  • really great video, it was very helpful. I ran over my iPod Classic with a lawnmower and the screen is really barely damaged and I can no longer see what I am doing, like if I want to listen to music I had no idea what i am clicking on. the screen is just black and cracked. Hope that I can fix it, but this video was very helpful.

  • I replaced my battery and screen because my screen cracked and battery was shit. But i left my ipod for a while went back and ended up f*cking up the bottom right chip. So now it is useless i wish i had seen this video 2 years ago would have sorted it. But now i have to get a psp charger and use my psp as a media player but the music level is quite low so i will have to use that. Until I get a new I pod sad times ahead no music :(.

  • Thanks this really helped but I just used the soft tools to get a gap open enough then used the flat tip. The soft tool wouldn't budge it. Replaced my cracked screen it's like new low, appreciate it!

  • my soft tools are just rounding off when trying to remove the cover. any tips?

  • Cool

  • oh, they actually have a hard drive in them

  • thank you

  • Thanks for the vid, it's really helpful!

I'm planning to install a CF card in my iPod 5G, does anyone think I shouldn't do it because it could screw up my whole iPod? Please let me know and be so kind to tell me why.

  • What if it stays on the apple logo after I open it. Then whay

  • I removed the battery cable as you described, it popped out but has no way of connecting back up again. I intended to remove the harddrive which I have now done. However, the ipod will no longer charge...presumably because of this disconnected cable...any idea how to fix it back on? The cable feeds into a small white piece which has slipped of the cable and will not click back onto the ipod. Any advice? Cheers.

  • Thanks for the help man!

  • How the f**k do you get the back off. i have been going for about an hour and mine just won't budge. I have gone through 2 soft tools and the tips of one is actuely stuck in the side of my ipod and it still isn't coming apart? Is it a hard to imposssible the first time? do you have to do a magical dance first? or is there something your not telling?

  • Thanks for your tuto... today I could fix my iPod classic and replace the display too!

EXCELLENT.... add me on my TT account @el_sapo_lambon

  • Im still a little in shock, but I just fixed my own Ipod! Thanks to your really informative opening for the little things I didn't know about. I have been living with the white screen of death for literally almost a year after I dropped it very hard on a treadmill but I popped the thing open, wiggled the screen connector, and presto! The only slight damage was to my invisibleshield scratch cover (that was before I knew to slide the tool, instead of prying and pulling down) Tks again!

  • can you make a video on how to open an ipod touch 4g cause I have to replace my screen

  • @smoneybaby100 ill see what i can do because i need one to show you how to do it.

  • @spyx1007 I opened it,To take off something dirty inside! Thanks! But how do you close or put it back cause i can't put back mine????

  • was this to fix something or see what it looks like inside?

  • @DOMIN8R8590 a buddy asked me to fix it and I figured I could show how to open it.
