  • If you read Aghora by Svoboda you will see Vimalananda says it is an exceedingly difficult and dangerous path to follow. The results come quickly but the obstacles and temptations are too great for the average person to overcome. Only those with a certain karmic destiny to succeed in this sadhana will achieve the goal through it. Others who try will meet ruin.

  • The Guru is a crook. The lifestyle is downright nasty. This bum needs help.

This video romanticizes misery and superstition.

At the end of the day, no right thinking person will live in a cremation site eating human flesh and faeces.

The only right thinking person in this entire clip is his Dad.

  • I dont believe in what Satyanarain, guru of Ramnath, says. Satyanarain himself lives in luxury and is a building contractor by profession, so mostly must be making money, and he chides Ramnath for just visiting his mom.

  • True, this world is enough for everyone's need but not for everyone's greed. Thanks. Great documentary! To imagine that any human can live on so little, opens my eyes. My problems seem so petty. The world's problem could be solved with this approach.

  • Chutia kaata hai achcha saala

  • What a waste of life and perhaps a mind that could have contributed some thing constructive to the society on a whole. One life lost to the crematory grounds.

  • I don't understand what it was that caused his guru to day "he disobeyed me." I don't see Baba manifesting his ego. I don't get it at all.

  • Very interesting docu thanks! That's what I love about Sanatan Dharma. Many paths that lead to Moksha. A seeker will be attracted to the path that is right for him/her, according to karma, psychology and spiritual progress already gained in past lives. JAI SHIV!

  • All Respects to Baba Ramnath......I think He HAS DEFINITELY NOT STRAYED from the path.......Tantra is the rebel's path.....It is ones OWN path.....As long as one stays aware.....and he is...He is moving towards the Ultimate Liberation. Sahaja, simplicity....indulgence with awareness....the middle path....That is Tantra......transcending both discipline and non discipline...Ramnath ji is a very respectable Sadhu.....May Lord Shiva soon take him into himself....|| Om Namo Bhagavate Rudraya ||

  • I respect Ramnath but his guru seems to be an abusive or exploitative person.

  • One own spiritual journey is always long and harsh.

  • no guilt no shame matter what a soul's path, rich or poor, religious or no, devoted or no, i am who i am and that's all i can be

  • Wish I could know how he is doing now. I dont know if its laziness that propelled him or if he is really searching for something with in ... and is searching it in every aspect of life. Whatever that he is searching for, may God bless him with it.

  • Just to say that I really enjoyed this documentary, now that finally I was able to see it in full length. Thank you for uploading. Extreme is always a good path to choose. Do or die, in this case...

    cheers

  • An accomplished Aghori through their tantric practise can covert one matter to another. But this Aghori is not ordinary it seems as he is very learnt too and knows the basic fundamental of what goodness means. More importantly he has sacrificed everything, attachment is basically a mental process rather then just physical. A person can live in the world and yet be totally unattached.

    May Lord Shiva Bless all.

  • This was such a great film! Thanks for uploading!

Soo much beauty in soo much "crazyness"...

    Powerful stuff. <3

  • @RpgMakerVXTutor satan has many names. he is defined by the things people do. he might not be called satan in that religon.

  • I am feeling very BAD that He is searching for thing which does not exists and He will not get anything from doing this.

  • A mother's love is the real love in this world!.....One should always respect his/mother !

  • The kind of HIndi spoken by Ramnathjis father shows that he comes from a educated family !

  • I wonder how this man is doing now.

  • I am taking Refuge in Buddha, Dharma & Sangha of Buddhas and Bodhisatvas. My Teacher and Protector, Avalokitesvara-Mahakala is enough for myself. Every morning I get up and greet a new day with peace and enjoyment. I eat, shit and sleep without a hindrance. I am happy, watching blue sky and round face of the moon. Peace and contentment are my good friends.

Aghori Man has great renunciation and underwent many sacrifaces for His God and Friend, Lord Shiva. He'll get help from Shiva soon, I hope.

  • This is the scum of the earth. This poor boy has been sucked into a trap of the devil. His master preyed upon his youthful weakness and used/abused his position of so called faith. This is satanism in true form.He goes into demonic possession at one point during this movie and starts calling out mother. He beleive he visioned hell and was there for a second. That is the part where he asked for water. He then later visits his family becuase he knows in his heart this is not good but he cant define

  • @JCI1990

it's not satanism, it's hinduism. moron

  • PEOPLE PLZ VOTE -----------AGHORI VS PROPHET MOHAMAD(SAWW)pbuh OF IZLAM ALLA -----WHO S WORST ?

  • THIS IS LAZINESS

  • He has surpassed the rituals, and instead has become them. Compassion is the true nature of the soul, the ego and mind gives rise to other emotions which cloud one's judgment. Once you reach this point, you (the self) have complete control over what your human experience is like. You transcend that of the regular ritualistic human and become a walking deity. Because of his still human form, it would be difficult to be exactly alike a deity, though the atmosphere is there. Just like the Buddha.

  • I watched all 6 episodes, kept me glued upon each one but I did not understand in the end why his Guru was not happy with him?

  • @mediawatchable because he visited his family

  • The best thing to do is what makes you happy... and not to be afraid of having few money, because whe don't need so many things we think we need.

  • They dont smoke charras?i thought they are sadhus...:-)

  • what is wrong is wrong, plain and straight, no matter how many points of view there are. hinduism is complete confusion even to the hindus. a friend of mine suggested to me that it's not possible for one god to control everything in this universe that's why there are so many gods. aghoris seem think differently.

  • @muchchadbaba Hinduism/Buddhism is not about Control it is philosophy of living and that is why it is not seen as a religion by some philosophers and scientists where as other religions it starts from control and ends in control particularly in Islam, then see what Islamic control in last 1400 yrs has done through out its history as they had do everything possible by any force to Convert people into Islam if not kill them and that isthe production of control Surely India has been victim to that

  • very sad to see how religions and cultures make poeple do disgusting things in the name of God.... and his family is paying the price of this basurd sect. even if he says he is happy with what he does... he is simply lying, none can be happy living this type of life.. far from his love ones, eating dead poeple, and covered his body with ashes of death.. this is sick. while some are killing each other in the name of God other are eating death. and people see these behaviors normal. what's wrong?

  • @Satwik08 he is doing what he believes, and it makes him happy everyday. Did you not watch the documentary? You can't live a life like that if you hate it. You can't even be "ok" with it. You have to fucking love every second of it to be able to live like that. No one can even comprehend that guy's life. I mean according to him, everything is perfect and a reflection of god, like everything, even stuff we think is evil and wrong. from what I understood from watching it.

  • @cadburycaramel yeah right!! take your lecture back. don't be fool this is disgusting. now day poeple call what the wrong right and the right wrong.... the whole world is up side down. what can we spect from this type of societies? anyways!!.. lets him enjoy a piece of death.... he wants to be scavenger in the name of god.... let him enjoy. why don't you join him?

  • @Satwik08 lol now your just being an internet troll. He love what he's doing, being closer to god. He has a goal and purpose in life and he is afraid of nothing. His whole life is an incredible spiritual journey! even people around him love him, and he causes no harm to anyone. And you just write him off as a freak. Morality is in the eye of the beholder, what you think is wrong, many other people will think is right. It is a religious sect thousands of years old and what u write is insulting.

  • @cadburycaramel we are not talking about wine the older the better.this sect can be millions years old.. what is wrong is wrong. anyone with rational thinking will find this digusting and sick, if thats insulting for you so sad to tell you that insulting is what this sect is making these people to do. forcing them to leave their families when family is the most important thing humans have in life. why people have to do irrational things to find spirituality? if my word are insulting don't reply

  • @Satwik08 In his culture, he is revered and respected by hindu people... you think the most important thing in life is family, he thinks the most important thing is being liberated from the cycle of reincarnation. Two different cultures, two different views, both valid. What's wrong is wrong? How did you learn what was right and wrong? What you think is irrational, some people think it makes perfect sense! Your a narrow minded child, grow up and mature a little bit.Look at different perspectives

  • @cadburycaramel me?narrow minded child?since when?lol. not every hindu sees this sect as respecful thing. who told you tha reincarnation is real? has anynone came back and told you about it? and if family was not that imporant in human life why kids who were abandoned by their parents grow up with so much emotional problems?ohh i forgot thats karma. as human being if your family does not mean anything to you is very sad. thats why we're what we're as sociaty we've lost the meaning of family.

  • One thing I wanna add to this...the reason of Ramnath being such a simple being has also to do with his family....his father a simpleton journalist n a mother who is such a self-explanatory "HOLY COW"......

  • most "superstitious" and fatal and bad religion of universe is which this person is folowing!!!!!

  • i agree with his guru.. hes suppose to be a ghoul that lives in cemetaries, eating the dead and scaring people...he shouldnt be pimping hookers, or going and hanging out with his family...geesh..

  • This man is in the true path and what ever teachings that comes with rules and organization will never lead to god because it is religion. remember budhism hinduism islam are all terms created by followers in to make other people follow them it is not a religion it is a way of life. even though he is in a cremation he still have an attachment to the cow birds and all living things and that can be never vanquished the best form of detachment is showing love and respect to all living beings.

  • For an aghori, it's okay to kill. It's okay to lust and be mad about lust. He lives with death... Death is a transformer. Aghoris have desires too... It's in every living being's innate desire. You can't call desire for lust as non righteous and desire for God as righteous.

An aghori tries to find GOD in everything he does and exploring what is taboo... That's their source of power.

  • Those who say that Ramnath's deviated from the path are talking without understanding the real meaning of an Aghori. Even his guru is a lame poser... He's lived 20 yrs as an aghori and is living a normal life now with a family(LAME). IT's JUST NOT POSSIBLE. You'll just want to live the GOD's way like Ramnath is.

Aghori's life is all about following what is outside the normal. Whatever is taboo, you break. It's almost like a rebel but it's different. You do it in seek of GOD.

  • @affbully This is nonsense. You cannot just do whatever you like. Not even in Aghor Panth. Sri Mahesvara will hammer you. lol. He loves discipline and most importantly, He loves devotion. Such entertainment of whims and desires is NOT devotion.

  • I watched all the parts. From what they are showing, i think that Ramnath has been deviated from his mission. The way he visited red light area(Lust) and his family (Attachment). One point he nearly had his tears seeing his family. It really questions his strength of spirituality. His guru may be right.

  • jai shiv Ramnath

Ramnath has a lot of wisdom!

  • WOW! real good documentry.. wonder wat happens to Ramnath.. wat the guru said scares me.. really siddhis are like weapons, like atomic power it may serve for constructive purpose r destructive.

  • and the best part is that when I see the comments .. I find my kind of ppl... who ever has seen this documentary... some or other way.. v all r same... no matter where do we stay.. or which religion we follow... Thanks 2 All :)

  • Now this is what I call a perfect documentary.. after watching 6 parts.. I feel like I know Ramnath very well. and might never 4get him through out my life... About his master.. i feel that his master was rite... he has spent his time and straight on ramnath.. and ramnath went to meet his family..... If any one can become aghore while staying with the family then there was no need to go through all this thing... still... loved this documentary

  • Thanks for posting this gem of a video. I have nothing but respect for these . Like most I did not know much about Aghoris ... heard some weird stories ... this sadhana is noless than climbing mt.Everest.

Thanks and god bless all and their ways however crazy it feels for others who do not understand it.

  • His guru is full of shit! By his very disobedience to his 'teacher' and thumbing his nose at the traditional cutting off from family his enlightenment is furthered. Obviously his guru can't handle the rigors of mundane life and needs to head back to the cremation grounds himself.

  • It is fascinating to see spiritual practices from the time of Cannibalism surviving in a culture that has been vegetarian since before the Greeks had cites. The English were still head hunters and Cannibals when the Romans encountered them. China, Egypt, and India are the oldest cultures and their is much to learn from them still. Attachment to customs of any sort, is still attachment this is truly a difficult path! Being new or old dose not make something better.

  • Loved it thank you

  • I watched all six parts, Thanks for posting. The ending was little bit strange because Ramnath crossed from guru's wish.

  • dumb hippies.

  • These people live in such modesty. And here i am, complaining i dont have enough shoes and dresses, and my hair is not done right, my food is not done right, the airconditioner isnt cool enough. To have ramnath's discipline is a great thing. This is a great documentary. Thanks.

  • @diehardist Ah c'mmon, give me a break -_-

  • There are Aghoris. They exist in every society under different name and form. As long as the cause no harm it isn't anybodies business to judge them but this kid Ramnath isn't one of them, he just hasn't realised it yet.

  • I liked the "gurus" face - one look at his eyes and body language and the first thing comes to mind is "fake", "creep" and simply "dishonest".

There are intelligent ppl in the world and there are clever ppl - unfortunatly for him, Ramnath belongs to the first and those are the ones most suseptible to crooks and religious frauds.

  • No Guru is required, when guru in himself flowers out..may ramnath gets wat he wants..never alter his path...In the name of God...Peace to all creation..

    Jai bhajjrangg bali..

  • i like him. he is true.

  • @kolicurry24

Did india find the god or india is still running. Im an indian and feel sorry for this guy.

  • @LingaShaved Why you should free sorry for this being, who is in the path of self realisation. I feel sorry me and you who are trapped in this material world full of lust, greed and selfishness.

  • there are few aghory in india and lot of sharlatan sadhus and would be wrong religious guys.

Deep in himself he would like to live with his family ,but something is distracting him !

is he trying to be the hardman? ( he always wanted to do hard things ).

ya ! some souls just love to live alone despite affection for family ,soe thing went wrong or is wrongly diposed inside, maybe !

  • 1:36 way to go

  • Dont talk with me.I dont want to talk with psyco and dumb.Because of people like u ,all laugh at India.

  • These devoted people need to know the truth about GOD and HIS divine nature. Only truth can set them free from these illusions they are indulging themselves in and give them life which is meaningful. We are all GOD's children and these lost brothers are not living the life in search of true and ONLY GOD. May the LIVING GOD's enlightenment be on them today and bring them out from the bondage of slavery to illusions they are seeking.

  • @SirenHaiyo How do you know what is the truth?

  • in the west, we are kept away from death, yet we will meet death, we could grow so much from meeting death during life.

To me the west is truly primitive and poor in spirit

  • his father seems to be very learned and sensible... his language reflects it... not to say that ramnath is any less... he definitely is a sharp and logical person... well, whatever makes him happy...

  • While other nations run after name, fame, money and lust, India is the only nation that has run after God from time immemorial. India has experimented with a multitude of ways of finding the Divine. The Aghori path is just another way. It is definitely not for the faint-hearted. I bow down to this soul, who has left everything behind in search of God. What could be grander than this ? He is a true hero in every sense of the word. JAI HIND

  • @kolicurry24 yes but would you like him rubbing your ashes ALL over his body?

  • why the hindus are so greedy for jewelery and money then ?!

India has 1.4 Billion people and many are poor and still look for money and life !

so stop spilling these empty slogans.

  • I truly respect this man.

  • From watching the film, why does his "guru" get to be clean shaven and live in a house and most likely has family? I realy admire this young mans devotion to his faith.. as it should be, to only seek god..the path of denial of the material is a hard one to take... i wonder if the man is still wandering cremation grounds.

  • It's based on what kind of guru he is.Certain gurus have family and even the pupil lives with them to serve his guru in exchange for knowledge and guidiance.

  • To me it seemed like his guru was stringing Ramnath along the entire time and taking advantage of his devotion by getting him to do these insane tasks. All while living like a king receiving praise and riches for tricking people into believing he has magical powers. And as soon as he gets the chance he just drops Ramnath back on his own aimless wandering.

I respect his devotion and he's probably better off without the guru, but I feel sorry for him for allowing himself to be taken advantage of

  • @realistromeo his guru appeared to have a beard-not clean shaven, do you mean clean beard? bit of a shame how his guru wasnt happy with him, nor was his dad, maybe thats the sign of a true believer?

  • true baba

  • no one is to judge others.

  • I was just agreeing with his father's comment. I'm not judging anyone.... it's my own view with this abomination.

  • "abomination" is a moralism with no place or meaning within an aghori's mind. break the opposites, transcend maya.

  • thank you for uploading

  • is a cow Aghori becouse every cremation ground have cows...........lol..he..he...

  • Same as disaffected europeans who become extremist born-again Christians and break with their families, or young Muslims who become fundamentalist extremists.I can inderstand why many people feel a need for spiritual fulfilment, but the most interesting point for me was why a young man from a "spiritual" country lik e India still feels drawn to such an extreme way of life.

  • While his practices may be rather "gross", I hardly see him inflicting harm on anyone but himself. Therefore I don't really consider him or the other remaining Aghori to be on the same level as Wahabists or the bible belt right wing terrorists so prevalent in the U.S. these days

  • Well, as a westerner, I can only say that things are the same the world over ... bright kid from educated family (who would like him to enter a conventional proffession) has mental/spiritual issues and joins extremist sect. Right down to the "guru" who insisted he should break all ties with his family.

  • this is a sect which dates back several centuries, it is hardly a cult, and in traditional practice, holy men of India typically do break all ties with family members. An individual who decides to enter into life as a Sadhu is even considered legally dead in India. As for the Guru, it is hardly practical to learn very advanced and difficult spiritual practices without the assistance of an outside party.

  • i respect you man.....ill achieve ur mind state....soon one day.....and tat is a definite....with samis grace..

  • amazing!!

  • I don't know excessively too much about it. But from how much as I know about it, Aghori Vimalananda kept on living with his daughter Roshni and kept on touch with their living relatives. And I feel to trust Vimalananda more than this guru in the footages.

  • the eyes of his guru, when he says:may god save him from darkness! It would have been easier to break with the family and not to face all these emotions and binding afffections again. We have a fairytale in Germany, called translated "the devil´s ashsmeared brother",where a man makes a contract with the devil to live similar an Aghori for 7 years and get rewarded after this period,if he stands it. It is highest devotion to Shiva, not asking or expecting any reward/ magical powers.Very impressive.

  • Ramnath has surpassed the wisdom of his guru. Hence he can visit his family and still maintain the detached form of love that is the highest form of non-dualism or advaitism. The inability of his one-time guru to understand him now is akin to the inability of the fellow sadhaks of the Buddha to understand him when he moved beyond their ritualistic self-deprivations. Ramnath, like the Buddha, is gradually moving beyond the ritual towards the essential.

  • Very good comment.

  • I don't understand what you mean by "detached form of love". Ramnath cries when hes back with his family, I feel that is due to him simply missing his family, sure you can use it as an excuse and if you use it in such a way it can still fit in with aghori teaching, but I think he was simply missing his family.

  • Comment removed

  • The way I see it, Ramnath for a moment, was overwhelmed by the human feelings, as he had remained aloof from his family for 12 long years, doing his sadhana. As soon as Ramnath realizes this, he controls himself almost immediately. It is not easy to snap ties from one's own family. After all, why do we expect Ramnath not to show any emotion, even though he is a human being like us? How many of us can actually detach ourselves from our own selfish, greedy and materialistic desires?

  • He should be respected because he has beaten all of us when it comes to materialism. However, after doing all of this, he should not have gone back to his family. I understand what you might be feeling, but "Moksha" is something that requires the extreme level of discipline. Maybe he realised this later, or not. The very meaning of enlightment is complete freedom from materialism. He made very small mistakes, but he did them. My guess is there are only a dozen or so genuine Aghori's out there.

  • its not about being Aghori, its about being Human

  • What nonsense u r talking about. Can u please tell me what benifit he got,or what good he does for this world. This is simply a madness.Eating flesh ,shit and doing such things ,what is so great there?

  • from the Hindu perspective the world is ultimately a trap. From an Aghori perspective, conventional good and evil concepts are nothing but illusion. Therefore, systematic violation of taboo has spiritual value, as does retraining of the mind to overcome fear and pre-conception which keep one's spirit anchored in the cycle of death and rebirth

  • Self is illusion. Society is a trap. The objective is liberation from this world, from the prison of the flesh, and from the cycle of rebirth and death. Therefore, human flesh may as well be chicken. It does not matter.

  • you keep coming back to express your displeasure with his lifestyle. just close the internet and walk away already. jeez. if you cant handle it, look the other way.

  • if youre not interested, why post?

  • he is not harming himself.

  • I think you are right. he is still in love of his family and why shouldn't he be. Only an animal can forget the mother who gave birth to him. As far as I know Shiva is the most understood GOD of all the Demigods in India.

  • @geodesicks i m totally agree wit u

  • शान्ति र्भवतु |

  • tohre koi keeda kaatis hai kaa?

  • this documentary was soo riveting .. thnx

  • these are fantastic videos,

  • I didn't like the fact that his guru did not want him to meet his family, but Ramnath is very intelligent and he is beyond his guru in terms of wisdom.

Hope he is content wherever he is!

    Jai Shiv Shankar!

    Jai Bholenath!

  • @termigator1013

When he has regarded him as Guru, he should obey him...

If he keeps meeting his family, how can he detach himself from world and attain Moksha?

  • @termigator1013 its not the matter of intelligence..its matter of respecting the guru not obeying guru is considered to be not respecting him which i think ramnath should not have done, ,,

  • it is typical human behavior to diss other to make self look superior in others eye...so it really doesnt what you or i think about your or my religion...the world will not stop for one.

  • what an idiot you are by saying you live your life the way you want....doesnt this guy also living his life the way HE WANT. moron.

  • join in to your terrorist religion? NO thanks! islam is the worst religion that cannot live peacefully with others. does your only god (allah) is a looser? why does he need to convert others?

  • aghori is an entirely different sect, we have no right to criticize their judgements if we cannot understand their true meaning of existance, In fact its not easily understandable by all...

  • There is nothing like a mother lovingly cooking food for her child. I wish our lives were really that simple. Chasing our material dreams, we often forget about tender human relationships. This a wonderful video, thanks for posting.

  • Om Namah Shivaya

  • To be religoius and close to god you dont need to leave all lifes pleasures and cut yourself of from the world.

All religions give us teachings on how to live a life of peace and happiness

No religion says u should leave everything behind and forget

this ''aghori cult'' in india may belive that this is the way but

    eating dead bodies ?

cum on seems a lil much dont u think

  • i think people need to really find a solid religion which has not been tarnished by god knows how many people

the hindu religion is so old stories mantras ect.. most been past down through word of mouth

now think haw many people would have changed the religion to suit them

    just think ..

  • maybe the ultimate truth of all religions isn't one answer. it can be many. such as the path of the aghori.

  • forget it... even ravana.. who was the biggest devotee of lord shiva but was rakshas(demon), and used to worship the destructive nature of shiva never followed aghori and was a pure vegetarian. no where in hindu religious books are there mention of any hindu eating meat, forget dead body! this is a wrong interpretation of Hinduism.. this saadhu says that if someone can eat chicken then he can eat human flesh also.. excuse me... but eating bird flesh is also against Hinduism

  • im pretty sure that its only beef that is STRICTLY prohibited.... also how do you explain MCDONALDS that exists in india...oh and btw they dont serve beef only chicken patties...

  • theres NOTHING "just too much" in order to get closer to god. and theres no final word or best path to reach this destiny.

  • Thanks for posting very enlightening.

  • And yeah become mujhahideen and start killing shia and sunni or any any innocent who crosses your path

  • Jihad in Islam is to struggle against the lusts of the soul and also to struggle to keep justice and peace. It is not to kill innocent people. Do not believe all you hear in the news. There is a secret war going on.

  • Knowledgeable video..!! amazin

    thnks

  • I know that, this video is looked from different angles by different category of people. Anybody who has heard of Lord SHIVA can understand this better...

For rest of the people, It'd be a little tough...because they don't know the truth and reality of the world...who is lord SHIVA.

    ||Om Namah Shivay||

  • Thanks a lot for posting one of the great documentaries.

    May lord shiva bless all...

    Har Har Mahadev

  • More ! More ! Do these intiations involve psychoactive foods ? Are the rudraksha seeds crushed for an oil ? I know the marigolds are made into a schnapps. The cow dung is burned for methane gas trance. What about the clove ?

  • cool! very cool video)))teacher....

  • i Respect (RAM) his wish, may lord Siva blesses him.

thank you very much for the wonderful documentary. amazing.

  • That Aghori has surpassed his teacher. The teacher fails to understand that attachment to customs of any sort, is still attachment. To stick to detachment from family or any other taboo is to be attached to the very taboo but in the opposite extreme. Once this is understood, one is free from all ritual and dogma. The student surpassed the teacher.

  • Thanks for putting up this great video.

  • amazing video.. thanks

  • i saw this tribe on jackass, had to youtube this shit fo realioz

  • Yeah me too. Actually, Jackass made me want to learn more about the Aghori.

  • I thought it was a horrible video, until I saw the part where the baba was sitting in front of the fire, and started hitting it repeatably without even flinching, then steve-o starts to all confident, and can't and says 'ow' after a few half-assed hits, then the baba says, "ow?" like he doesn't understand what the pain is. I love it.

  • OM NAMAH SHIVAYA!
