  • These guys don't make films, they make 2 hour long music videos.

  • hears all of Michael Bays Movies 1994 Bad Boys 1996 The Rock 1998 Aramagddon 2000 Pearl Harber 2003 Bad Boys 2 2005 The Island 2007 Transformers 2009 Transformer Revenge Of The Fallen 2011 Transformers Dark Of The Moon The one i like the most Armageddon

  • Bay: Large screen, movie seats... popcorn...

    Rose: What's the story?

    Bay: ....... o.O

  • Notice how Michael Bay's nose isn't blocked in this 1996 interview... he's yet to vacuum up the tonnes of coke that fuck his nasal cavity I think!

  • u know why everybody likes bruckheimer? listen to his voice. he has a voice which attracts people... deep, smoky. thts it.

  • If i had a action film i wanted to make, Bruckheimer & Bay would be my first and last choice hands down!!!

  • I agree, Bay's always been a bit full of himself, but it's not like that's uncommon among Hollywood directors

But his movies are entertaining and don't aspire to be anything other than what they are: pure popcorn

I've said it before: You want deep, go see Scorsese or Steven Soderbergh

  • Wow, with that hair, Bay could almost be Hardy Boys-era Parker Stevenson

  • Everything Micheal Bay does is crap. Bruckhiemer has been attached to better projects. plus bruckhiemer just seems like he's got a bit more humility. I've seen interviews with Bay. He's just an ass.

  • @insiane not true, he's occasionally sloppy, he gets a lot of nerd hate for Transformers though

  • It's d-bags like them who ruined the art form of film and turned hollywood into a bastardized money-making, elitist joke.

  • @lleszkay both of these guys are a fucking joke. honestly these guys piss me the fuck off. these guys are the worst. nolan and spielberg are now enterting into the league of these guys, nolan and spielberg better get their shit togather, they are way too talented to working in the same genre as these guys. and spielberg should be ASHAMED to attach his name to a michael bay film

  • I would like to work with one of you all one day.In a plan for a future Martial art film story my ways of knowing.Remember I was here and said it in my early days to come true one day.Make plans and room for me.Good people that come together will bring out a valuable image to the next generation of new lighted minds.Remember I was here.Thai

  • Michael Bay's films were one of the best in Hollywood and then he made Transformers 2 and the whole world is about to give him an award for the worst movie director and this is just because of the one film?

    What's wrong with u people?

  • @JoshGI100 None of his films are good.

  • Bay really is a smug looking guy isn't he? still, he made Bad Boys 2, so he's cool with me

  • Bay looks like a skater kid from the Valley, lmaoooo.

  • Is Bay or Bruckheimer practicing Jews? Do they go to synagogue or temple?

  • @Jspeterson LOL

  • Never before has so much of the reasons for hollywood's mediocrity been in one place, at one time.

  • Jesus fucking Christ! How much ass-licking does Bruckheimer do in the first two minutes?

Hell, no wonder Bay has a ginormous ego.

  • Jerry Bruckheimer is a great producer, why dont he also direct his films.

  • I wish he'd produce things that don't all look the same.

  • i wonder why Bay's script was rejected in the first place... hez horrible. i wouldnt approve anything he writes.

Michael Bay looks lke a fuckin bird

however this was a great movie lol

  • yahoo9317

Your west. I've just started reading 'High Concept' tis' about Don simpson and Jerry Bruckheimier, mainly done, I'm seeing names. never mind haha too stoned.

  • @kenjilepb

I'm reading it now.... damn nothing but a bunch of coke heads making movies.. its easy to understand high concept movies when yu read the book.. the movies were in fact like doing coke.. a fast paced movie with intersting parts here and there with a happy easy to understand ending

  • How come everyone hates Michael Bay, but not Jerry Bruckheimer?

  • They don't hate Michael or Jerry. Jerry Bruckheimer is a great producer and I respect that. On the other hand, Michael is a great director as well as a producer in his own right. There is a lot of criticism about Michael in what he does in his movies. The point is everyone needs feel free about their own opinions. There are some movies that he makes who they like or dislike and that's all there is to it.

  • But that's NOT all there is to it. People DO hate Michael Bay.

  • yahoo9317, you're a moron.

  • @richmond436 Bruckheimer at least produces some genuinely good films every once in a while, Bay however produces crap, crap and CRAP! He directs horrific action fests like Tranformers while helping to push out uninspired tacky remakes of classic horror films just for the quick pay. The faster he gets kicked out of this industry the better.

  • @SonicCrakpot Do you work in the film industry? I happen to, and though you're entitled to your opinion, your views are off base. Any business is about making money. Bay is one of the most profitable film director's today. The bottom line is all that matters. I'm not a fan of a lot of Bay films, but anyone with his success isn't crap. His films have some of the best production value around. Oh ignorance.

  • @MajicPictures Frankly, while I appreciate the fact that you're in the industry, that doesn't make your opinion towards Bay any more valid then mine. People only defend Bay because his films make shit loads of box office returns. I don't have to be a film maker to realise how terrible Bay's films are, it's called being a critic. Business maybe about only money with shallow minded people like Bay, but anyone with passion like Spielberg understands that creativity comes first.

  • Then why the fuck is Spielberg producing Michael Bay's films? Listen, America is full of idiots. Hollywood supplies a steady stream of narcotic films in certain genres to make money from these idiots. That's all there is to it. Yes, Michael Bay films have production value; but then again, he's given a shit load of money to what he does: blow up things in masterful shots. You get rid of the idiots--americans--you can get rid of these shitty films...which is, never going to happen.

  • @NeoTRP

No you don't. These movies make most of their money back overseas. Oops.

  • @NeoTRP Why the fuck is Spielberg producing Michael Bay films? Shall I answer that for you? Because they make fuck tones of money. Spielberg isn't stupid, he's a genius. He knows these films are god awful and anything he says otherwise, he's talking from what his, a producer on a film that is going to rake in shit loads of cash, of course he's not going to bad mouth it. That's the only reason he did Transformers, besides he's an executive producer. That means fuck all.

  • Of course he's a genius when it comes to making money! he's a fucking kike, for godsakes. Tell me something I don't know for a change. An 'executive producer' has a say in the script, so, our greedy jew spielberg had a say in it too. So don't place all the blame on Bay for lack of storytelling, blame the kike too.

  • @NeoTR u can blame Don Simpson for these movies. Read up. While he was alive these movies got made without the hammer(Spielberg). Simpson wasn't Jewish. Unlike u he wanted a big career and he got it. In show biz you make it work unless u become a prejudiced drunk like Mel Gibson who put a gun to his head after his anti Semitic remarks. The entertainment business is not for u. You're not smart enough to get out of ur own way. Stupidity like ignorance, is forever.

  • @visionjockey

dom simpson was a coke head and you can tell it in all the movies he produced

  • @SonicCrakpot Speilberg makes money on these films because his name guarantees the movie will get made. If you need that guarantee, then you pay for it. Business 101.

  • @MajicPictures Also, you've just proven how shallow people in the industry really are. Assuming I read you correctly, you said that just because Bay's fims have high production values that means that aren't crap. Um no I don't think so. I don't care how flashy the effects are or how renowned the production team is or how high the budget is, if they produce shit they produce shit be it a more expensive piece of shit. If anyone's igorant around here sunshine, it's you.

  • @SonicCrakpot That wasn't really my point, but of course the industry is shallow. That's a given, not only in film. I mis-read your first comment, thinking you were calling Bay himself crap. That is where I defend these director's, as they all have some of the best techniques and use revolutionary methods, but are often hindered by a bad screenplay. I personally wouldn't even call all of Bay's films crap, but The Island and RotF were pretty brutal.

  • @richmond436 its because jerry bruckheimer is a producer and that means he is a bussinessman thru and thru. its not out of character for him to be greedy. michael bay touts being an artist since he is a director, except for he is absolute shit, and he isn't a artist.

  • Bay scares me for one reason in this, his hair looks exactly like the way mine is right now. ARGH I'm gonna be a shitty film director!

  • I'm sure you'll be a shitty film director, regardless of what your hair looks like.

  • You must look like a faggot with that long hair

  • its just a movie-they make is seem like they are saving lives

  • Michael Bay is such an ass. He obviously has tons of talent, but he has no attachment to his films whatsoever. They're all done by committee for one purpose: maximize profits. I guess those kinds of films are necessary for the industry to survive, but it still bugs me.

  • So true. Must have been a slow week for Rose to interview Bay of all people....

  • Hey, the Rock is easily Bay's best film and it is a fantastic action film in itself and really there couldn't have been a better time to interview him. Never mind interviewing him now, what with shite films like Transformers 2 and Friday 13th.

  • Yeah, The Rock is Bay's only legitimately good film, but I tend to think it's quality had more to do with having actors like Connery, Harris, and Cage than Bay's directing. Every dog has it's day, and Bay had his when he directed The Rock.

  • @avooslwuthoqquan : so what ?

you actualy think that movies is not about making money ?

are you one of those people who believe actresses getting nake "only in a story related nudity" ? do you think it isn't about money or career move ?

  • @haroos

Read my fucking comment all the way through, moron. I know why mainstream movies are made, that doesn't mean they don't suck.

  • what a fucking joke.

  • Jerry Bruckheimer and Michael Bay are truly...................."THE MOVIE MASTERS!"

  • That's like saying milli vanilli are music masters.

  • If Ratner is like McDonalds, then Bay is like Chipotle. Its better than average stuff for the masses. Still no gourmet but a lot better than other shit directors.

  • I Love this

  • Have you seen Transformers 2 yet? Terrible. He blew it because the first one was amazing.

  • Yes, I agree. I wish they'll make another movie together; hopefully, they'll put Bad Boys 3 together after Michael will do Transformers 3. Right now, Michael claims that he and the writer, Ehren Kruger, who did the second Transformers has a good story for a third one. Not sure about the other two writers, Alex Kurtzman and Bob Orci, that they're coming back for the third one. They might do it and they won't.

  • It should have Starscream killing Megatron and less to nearly to no shots of Megan Fox's ass. I would like to see more scenes of Cybertron.

  • Did you also heard that the other two writers aren't coming back for a third one? It's a shame. They should come back.

  • Yeah. I don't blame Alex Kurtzman and Robert Orci. They finally witnessed the dark side of Bay, when he comes in and takes over the writing process.

At least now they can work on fringe and the Star Trek sequels.

Shame cuz Bay has already ruined the writing career of Randall wallace (Braveheart then Pearl Harbor).

The man has no appreciation for good movie writing. Lets hope Brian Kruger is good enough to make Transformers 3 at least enjoyable.

  • Ehren. Not Brian.

  • Doesn't matter. It's not Eric Roth or Lawrence Kasdan or Jonathan Nolan.

  • No, trip393, you are the douche

    Radioheadhead90 is right

  • Radioheadhead90=douche

  • That look on Michael Bays' face at 00:26

Pretty much sums him up, a smug twat, a complete useless vessel, in terms of modern film watch some Paul Thomas Anderson and get some culture

  • Wo, look how young Bay looks

  • These guys on fighting on the 13th

  • Cool Dudes!!
