here is a better one, merge everything down on one layer, invert it, mode: vivid light, highpass up to around 20, gausian blur up to around 15, mask paint, done. (without blurry results!)

Just had a EUREKA moment. so when you use the opacity at the top within a mask, you can brush different areas using different opacity levels without effecting the entire layer mask. When using the opacity level in the layers panel, you effect the entire layer mask no matter where you paint with white. JUST LEARNED SOMETHING GREAT!

i have a problem here when i press the "ctrl+alt+the mask" the color of the mask isn't black and i don't know how to fix it :S please if someone knows please help meeeee .... i fixed it by luck the first time i tried it but now i need it again and nothing :S :S :S

You can simply click the mask icon to add a mask and then use the bucket tool to drop black color into it.

Then, just paint with white to "reveal" or with black to "hide" with a brush (soft brush).

@trezapook you can't just take the bucket tool and drop colour into the mast + mind that the mask we are using hase to be vector ! But in the video the vector mask apears black in my case it is gray :S :S
