OllyDebug is great. Key thing is understanding the stack architecture within each thread 4 example...[LOCAL BUFFER][EBP][EIP][ARG0][ARG1][ARG2]. Local buffer being the allocated buffer within your function, EIP being what u want to overwrite. Stack grows upward to lower mem [0x00000000]....[0xFFFFFFFF]<--bottom of stack.

Using OllyDebug I see. I am currently trying to learn how to incorporate it with my own studies of B.O.F's etc. I thoroughly enjoyed your video...
