  • is it better than flatline

  • @EpicSuccess2 accuracy but not in range

  • @EpicSuccess2 no, the flat line is veter

  • Cci Phantom

  • @DJSchmidi90

<3 i love my blue and black acidwash open class under cocking phantom <3

    pump players unite!

  • they always shoot the same tree outside what did it ever do to you?

  • and yes: i turned from tippmann to the new proto rail 2011 (thanks to the pb-store btw) and played it yesterday 4 hours nonstop without any problems.

all i can say is: have fun with the A5 if it works - but after 2 complete fails and lots of tries to fiy it, sending it back and getting another one that was broken right after the first 20 balls you'll also been done with it and wouldn't understand why everybody says: "great gun"...

sorry if i have been so "rude" to tippmann - ;o)

  • @skralogy

    @IMRifley

    cheez... ok, once again:

i bought the A5 (old version) BECAUSE of it's great reviews and compatibility. also i have to say that tippmanns support is great - no doubt. but:

as shown in my video: the first a5 had an airleak at tombstone = back to tippmann -> no repair cause it was complete crashed (out of the box! first game was a complete mess)

2nd a5 - model 2011 = cyclone feed damaged -> next game only maintenance and no play. that's why i was so upset and not in trust..

  • @DigitalCoreGraphics hahahaha!! wat have you done to the tippmann?? out of interest.. do you still have it? have you checked the tombstone oring? did you check the powerhouse oring was installed properly with the spring behind it? did you cock it BEFORE you put the gas on (if not air will go out) did you make sure the hammer did not touch the pin behind the powerhouse ? (because if it does it will trigger the whole mechanism. thus releasing the oring INSIDE the powerhouse) anyways happy paintbal

  • Iv seen a Tippmann a5 work under water and still work after thats what you call reliability and durability

  • @SuperTippmanna5 No. Any Non electric paintball gun can do that, that has nothing to do with how durable the gun is at all. That's what you call a mech gun.

  • wow - one of a thousand tippmanns that seem to work for 5-10 minutes...

i bet that afterwards he has to check cyclone feed, tombstone and all o-rings if it needs maintenance...

  • @DigitalCoreGraphics are you dumb tippmanns are known for their durability, I have an a5 and still havent changed orings, and i have seen 98 customs pulled out of the dirt and fired no problem, your comment is ridiculous

  • @DigitalCoreGraphics thats like saying an ak-47 wond ork if you sprinkle dust in it

  • i have this barrel and i have a 98 custom act... which doesnt chop any balls what so ever.. and when u use this barrel i chop almost every other ball... can someone please help me figure out why this is happening? its winter right now so idk if its just because of the cold or what..

  • @halogamercf Sounds to me like you have some damage on the barrels surface or the face. Or a problem with the barrels alignment to the bolt mate. Take it to a good air smith if you have such a thing where you live.

  • @tina6581 thanks ill look into that :) and ive shot it a few times with some better paintballs form Skirmish USA in PA and now its shooting great.. so it probably was just the paintballs that i was using cus they were crap..

  • im trying to pick between the this barrel and the pathfinder. Anybody able to help me?

  • @rejected147 Don’t get ether mate get a CCI Phantom 11” barrel and have the thread re-worked. I use CCI Phantom 11” barrels on my TPX, A5, X7 and 98. They are the best barrels on the market and well worth the cost of having them modified. Also you have the fun of seeing other players go what the f*^k when they ask you what barrel you are using :-)

  • @tina6581 ur awesome becuz u said mate :)

  • @rejected147 Well I am English and forgot I was typing to an American sorry. Using mate is a friendly invocation hear. Its used to imply that what is being said is not a threat, instruction, boast ect. But is imparted as a friendly comment to be taken or left as the other wishes. Unless it is used as a derogatory form then it dose imply threat, instruction, boast ect. I intended it as the former not the later in this cases. Glad you liked it and didn’t take offence. :-)

  • STOP THE ARGUING

  • I could do that with a rental t98 why don't you shoot farther please and really show us what it can do :)

  • what the fuck? at least shoot further so youcan see the accuracy

  • hey word of advice to every one who gets this barell. PAINT QUALITY IS KEY!!!!

shit paint = shitty acuracy/ barell breaks

good paint = good acuracy/ less to no barell breaks.

also make sure that you grese up the inside of the barell. not oil but greas.

  • @blootoons totally true. Ppl these days who listen to you.

  • I have the same barrel.. i cant get it good. the paintballs keep breaking in the barrel and if maybe one leaves the barrel it flys everywhare.

can u tell me the size of fin and the FPS? ore tips ? i cant get it right

  • @scuffieduffie first check the bore size of ur barrel, then check your paint bore size. See if the bore size of the paintball is much bigger than the barrel that is causing the breaks. and with the problem with paintballs flying evry where, it is because of crappy paint or you just had a ball break and that all the paint is coating thhe inner-barrel.

  • Maybe shoot at the distant trees to back up the claims of accuracy? I dunno about anyone else but those shots were pretty well spread out for that short of range.

  • with my straight line every 5th round or so either goes way to the right or up any ideas why?

  • @nklapstein Possibly it is your guns personality. Every gun is different. In Rifles, you may find a bolt, lever, semi-auto, or even pump action rifle that does just what you discribed. Due to the mechanical complexities, no two guns are exactly alike.

  • whats is the differance between the straightline barrel and the flatline barrel? and wich is better?

  • @gamedemolisher101

The straightline barrel has rifling, the flatline is curved barrel so it puts a front spin on the ball to increase range and theoretical accuracy.

  • a 2" barrel would have performed equally. pointless video.

  • thats awsome now do you wana shoot sumthing thats NOT fucking 10 yards away?

  • hey i just got this barrel... how many here would like me to do a HELPFUL video testing its accuracy?

  • @RhinoSanderson yor the dumbass my comrade. you most likely googled ratio.

    fuck off

  • @RhinoSanderson well , considering the ratio of people who think you are wrong is high and the raTIO OF PEOPLE WHO think your wrong AND post , pointing out that youre wrong is low so. fuck you

  • @RhinoSanderson its a demo not a review dumbass

  • i heard that the straightline chops alot though... huge turnoff

  • hehe response trigger

  • They always shoot at that same tree.

  • what a terrible demo. Anyone looking at this video already knows what it comes with and how big it is. Show us some actual concrete accuracy tests.

  • wow ur shooting that at a tree 15 ft infront of u of course its going to be accurate lol

  • i had an armson rifled barrel on my a-5 over two years ago. rifling isnt new to paintball, and no the rifling dosent cause any more breakage than a stock barrel. if this is a 150 dollar barrel tho that may be a bit much to pay IMO.

  • I agree with you on that. I almost bought it though, lol..

  • dude i dont think this barrel is worth 150+ dollars

  • @rushofspeed

thats absolutely nuts. There is no reason it should be priced so high.

  • what hopper is that??? please tell me!

  • cyclone

  • its the original a5 hopper

  • Is say that's accurate.... For the idiots saying he's to close.... Raise the damn marker for more distance.

  • if you want to test a barrel you need to get further away!!

  • And what if you chop? there is no way a squeege is going to work at all with those grooves in there

  • lol, that's why he has a cyclone ;) almost no choppers :)

  • where can you get a rifled PB barrel?

  • thats a 16 in. right?? I recommend the 14 in. if your gonna shoot fast, 16 is more for semi or 3 round burst at most, 16 is a little to big

  • 20 inch is alot too big lol

  • @jessopsucks The barrel is 16 inch

  • @misanthroposy i was just making fun of some other guy who thought 20 in

was short or something its been 2 months i forget

  • does anyone have any experience with what fps to use with this barell? I cant really get mine to shoot that straight. Paint is good, and gun is clean.

  • it looked like the balls were already on their downward angle when nthey hit the tree

  • I was thinking this barrel would shoot rope, but as far as i can see it doesn't...

TO ALL YOUTUBE BALLERS OUT THERE HAVING A STRAIGHTLINE:

Could someone PLEASE do an accuracy test of this barrel? and MAYBE even comparing it to the Lapco snapshot barrel....thats not a must though...

    THANK YOU!

  • bitch!! ima get me an apex for my A-5 when it i buy it lol

  • ur gay straightline is better by alot apex is shit the ball arks

  • dude thats y i want a apex so i can shoot around shit....

  • i have this barrel it is great !!!

    ! looks bad ass too

  • that showed shit not accuracy, sorry but its tru

  • I beg to differ. i know this vid doesn't show much, but look at his spread. ALL his paint is concentrated on one spot.

  • I wasted £99.00 on this piece of crap, the paint flies straight for about 30 feet then flies off in any direction no matter if fps is 250 or 270. Totol waste of money.

  • same with my friend its a rip off

  • is this barrel really that accurate..

i heard alot of bad comments about it

  • yes... this is the most accurate barrel that I tried including flatline and the apex ..you just need to adjust the pressure to about 270 - 280fps..

  • no .69's? ive had paint that was the size of a .693..

  • I found that bore sizing did more than any of these barrels. I have had the flatline, I have had the apex, and I just got the straightline. Flatline was nice for distance, and apex was good for distance and the gimick around the corner and over bunker shots.... but for accuracy just simply bore sizing was the best, didn't matter what barrel I used... waste your cash if you like though, thats what tippmann wants.

  • that barrell is delicous

  • wow you people are all idiots. he was just showing off the barrel and how it's a straightline. idiots.

  • which is better flatline or straightline?

  • they are completley different things! flatline is like an apex, straightline like a normal barrel

  • Flatline or Straightline? Apex.

  • It's simple...

Flatline = Distance.(Hard on Paint = Ball break)

Apex Tip = Distance & Tricks. (Not Accuracy)

    Straightline = Xtreme Accuracy...

I Have the flatline the apex and Straigtline on my X7.....I'm getting more "kills" whith the Straightline.... (I got the entire enemy team..5 vs 5 hehehe)....

  • I get great accuracy with my Apex, and I'm not going to drop 200 bucks on a barrel until they work out all the the little bugs. I know that if you get a good straightline, it's gonna shoot more accurately than just about any/every other barrel on the planet. Get a bad one, your paint will fly ever which direction. It's a damn nice barrel, but I'm sticking with my Apex w/ Lapco for now.

  • I think mine went well, since it is extremely accurate. =)

  • If you're happy with your barrel, no point upgrading :)

  • can u rly upgrade from a 150 dollar barrel lol ?;) i got a flatline which i cant get 2 work right uhhh frustrating!!! it brakes any paint that isnt rly rly hard shell :/

  • What do you mean by "if you get a good straightline" and "if you get a bad one"? Also, the Apex is accurate just like u said. I was using the stock barrel one and it was awesome. Its the Flatline 2.0

  • I mean that if you get a Straightline where the rifling is imperfect, causing your paintball to chop/throw paint everywhere, both of which are bad of course.

  • ur co2 tank looked low on pressure

  • shoots pretty slow bro

  • what the hell?

  • Not exactly the most accurate shots I've ever seen..

  • i had a 21" barrel "made my tippmann" and it was straight rifled. it sucked ass. hardcore

  • Well scoutusmcsniper, the reason it sucked ass is because the rifling doesnt do anything, and, it was a 21" barrel, everyone here needs to know that

1.) Rifleing for paintballs does not work because the ball is round.

2.) After 16" for a barrel, it gets to the point where its not helping and its accutaly less accurate and not as much range because there is more drag,

Those 2 thing are fairly simple to understand, if you want to argue what i just saud then go right ahead but its the truth

  • haha im not going to argue w/ you. were saying the same thing

  • @Krazykid163

addition to point 1) having a liquid core to the ball, means even when/if it does "rifle", only the shell will spin consistantly, the center kinda... sloshes around. over-all, it ends up being worse over distance as a result.

addition to point 2) longer barrels also use more air, a 21" barrel will seriously affect your air effeciancy, whilst not giving you any clear advantage. not to mention being horribly cumbersome

  • @Hahnchen121 - long barrels like that 21 incher can be very useful...but only when you're playing on air bunkers. so probably not the tippmann demographic....lol

  • @Krazykid163 ok ...... rifling does work on paintballs dumbass....its the same thing as a musket. you got a lead ball fired by idk the 1842 series smoothbore muskets, now they wernt that accurate so by the time the 1861 RIFLED musket came they were so much more accurate becuase of the fact it had a rifled barrel.. ..the rifled barrel makes the lead ball spin and this cuases it to fly or shoot straighter making it more accurate so take the same idea on a paintball and you would make it accurate.

  • @kingjohnyb actualy the reason rifling worked is cuz the barell was smaller than the musket ball and the had 2 lube the ridges to fire it. also from the heat and speed the ball started to catch the groves and mold into them. just sayin but the streight line rly is good for acuracy over range

  • @blootoons thanks

  • @kingjohnyb by the time they added rifling to muskets the round used was something like the tiberius arms paintball round. it wasn't completely round. the round stayed straight. if the round used on a rifled barrel was a completely round bullet then it wouldn't work because instead the barrel doesn't straight even before you shoot it.

  • @StabbyFork thanks

  • @Krazykid163 wrong bout number 1 rifling will make a round ball spin....

  • @Krazykid163 Ok, Admittedly, I have never shot paintpall. However, Your point number one is factually incorrect. smoothbore muzzle loaders used Round ball projectiles. The advent of rifling with these Round balls caused the accurate range to go from about 60 yards, to 600 yards. As for a longer barrel, the longer the barrel, the more stabilization time the bullet has. I have seen some paintball guns with the 21 inch barrel capable of shooting 100 yards, Which is quite good.

  • @TheFoundersWereRight What you have "seen" is trickery. You can not apply ballistics applied to firearms/bullets to markers/paintballs. Modern muzzle-loaders (competition shooters especially) wouldn't dare use a round ball, they use "mini balle" style projectiles, a more "modern-bullet" shaped projectile that performs 100,000,000x better than a round ball does. Even if your example were true, round balls, it'd still be negligible as LED does not vary as GELLETON (paintball shells) does.

  • @Yumyumtuna Actually, It depends on the Shoot. Mountain Man shoots still use patched Round Balls. Flint Lock Shoots also most of the time. Also, You apparently know very little about the subject in general, as Round Balls, if poured, can have air pockets inside, the sprue points from the pour spout., and in general, vary greatly between each individual ball. The only way to get a uniform, perfectly round lead ball is through Swaging. It is used only by companies, not individuals.

  • @Yumyumtuna Now, About your reference to conical bullets(The Correct term). Have you ever Shot Conicals and round balls side by side in a traditional muzzle loader? I have, both Cap and Flint lock, Rifled and Smooth bore. The Round balls tend to be more accurate in the rifled barrels, and are also the only ones you can fire in a smooth bore. The Conicals were designed for hunting, and the Hollow Base "Minie ball" (After C. Minie) was designed Smaller than bore to load faster on the battlefield.

  • @Krazykid163 Paintballs being round is not the reason that rifling doesn't work, to start with. There have been extensive tests done that include specific results stateing that a 10" barrel shot the same group at 125 feet as a 21" barrel. The loss in range (due to loss in velocity, caused by excessive drag) using a really long barrel can easily be remedied by turning your velocity up, so it leaves the longer barrel at your field limit.. this will reduce air efficiency, but not by much as ---

  • @Yumyumtuna wow... how many comments are you going to write on this page? do you have a life? god damn stop trolling all over on people. go do something with your life.

  • @Krazykid163 --- but not by much as in test a 96" barrel only reduced the velocity (chrono'd barrel was 7", velocity was 280) by 60-65fps. While this is a considerable difference, when you're only talking 1/4 (at worst) the length of that... it's really insignifigant. What's 1/4 of 60, 15. You would lose 15fps with a 20" barrel under the same circumstances (used for example as it's the common "too long" accused length), so it's completely negligible.

  • @Krazykid163 Stop attempting to dictate fact of wich you know nothing, all you do is slander innocent statistics and make yourself look like a tard.

  • @Krazykid163 ur rong about the rifling doesnt work because its round, when rifling was introduced, armies use rifles and balls for well over a century to great effect :P

  • @Louisthefish23 You are correct about ball rounds and rifling. But rifling dose not work with paintballs as they are a morphic projectile. All straight rifling can hope to do is stabilise air flow round the ball. The degree of extra stability given is so small as to be undetectable and easily masked by the variability of performance between each ball. You want good consistency then one word “polish“. Its all about friction mate nothing else.

  • how much.

  • You owned an OPSGEAR barrel? I would like to know then how long you owned/used it, and if you actually gave it a fair trial. If ya didn't then you really don't have much right to put down a product that wasn't really used. But if ya did then let bygones be bygones.

  • Well it's obvious that you don't own an OPSGEAR barrel. I do so I can verify what the OPSGEAR demo video shows. On that note I have outshot Straightline barrels along with Apex's and Flatlines, and have given Brass barrels a run for their money. I have owned and used this barrel for over a year. My father owns a 16 inch M4 barrel from OPSGEAR and has had similar performance. In all you really should make informed statements and not your own opinions, or in short think before you reply.

  • dude i could hit that tree without a barrel

    EPIC FAIL VIDEO

  • nawet ładnie leci

  • Wow I can hit a targert the same size at the same distance with my STOCK A5 barrel. The demo video for the OPSGEAR 18 inch smoothbore is way more impressive.

  • That barrel is great. Armson Makes some bad ass Rifled Barrels. i have one it's 18inches and rocks. (Much better then a flat line barrel) If your gun is turned down you will chop balls all the time but if you have it up about 300 you are good to go!

  • I WOULD like to see a video of someone realy testing this thing, but I guess its still pretty new.

  • oh ya i can shoot as accurate as that whit my freak kit at that distance... next time shoot a bit more FURTHER!

  • thank you that's exactly what i was thinkn

  • i just bought the straightline barrel qnd i am amazed by its accuracy.

  • is it hard on the ball?

  • well..ive tryed both of them out.. the strightline is good with accuracy at close to medium range...but if u want to hit a far target go with flatline... personally i think paying 120 bucks for a barrel that kinda does shoot similar to an apex barrel...well i wouldnt buy it..i own a flatline casue i preffered it..better range and decent accuracy..better thatn most barrels... id go with flatline... i need to make a vid of the two barrels... ill get workin on it.

  • Ur an idiot the purpose of Straight Line is accuracy not speed its meant for sniping dumbass

  • x7s rule

  • Actually Flames, I thought that too when I got one, but I emailed tippmann and they told me to take off the little plastic ring in the front of the shroud and it worked.

  • Warning if you have an x7 don't purchase it, it will not fit the x7 stock shroud or any x7 shroud I know of.

  • dude read the book, it fit i got one

  • An accuracy test at a longer range is in order. I just ordered one of these, so I'll see for myself how well it works.

  • could u please make a review on youtube? i wanna know if i should buy this or just go for a lapco barrel...

  • buy a flatline its proven to make the paintball fly farther but isnt accurate but your not going to see more accuracy from a rifled barrel until someone proves it that isnt the company who made it or are selling it

  • well i would rather have accuracy

  • you should do a formal accuracy test camparing it to the flatline.

  • what should i buy a flat line or this does this barrel make the gun shoot farther like the flat line or is it like a normal barrel and more accurtae

  • you should get an apex barrel, its not as picky on paint like the flatline, it shoots the same distance and gives you the advantage of being able to curve the ball around obstacles, drop shots to get enemies that are behind bunkers or just straight up long range

  • apex has nothin on range compared to the flatline

  • minus 1

  • sorry to say the apex is shitty bud it isnt really worth buying i was going 2 buy at one point but i decided not to instead i got a 16 inch smart parts barrel for accuracy but i would go with the flatline instead of this one

  • dude apex is king not saying that the flatline isnt awesome i used them both and they were both amazing but i just like the way the apex looks and being able to curve it which works really good

  • so if you never actually used it...how do you know its "shitty" ??? I'm curious because i have both and as far as distance they're both the same...but as far accuracy the apex wins over greater distances.

  • this video shows the accuracy at like 15 feet its pointless do a longer range one or somthing that was nothing but a waist of paint

  • first view o ya
