  • Cant get enough of this song :) beautiful :D TY for sharing

  • well i normaly cant stand country music......untill now... great song .. great sound..

    thanks

  • @Eric1967fj40 you're listening to the wrong "country" :) Try John Prine etc etc all beautiful :)

  • Beautifully done...

Thank you for sharing it !

  • Listened without watching video in case his "looks" distracted me :) Love it ! his raspy voice is beautiful :) as is his guitar playing, thought T-Bone had something to do with the song :)

  • A truism....love the lyrics and score. Great by anyone who sings it, but Ryan is indeed the best. Maybe because he wrote it...collaboratively with T-Bone Burnett but still it was pulled from those who have walked that road of dreams and almost get burned out. Hope to see this team together with great songs....

  • ONE OF THE BEST VOICES EVER!!!!!!

  • @dropover: Bingham has always had a raspy sounding voice. I think that is what everyone loves about this guy. I love him, have several albums of him, same voice always.

  • @WeeOldLady32 he does have a raspy voice, but he hasn't always had it to this extent. go search for his older, unreleased material like "bad case of gone", or "that's how strong my love is" (the latter reminds me of otis redding meets ray lamontagne). Enjoy ;)

  • does anyone know his picking pattern? cant figure it out, been playing it slightly different :X

  • this guy reminds me of a young bob dylan

  • @paceyify i do love me some dylan

  • well he is no Collin, but... kidding, I love this song. pick up your crazy heart.. and give it one more try

  • Wow... This dude really reminds me of William Elliott Whitmore !

  • Nice song for sure

  • Una de las mejores canciones country!!

  • Country music is about stories. And this song again, is a beautiful one. That's all that matters.

  • 16 people are the weary kind...

  • I love his voice, wow

  • I'm sorry if I offended anyone, I have no recolection of making the negative comment that I made. Maybe my computer has a virus. Actually it's a very good version and he has a very nice smoky voice...

  • Tom Waits Jr??

  • awesome voice!

  • That voice is extremely difficult to emulate, even after nights of drinking and smoking cigars.

  • the top comments are damn great!

  • Who gives a shit if he sounds like Dylan to you. He's not Dylan. He's Ryan Bingham. Go elsewhere.

  • Show musica perfeita

  • that's new to me bloodymuggles....dylan never wrte hous of the rising sun....know a bit about music befre you comment on it perhaps.

  • I don't usually listen to country (mostly classic rock) so I don't know any of the stars. I came here after watching the movie, which I really enjoyed. I have to say, the voice I'm hearing doesn't match what I'm seeing. It almost seems dubbed to me. Such a gritty raw "weary" voice. Such a squeaky clean GQ-looking dude. LOL

  • Colin's Farrel voice is so much nicer... I do so wish they release his version...it's fantastic!

  • @choquera Are you serious? Not even close.

  • o..mi...gosh...his voice just gave me chills

  • its good to know music isn't dead, helps me go to sleep at night :)

  • sound like dylan? lmao, who in their right mind would TRY to sound like dylan?!? as on of his biggest fans, i can say he has a horrible voice. it worked because he was genuine. Bingham is genuine.

  • @drewsac1 Who? Try half the indie-bands. Dylan is one of the most influental musicians of all time, a lot of people try to replicate him and his brooding type persona. This guy is an example of someone playing up a contrived image - not original at all. On the other hand, the lyrics are exceptional, I just prefer hearing someone like Bridges who isn't forcing out a rasp singing it.

  • Lyrics here -> /watch?v=qRzHVVdK_Oc

  • to the 15 people who disliked this...this is actual music. not the fuckin shit you here on the radio

  • Original voice-This is country

  • Awesome performance... I could listen to this over & over. What a Brilliant, Talented young dude. And good looks as well....

  • amazing voice and words with a real meaning really makes for a great song

  • Perfect!!!

  • monty python?

  • Was told to listen to this song. His pretty-boy look put me off pretty quick, but MLK taught us all better than to judge a book by it's cover. Gave it a listen...holy fucking shit! This is truly GREAT country music! Johnny and Hank Sr. can listen to this man singing from up in heaven, and rest easy knowing their legacy is secure. Ryan Bingham is what country SHOULD sound like.

  • omg this guy is awesome

  • Sorry, but this is kind of lame... It's a good song, but this is a pretty shitty version...

  • @znarf541

Du Arsch hast keine Ahnung vo guten Stimmen :-(

  • @znarf541

Was für taubes Individium du doch bist , null Ahnung von sehr guten Stimmen :-(

  • @znarf541 Show us how it's done!

  • @znarf541 fuck you, idiot

  • @znarf541 i agree

  • If you didn't know, this guy was produced in a lab in Hollywood with a dash of Depp and a dollop of Dylan. The voice is total affectation. The rasp is store bought. His actual voice is more like Hootie sans Blowfish.

  • He could sing the ABC song and I would still listen.

  • voice is a little to raspy for my liking but the dude can play a guitar... damn

  • A simple song, but with a lot feeling... great song Congratiolations!!

  • Very nice movie and an interesting voice. :)

  • Can we stop comparing the guy to Dylan? While Dylan may be an influence, Bingham is still different in many different ways. Just because he has a raspy voice doesn't mean he's the reincarnation of the contemplative folk singer.

  • So awesome, so Dylan, so truly deserves the Oscar

  • I love this song! Ryan Bingham is very talented, but i must say that i prefer Jeff Bridges version better, it's more raw and heartfelt, what country music is suppose to be. Both men Bingham and Bridges deserved their oscars that they one! =)

  • Love at first sound... this guy destroyed all my chances to ever find a man to satisfy me now.

  • @maginah i bet you're really fat and ugly so dont worry about it, you were never going to find someone anyway

  • @maginah omg I know.. isn't he dreamy?

  • @maginah please don't drag the rest of us down with you in your melodramatic maelstrom of teenage misseries

  • WHAT IS THIS DOING ON A MONTY PYTHON PLAY LIST?!?!?

  • GIVE US A FUCKING REPLAY BUTTON U RETARDED CUNT YOUTUBE YOU WORTHLESS WHHORES! I NEED REPLAY BUTTON!!!!!

  • @kalenen not for this guy u dont

  • Sexier voice? Ryan Bingham or Garrett Hedlund?? Can't choose....want em both!!

  • Bingham is awesome. Check out Boxrich-Egoism on Youtube! Thx

  • What an awesome song! Co-written along with T Bone Burnett and their dearly departed friend Stephen Bruton! Stephen Bruton...what a great talent!

  • Hi - great guitar playing - Top vioce -greetings from germany -winni

  • hey boy...let me see your eyeeeeees....

  • I LOVE SIRIUS! so many singers and songwriter to discover! can't get enough!

  • if he came up to me on the street and said" this is for you " and played the song, i would have married him right there. Hell.......i'd marry him right now <3

  • I wish I could write songs like him, I wish I could play like him, I wish I could sing like him. Just so good.

  • I am ok saying this is my new favorite song yes my new favorite song

  • me too! I listen to it over & over

  • Bruce Springstein for the new generation.

  • he is good as fuck

  • I like the other versions of this song his voice sound old and rusty

  • Love it, I agree he could sing the phone book and sound wonderful. Sexy!!!

  • He makes me float. I love this man. He makes me dream of things i once had and hope to regain.

  • brillant song and hands down my favourite version

  • dont really love country either but i love love love love the face. id listen just to see the face

  • Im not really a fan of country but my god...this song is beautiful

  • woodie guthrie rencarnation

  • awesome ! whiskey and marlboro voice.

  • wonderful

  • Great song, check out buckneck--ed is outlaw country

  • 11 people are not the weary kind

  • ¿Dylan's son?

  • One of the most original voices i've ever heard. This is the kind of voice that wakes up emotions. Great movie awesome soundtrack.

Call it whatever you want but this is country

  • @skatenirvana TRUE country.

  • @skatenirvana call it whatever you want, but this sounds like folk to me.

  • @skatenirvana Sorry but his voice isn't original at all. He is trying very hard to sound like Dylan.

  • @Distortedcontent What a fanboy... Some people just sound like this when they sing. I very much doubt he is trying to sound like Dylan at all, just because Dylan is more famous doesn't mean everyone is trying to copy him.

  • @bloodymuggles Fanboy? I am not even a big fan of Dylan's... It's not the fact Dylan is famous, it's the fact he innovated that sound, and is perhaps one of the most emulated acoustic, folk artists of all time. Also what is funny, as im typing this, I look to the right of me on the similar videos and I see " Ryan Bingham singing Dylan's Hard Rain." I never insulted the guy, all I said was his voice isn't original, and it comes off like he is making an effort to sound Dylan-Like.

  • @Distortedcontent Okay, understandable but i mean what is original in terms of music these days? It's all been done before.. These days performances are more about how believable they are and the emotions they put in.

  • @bloodymuggles besides, dylan had a terrible voice... but such an outstanding song writer. Thats why his most famous songs were written for other bands. House of the rising sun for example. This guys voice is much better than dylans.

  • @Distortedcontent eh ? what i like bob but i mean bob isn't the best singer. But ryan is an amazing singer bob dylan doesn't even have this kind of voice

  • @skatenirvana To chime in, Bob Dylan's voice is actually getting closer to Bingham's if you look at his stuff from The Never Ending Tour.. Then again, he's ancient, and touring non-stop for twenty years will do that to you.

  • he needs to clear his throat a tad : \

  • does he have a cold? :(

  • @goldenglovled if that a cold i want it

  • kippenvelmoment!!!

  • Kippenvelmoment!!!

  • Kippenvelmoment!!!

  • damn! my heart is trapped... when I listen to Bingham ....

  • Sweet baby J, that was incredible!

  • I love this song and de film Crazy Heart. I think every musician must identify himself in that film, and every person in that song. One of my favourites ever.

  • Is there anywhere I can download this version of the song? I mean just the song, not the whole video :)

  • perfect

  • This is so amazing!

  • I am new to Ryan's work - this is great! Did he write this song or who was the original? I checked it up and Ryan seems to be the only name cropping up.....?? Is this his work? Some talent!

  • @noelsview2010 Ya this is Bingham's song. Was on the movie "Crazy Heart"

  • Your heart's on the loose You rolled them seven's with nothing to lose This ain't no place for the weary kind You called all your shots Shooting 8 ball at the corner truck stop Somehow this don't feel like home anymore And this ain't no place for the weary kind This ain't no place to lose your mind This ain't no place to fall behind Pick up your crazy heart and give it one more try Your body aches Playing your guitar and sweating out the hate The days and the nights all feel the same
  • Whiskey has been a thorn in your side

    It doesn't forget

The highway that calls for your heart inside

  • And this ain't no place for the weary kind This ain't no place to lose your mind This ain't no place to fall behind Pick up your crazy heart and give it one more try Your lover's warm kiss Is too damn far from your fingertips You are the man that ruined her world Your heart's on the loose You rolled them seven's with nothing to lose And this ain't no place for the weary kind
  • 11 people are idiots

  • damn its sooo good!

  • Good songs performed by an awesome singer and guitarist

  • What brand of guitar Ryan Bingham?

  • @FixDeluxe it even says gibson..

  • @shbou1 thx

  • real country won't ever die!

  • tose proeski

  • the Ryan Bingham is fully great, he fully sounds like Ryan Bingham! Great!!!

  • This song is so amazing. I used it in a video montage for my school!

  • give him some cough drops! no srsly thats the first thing i thought of when i first heard him, but still beautiful though...and his voice too. XD

  • ohhhh shit!!

  • The pain and loneliness in the lyrics just tear at my heart every time. His voice is amazing.

  • Hee hee hee, he's pretty C:

  • perfect voice

  • I dedicate this song to someone I used to know. Denver Vandover. Short but sweet. This song reminds me of you....wherever it is that you are.

  • this song could easyly fit in the movie soundtrack into the wild

  • how does he get so hoarse?

  • @eaglefeather1234 Singing. Smoking. Drinking. Living hard. Old formula.

  • yes my friends, Acoustic because drum machines have no soul!!

  • wish he didnt go big league on me in san marcos

  • respect for mr. bingham that he co-wrote this song... but his voice sucks in this version, hahaha what the hell... i got the OST cd from Crazy heart, there Ryan sings with a cleaner voice, it's much more beautifull, even though colin farell's voice is even better.

but damn... he tries to hard to be cool in this version

  • @fedinhorax his voice sounds orgasmic, its got soul

  • The new Boss

  • Man I love this guy....Lady Gaga can suck it

  • @jbali44 How the F*** can you even compare?? Just at st*pid a** comment!

  • He's affecting his voice and that sounds dishonest to me.

  • Comment removed

  • @briancoyne he has a totally believable voice honest. it cuts to the soul. if you don't like it don't listen

  • makes me feel like learning to play the guitar! i wish i could play these chords someday! nothing else....just this one song. love it...been playing it in loops...back to back...i can hear it all day long without getting bored.

  • @digitalworkshop this song is wat made me learn to play.. im still tru=ying to play it though its hard to do lol

  • Star: I love this song!

  • Bing Bings FTW!!!

  • I like a smokey voice. But to me, I hear a sound like a liquid phlem emanating from his mouth. Funny, but I didn't mind Louis Armstrong (his voice had mellowed out a bit) although it was likely the same condition, caused by smoking. Nat Cole even got a little raspy, and I loved it. Joe Cocker's voice sounds more like it is from straining. Rod Stewart sounds natural and I like his voice. And Tom Waits of course. Cause: scar tissue and nodules on vocal chords usually from smoking or yelling.

  • @dropover - interesting point you make. I liked the song instantly but after a while found out i could to without the kind of raspiness he has, indeed it sounds a bit unnatural to me. Still, it's a great song and Ryan Bingham is a great singer.

  • best movie song ever:)

  • Horrible voice.

  • @dropover he has a beuatiful smoky voice

  • Thanx Bingham. Thank you for this music, you made my day, my month, my year...

  • He could sing the phone book and i would still listen.

  • @PBRMafia Brilliant commentary.

  • I love the song, just wish his voice wasn't so raspy, smoking is bad for singers.

  • How can someone dislike this?

  • Pick up your crazy heart and give it one more try.

  • awesome !!

  • I'm in Love

  • Damn! Well done.

  • Amazing song, sounds like Bruce springsteen

  • okay I like country now.
