i had mentioned after the surgery i had an abcess in it, what happened was a piece of nail bed was left in the toe and a toenail formed inside my toe from it and became infected. its all better now though

yeah dude same here. iot was my first time, and the stupid doctor forgot to numb the back of my toe, so i felt everything adn then he shoved the needle THROUGH my toe. it came clear out teh other side and he squirted teh medicine, not realizing why i was screamin my ass off.

well i got it operated on december something of 2008

and it was healing perfectly but i got a small cut where my scar was and it formed an abcess inside my toe

so now i have a puss pocket splitting all the insides of my toe apart so when i get that fixed i have to start the healing process over again

Go see a Podiatrist, and get that shit removed. If you prolong it you'll get a really bad infection which can lead to amputation.

Yup, it's called osteomylitis - infection of the bone. They cannot fix it. Just have to cut it off. I worked for a podiatrist. Scary shit!

well when i went for an x-ray and this gamma radiation shit they told me there might be an infection in the bone and that they might have to cut the toe totally open to scrape it away or whatever and he said if worse comes to worse they would have to remove the tip of the bone and put a pin and a prostetic bone in

why did u let it get that bad for man? When i get mine I take them out myself. Its simple although mine never get as bad as that though. I usually get a sewing needle and i put it in the corner and push down to where you feel the end touch the nail and then I lift up the nail out of the tissue and get a pair of long nose pliers and pull it out. Not much pain actually. Hope u get better.
