I have to say I don't agree with the bombing but I agree that technology is actually going to destroy us on so many levels. He was and is right.

I often wondered if he knew way more about the World Situation and the forces we face now than we were led to believe. I found it to convenient that he was declared insane immedietly and no trial. What would we have learned from him if there was a trial. He has no communication with the outside world.

I am sorry if innocent people suffered and died. I can think of some very powerful men now that I would like to see locked up.

I do not condone his actions, blood should never be shed. But his manifesto is insightful, and brilliant. However there are more peaceful ways to achieve his dreams. Do not become a blind follower or blindly dismiss him as a lunatic. As human beings we have minds of our own. We must use them to improve on his ideals and think of more humane solutions.

I know about MK Ultra. I know about COINTELPRO, psyops, black ops and other covert CIA strategies. I'm just sceptical about the so-called link between MK Ultra and Kaczynski. Kaczynski just looks like a loner eco-terrorists out for revenge against the system and unless I see an actual document mentioning Kaczynski I can't take the MK Ultra strategy seriously. Do you know of a document explicitly mentioning Kaczynski by name or other not too dubious reference?

I disagree with you. Kaczynski will not be remembered as a hero.

He was a child prodigy who would grow up and graduate from Harvard. That made him a white American male with all the opportunities in the world. Yes, he had some type of psychiatric disorder, but he didn't seek help. Instead, he cut off his family. Then, he decided to punish those who didn't agree with him.

No, he will be remembered as a nut who made bombs in a cabin & mailed them to people. He took 3 lives and threw away his.

@Sudshark : Only time will tell how he will be remembered. Personally I just read his manifesto and found it to be one of the most insightful texts I've ever read. The guy was genius of the purest kind and far from the insane individual he's portrayed as. As our society becomes more and more instable, Kaczynski could become to this generation what Marx was to others.

Don't buy the lies of the media. Don't take my word on it either. Read his own words and make up your mind for yourself.

And they, the govt and oil companies, swept them all under the rug.Now glaciers are melting. National Geographic shows where there used to be glaciers is now open ocean. When coastal cities go under water perhaps they'll get serious with their thinking.

But any thoughtful person who reads "Industrial Society and Its Future" must admit that a good portion of his reasoning in the document was rational, logical, and more than likely correct.
