@Equalibeats I hear you man, that's gotta be annoying as fuck. That's why you have to fill that void that would be normally filled in by Intuition if you were to make a true instrumental album. Any true fan of the art wouldn't dare try to spit over anything off of RJD2's Deadringer because there is simply nothing more to add to those songs - they're already full as is with no lyrics. For example, these are great starting points for that kind of thing. I know by reading Blockhead's blog that
@tommyboy042 when he's making an instrumental album, he'll go through and weave together a few beats originally intended for rappers, filling in those spaces that would normally be fleshed out by an emcee's voice. What's great about true instrumental hip-hop that it gives you a totally different experience - the listener can take from it what he/she wants based on the vibe that's put out. I know you're definitely talented enough to make it new/interesting (granted, it's definitely more work and
@tommyboy042 thought that goes into making something like this), but you have my full support and I'm sure all of your other current fans', plus if you put something like this out, you'll find a whole new niche of listeners that live for shit like this and can shop it to labels that specialize in it, could even be your ticket to quitting your day job haha.
Man, you could really flesh these out and turn them into a straight instrumental album a la RJD2, Blockhead, etc. I know I would buy the shit out of it and I'm sure everyone else here would too. Ponder over it. Some of us hip-hop heads live for beats, and solid instrumental albums that keep it interesting is just my favorite kind of music hands down.
@Adam420Dreadz They are all the same price. I have a set rate unless further production is wanted on them. email me at equalibrum@gmail.com for pricing and info and to hear the others. Thanks man.
