous returns to the same levels, and Terrarium of Terror. Was a nice step to the sidestep - building vehicles is amazing. Now they just need to continue forward with the platforming. Which probably won't happen.

  • @Suchaku Banjo Tooie had nice features, keeping in mind Nuts and Bolts was created on the 360, not the N64. Banjo Tooie had creative worlds, and thought it was a better sequel to the Banjo Series then nuts and bolts.

  • @UrSkulled Was creative, but I missed the charm. Also miss the charm of Grunty's Lair - Isle of Hags can never replace it :/. Showdown Town did a better job as a hub I think.

  • @Suchaku You never really left showdown town, so the game got that repeated feeling to it, and once you entered a world, the rest of the worlds looked the same, just night time or day time.

  • @UrSkulled Agreed, but on the other hand, you never really left the Isle of Hags either, only to meet up with Cheato :/

  • @Suchaku But every place you traveled to would be a whole new world you haven't seen before and it required a bit more thinking then Banjo Kazooie, such as making good use of the Train Station.

  • @UrSkulled I didn't really feel I needed thinking anywhere else than Grunty Industries in Tooie :(. Don't really like Chuffy, but I guess that's opinion-based, the whole thing. I didn't really feel Isle of Hags at all. Not to mention the jiggywiggy temple, that raised my eyebrow, and not for good :/. I liked the puzzle finding in Grunty's Lair better.

  • @Suchaku If you think about it, Jiggywiggys temple is no real different then Showdown towns deposit system.

  • @UrSkulled I really hated the deposit system too :/.

I did however like the creative levels. Just a shame they didn't use them for half of their full potential, and instead made you revisit the same world all the time.

    I HATE Logbox 720.

  • @Suchaku I thought playing inside an "Xbox" was a cool concept for a level but was poorly created for the game.

  • @UrSkulled I was quite excited about the level when you saw the introduction, but I quickly realized the stupidity of the level - you can't have any larger vehicle in it due to all thing small thingamajigs and whatnots. Which ruined the later missions so much, I didn't play that level at all.

  • @Suchaku My Favorite level was Banjo Land, now that was creativity.

  • @UrSkulled The music of Banjo Land <3

  • @Suchaku dude just to finish the before stated...the comment about nuts and bolts it meant the whole other way around....it implies that the majority of people that like the first games of BK don't like NnB because of the change...therefore they hate on the game and the users...thus making jokes about it(such as putting comments on this video)...but it's not serious ¬¬

  • @UrSkulled I don't see what makes you write anything about Nuts and Bolts in here either, you're just out to insult people who can enjoy any sort of game, which doesn't play according to your flute.

  • @UrSkulled - And I'm going out of my way to do it because I think you're a dick. :D

  • @UrSkulled cmon... really? noone could be a fan of that game

  • @44ch1m bro just check out the virtual comment fight that went down in pages 4 thru 1 xD hahaha it's extremely hard and rough....and it literaly ends with a heart hahahah ....it's a fight between this guy (the one with the comment about nuts and bolts) and some other guy (a fan of nuts and bolts ) hahah it ends with a heart dude xD hahahahahahah

  • @waflikky2 bahahaha wow, world war III

  • @UrSkulled ahahahahahhaa

  • 4 people hadn't a N64 for Christmas =(

  • Do you know that practically all the songs in Banjo-Kazooie are in the key of C?
