  • @MegaAppleFritters a sophmore at my high school throws 98 mph we clocked him

  • wow

  • @MegaAppleFritters He was off by 2 km/h lol

  • @MegaAppleFritters lol im korean myself and in korean baseball leauge 96 is pretty high

  • @MegaAppleFritters 96 miles per hour is equivalent to 154 Kilometres per hours

  • its KM/PH, so its like almost half in M/PH.

  • the latin america thing is just couincedence

  • jst maybe he wold of cought the foul if his eyes were open

  • @amclraceing1 lol so racist but so funny.

  • its equivalent to 97 mph its not that special...

  • k, what the fuck is wrong with you guys -.-

i'm reading the comments, and they're all ignorant..

    a) who gives a fuck if 'omg wow i can throw like 103 mph this is nothingg' yes, because you know a pitch over 100 mph is no big deal.

    b) yes, baseball is an american sport, but why can't other nationalities play it as well?

    c) that is a pretty fast pitch, and if you guys can't appreciate it, then don't say anything. you're pissing the rest of us off.

  • @maplesyrup234 you are saying it no big deal so stfu and read you comment before k...

  • All of you guys screaming how American baseball is and blah blah Chapman need to grow a brain. He's CUBAN.

  • look at the stands they must suck!

  • it's much closer to 97 mph than 96, fyi. still meh. okay.

  • what the hell? who cares? 96mph....1/2 the pitchers in the MLB throw that fast

  • u guys are so racist. hes better than a lot of other raced players too. why do u guys only care bout america. there's other countries in this world too. 2009 korea got into finals america only made it to semi.

  • One time I pooped in the shower.

  • i guess thats high speed for korean pitchers

  • Are you guys stupid. 96MPH = 156km/h, wtf? Seriously, grow a brain and a pair of eyes.

  • 96 mph fastball

  • 156 km/hr!!!!! What the f***!!! There's high school kids that can throw that fast!!! Next time maybe show someone throwing a curveball...u know something REALLY crazy. He pitch so fast.......he like a godzilla!!!!

  • @JBugDavis MLB pitchers barely throw over 100 mph. Watch some baseball and then write a comment :)

  • @lDlEAlN really......no shit.........but high school kids CAN throw that fast ......and I'm not the one posting 96mph fastballs like it's impressive!!! That might be impressive in Japan, but in North America, its very common. You want impressive check out Aroldis Chapman.....his fastball checks in at 102 - 106mph....retard................Champman throw like a godzilla...he my number 1 favourite!!!!!

  • @JBugDavis If you're such a baseball fan, you'd know that the pitching speeds they display at ballparks are NOTORIOUS for being inflated and deflated depending on who is pitching.

He does not throw 106. Maybe high 90,s but there have been numerous articles in which they analyze the video and compare it to the inaccuracy of the pitch FX system.

96 mph fastballs ARE impressive and not everyone can throw them, not even in the MLB.

  • @ajlepisto And furthermore, his average fastball speed, again tracked by PitchFX type systems, is 97mph.

You want fast? Nolan Ryan threw recorded, 107mph with a far more sophisticated radar tracker than those handheld guns.

  • @ajlepisto So what you're saying is HIS speed may be inflated too. I watch baseball everyday and everyday I see a 96 mph fastball, and I post every 96mph fastball I see on youtube. Last nite I posted 6 in the 9th inning of a game alone... so impressive... and 2 were 98 mph!!!! OMG can u believe it. It was even the away team's pitcher so he was really throwing well over 100 I guess... I understand not everyone can throw that fast but a pro pitcher throwing that fast is not that impressive IMO

  • @JBugDavis It's very possible his speed may be inflated. It's happening less and less, but there were stories of guys who would tire late in games back in the day and the home park (if they were playing at home) would simply turn off the radar gun display so the other team had no idea.

Also, some guys talked about displaying the slower speeds because some guys throw and then look at the speed display, so teams on the road would be always getting the shaft. It's gamesmanship.

  • @JBugDavis I don't see any videos on your channel.

  • @JBugDavis Of course, if you meant Nolan Ryan's speed, it wasn't, because they didn't use PitchFX, they used a more sophisticated laser system and it was done by an outside source, not the team.

  • @ajlepisto Just google search "AZ Central radar gun brad penny" (no links here, sorry) and you can read a recent article where staff talks about how they used to tamper with the radar gun readings.

  • thats such a boring game...

  • 96 mph in mlb

  • How fast is 156 km in american?

  • @MrBballkid54 I'm sorry, I didn't know american was a unit of length.

  • dont give a hell, its not that fast.... even though i m korean

  • And Aldrois Chapman threw 105 Mph

  • @hcvideoproductions And Nolan Ryan still holds the record at 108 in the 70's.

  • @ajlepisto Nolan Ryan never hit 108 the record is Aroldis Chapmans 106 mph fastball

  • @hcvideoproductions How little you know....there was life in baseball before steriods and the modern era. The world record is still Nolan Ryan because he threw 100.9 MPH measured with lab conditions at the plate, which is WAY more accurate than using stadium supplied systems and guns. Radar guns are only as accurate as the situation they're in, which usually isn't that great. Why else do reading vary so much?

Google is your friend in cases like these.

  • @hcvideoproductions That's 106 MPH with who knows what angle the measurement was taken, at the 50 foot mark. Nolan Ryan's was taken at around 10 feet, so if you do the math, the FFE conversion on Ryan's pitch was 108.1 mph at the 50 foot mark. In the 70's. With a far more accurate setting and system.

  • @hcvideoproductions yeah, nolan ryan hit 104 something i think

  • stupid koreans

  • @hyobin0114 hey boy stfu

  • I might have been impressed if I knew how fast that was. Guess we'll never know...

  • This is fast to the Jap's? Wow, Baseball is truly an AMERICAN sport.

  • @Lozarking

I'm a white dude, but what he threw was 97 mph. Thats pretty fast taking into account how fat we are and thin they are. I heard they don't weight lift neither.

  • @Lozarking

Also, this is Korean baseball, but the Japanese have proven they can beat the Americans as proven by the baseball World classic. Also, I think Ichiro is the best lead-off hitter ever and Godzilla (Matsui) has incredible strength.

  • @Lozarking truly an American sport indeed. 2006 1st Japan 2nd Cuba 3rd Korea. 2009 1st Japan 2nd Korea 3rd Venezuela. and don't pull the US didn't send all their top players. Some of these countries had amateur players. but i do know that basketball is definitely an American sport. Oh don't forget NASCAR.

  • @KLucifer If you truly knew baseball you would know that shaving a slump is part of baseball just because America did not do well for 1 year does not mean anything Ups and Downs are a part of baseball

and please look up the definition of amateur all olympic players are paid so they are not amateurs, all countries sent their best players some just performed better and others less so, but what makes baseball so great is races have an ability to be good it is just the matter of time and effort

  • @dudrhkd7 if you truly knew why i said it you would not have had to reply. and yes i know about baseball. been playing my whole life since i was 8 and still playing. i've had slumps myself as well but that is not the point here. it was more of a reply to his trolling.

    .

  • @KLucifer dude baseball is still an American game.....just because Japan won the world baseball classic(s) don't mean shit except they can put together a great team(role players/stars).......to make a comparison, let the Americans field 7 or 8 teams and they would all have a legitimate shot at winning. Japan couldn't even field 2 legitimate teams. There is reason 70% of MLB players are American.

  • @KLucifer dude... you do realize that the classic is an exhibition series.. like a pro will want to proceed and risk injury on a series like that when they maake millioons of dollars here.. their have been less than 5 that can accuatley play in america and make a name for them selves.. record book type numbers and ichiro doesnt count.. so before you say baseball isint americas past time. ill show you history books of this sports. AMERICAS PASTTIME

  • @boombox1977 aroldis chapman. i'm no reds fan but... aroldis chapman. X]

  • Zumaya, Chapman and Strassburg:ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

  • 2:39-2:59

  • @johndaflusha now we all know that's a total bull shit, fuck off you retard.

  • @koreanman113 The guy throws only like 60mph. Its not that hard to accomplish.

  • @johndaflusha If you are talking about the guy in this video you are retarded, and American to mess up your Miles and Kilometres...

  • Fuck this GOOK!

  • @StopIllegalAliens01 asshole go fauk a donkey u redneck

  • a 97 mph heater. congrats. cuz ive never seen that before

  • uh...that's not even a 100MPH fastball...it's certainly not 156MPH! Units folks...units...

But for Japanese baseball (I lived there a couple years) a 98MPH is rare to find even in the pros. Many power pitchers and hitters in that league are foreigners who couldn't make or stay in MLB...

  • @Nerrt45 It's not Japanese baseball. It's Korean.

  • theres no wayy.....

  • Haha i can throw my changeup that fast. Terrible. -.- AND IM 12!!

  • @johndaflusha total bullshit haha

  • @XtremeCao im talkin about when the guy throws lol. Thats about how fast i throw :)

  • @johndaflusha and I'm 7 feet tall, run a 1 minute mile, and I'm married to megan fox, 27 kids. Oh, and i can throw a knuckle ball 120 mph.

    AND IM 15!!!!!

  • @hcvideoproductions How about get a life and stop ranting? I can actually throw a baseball. You probably can't throw a strike.

  • @johndaflusha u can't throw a change up 97 mph. And I'm most likely way better at pitching than you. I play AAA Gold Glove. And I'm going for C team baseball (C-team is the best you can get, it's varsity) next year for my freshman year.

  • stephen strasburg of the washington nationals of the mlb reaches 165km/h

  • @arthurjba not anymore

  • @rzombie22 haha well said, not anymore

  • There, don't even swing he'll make you look like retard, just take and hope he walks you

  • I notice some people make ignorant and racist comments. Some of our best players in the US come from Asia. Don't we forget that the US has not fared so well in the last two baseball classics. Ball players are ball players. I love that the game is played abroad and enjoyed abroad.

  • @3613baseball

Although that is true, the best of USA players don't go because of contracts/fear of injury etc.

That is one heater though :O

  • @3613baseball do u wanna know why us doesnt do well? because all of the diff people go back to there own countries, like arod goes to dominicana, ichiro goes to japan, so its really just like jeter and some other white people on the team

  • @tehclevelandshow ....what?

  • @3613baseball True..........there is about 10 good asian players.......best example is Daisuke Matsuzaka......he is the greatest Jap pitcher ever.....oh wait I forgot he was only good for a season and a half and now he's done.....well at least there is Ichiro and Choo and Godzilla....that only makes 3 asians u silly willyLIAR

  • It's not just asia too! Most of the best in the MLB in the past 2 decades are from Latin America! Jose Bautista, Manny Ramierez, David Ortiz, Carlos Beltran, Felix Hernandez, Nunez, Ivan Rodriguez, Jair Jurrjens...

  • @3613baseball thats because the pro players dont play in the classic. it is a bunch of college guys

  • @kjdlbj23 you must have not been alive for the first classic when people like jeter, arod, chipper, langoria, peavy, oswalt, youkilis and a few other "college" guys played and were outplayed by "nobodies" from S. Korea, Japan (wow am I naming asian countries so far) and mexico got in on the fun (and they play soccer)...dont bash other teams without getting your facts straight

  • Comment removed

  • @MrHurricanes3 im sorry to interrupt but can u atleast think of "nobodies" as people? cuz without the

"nobodies" id like to see you try making clothes, entertainments, and others that we need in life. Honestly speaking this is why people around the world dont move to america these days cuz of people like you that think that we're "nobody"

  • ive seen zumaya in person he gasses it faster strasburg for being 21 thats serious heat this is like an average americain pitcher

  • @TyPieratt2 GO USA

  • try stephen strasburg (103 mph tops) and ubaldo jimenez (99 mph avg) in america, thats fast, stupid japanese

  • @sharkfitz

fuck you, that's korean you ignorant asshole.

Your comparing to one of the best drafts. This is just one pitcher in Korea.

  • Try beating Strassburgs 103 mph, fastball!

  • 156 km/hr is 96.9384 miles per hour so its not as fast as the title says so shut up

  • When he throws over 160 kph post it. Until then, as others have said, he is nothing special.

  • weak

  • 156 KPH is JUST under 97 MPH. So be generous and say 97 MPH, which is good, but not special. The title makes it sound like this guy is throwing 103 MPH or something.

  • 156km is like 98mph

  • Korean Nolyn Ryan :D ???

  • @Yourmomism not even close. Nolan Ryan was throwing 3-5 MPH faster than this guy consistently into his mid-40's. There are dozens of Major League pitchers right now with the level of fastball this guy is throwing.

  • @Yourmomism Nolan Ryan threw 3-5 MPH faster than this guy. He's a Korean Roger Clemens.

  • Do they have to run the bases backwards? Lmfao

  • Bull Shit!

  • lmfao at :20

got a full house right there

  • Is this healthy?

  • to all the dumbfucks below saying 96-97mph isn't fast, you shitbags need to get your fucking eyes checked... look which arm he uses to throw...yeah thats right, HE"S A FUCKING LEFTY...anything over 95 is considered fast for a lefty..the current lefty record is ONLY 100mph set by Nolan Ryan so STFU..

  • randy johnson also threw 101 or 102 mph on record but hes fucking tall and has fucking long arms so it's easier for him to throw faster balls...for a lefty not as tall as RJ to throw 96-97mph is still amazing.. so you can still stfu

  • @chagechan1 nolan ryan was right handed...

  • @chagechan1 nolan ryan was right handed.....

  • @chagechan1 ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahah way to sound creible you little fucking jackass

  • Noranzzi waat??

  • FUCK YOU

  • booooooooooring

  • yeah korea

  • @TheOtakuanimefreak how many dogs you eat daily? i would like to try

    you can cook my dog

  • at 2:42 156km. 149~154km before that pitch.

  • what was the fastes throw ever :-?

  • @MistaArni

    nolan ryan: 106mph

  • This is 96MPH. Fail.

  • @artifice1112

    96 mph ~ 153 km/h.

  • @artifice1112 I still want to spam your old comment. You said fail for no reason. which is a fail

  • @supah1337B ur a fail haha jkjk 96 isnt that fast for a pro over here

  • @zxwater Well it was fast to whoever uploaded this video haha. Its not a fail, I honestly don't see it. But Japanese are good, I've seen a video of someone throwing at 100+

  • @artifice1112

    are u like a human speedometer o.o?

  • @artifice1112 96MPH = 156KM/H fucking genius

  • @artifice1112 How fast do you throw?

  • @heyyyyyynow Only fast enough to make a shitty youtube video. Kind of like this one.

  • o.O Japanese baseball player are not to be fucked with

  • @ELNENE000222 This is korean

  • Where are all the spectators? lol

  • That would be Kwon Hyuk, not "Hyeok"

  • @fanmanabc

But it is straight arm bowling. Yes there is a run up and most people jump but their arm is straight and it does bounce.

Other than that I like the Santana playing =)

  • Yeah, i noticed that too :D

  • this is crap. in cricket the fastest ball ever is over 160 kph, and another thing is that in cricket the ball has to bounce so that takes more pace off it! oh and trowing is not allowed

  • @thai258

im no expert at cricket or anything but arent you allowed to have a running start before u throw the ball? and dont they jump a bit too?

  • @fanmanabc yes they are , but it has been proven that the run up and jump provide negligible impetus to the momentum of the ball in fact the current fastest bowler in the world shaun tait just jogs up to the crease and delivers the ball between 150 and 160 kph easily

  • It's 98 mph

  • well 132kph is about 70-75mph so figure it out :D

  • 156 km = ...mph??

  • do the conversion yourself, lazy sob

  • @DrPowerBoy about 96mph or so... close to 97mph..

  • @DrPowerBoy about 97to 98 mph

  • first japanese ball player with semi normal pitching style

  • @soxnpats4lyfe they are not even japanese .they are koreans.

  • same people different issues a 97 mph fastball nolan ryan is laughing his ass off

  • @blue2cat

    lol, yeah, soxnpats4lyfe fails xD

  • Love a good fastball. But like any pitch if it is placed wrong it will be crushed. But he mixed location and pitch type well to get the K's here. Check out around 1:04 on the video.

  • Jaime Moyer is and was an incredible pitcher, and his fastball is the slowest in MLB history. Pitching is like Real Estate. Location, Location, Location. Changing speeds and locating your pitches

  • heh, mid 80s is all I used to be able to throw... wasn't that great, although I did play Canadian university baseball! :D

  • lucii is a dumb faggot retard...it probably takes the ball 100 seconds to get to the plate....

  • hey dude .. i make baseball for about 7 years :) so .. i think i can throw veeery far:) not like the stars.. but for my age.. :)

  • I think you throw as bad as your second sentence...

  • hey dude i'm from romania.. so i don't so better to speak english .. let me see you speak romanian :)

  • You being romanian is proof that you cant throw 100 mph...

  • if u say so ..:)

  • llol hilarious
