  • I made a short 20 second video. 400 photos, interval was 5 seconds and fps 20. I made it from my balcony shooting clouds and some people walking on the streets. It was not that impressive but I the main thing is it worked! :) Thanks for all the tips, I will keep them in mind and practise more and later in the summer I will take my camera to our family's summer cottage. The scenery there is nice and if I manage to make something cool I could upload it to youtube as my first video :)

  • Awesome video! I have the same camera and CHDK installed. Which intervalometer script did you use making this and do you remember what were the settings you used?

  • @Kujakatti75 I used A fast intervalometer. It really only has one setting which is how many shots you want it to take before it stops. This is a nice script because it will shoot as fast as the camera can shoot.

  • @Kujakatti75 However, there is one drawback and some things to consider. The drawback is that it uses the exposure from the very first shot for every shot in the sequence. This is because it does not actually use the camera's built-in intervalometer but instead replicates the action of a user holding down the shutter button when in continuous shooting mode.

  • @Kujakatti75 This can be bad when driving through a canyon as the sun goes down. There was more light for the first shot and by the time I started to descend down the canyon and it started to get darker. Then, I had to reach over and manually stop the sequence; then start it again. I did this a few times. If I hadn't, the very last shot in the sequence would have been almost completely dark.

  • @Kujakatti75 I recommend manually fixing your focus. Don't forget to set your camera first to continuous shooting mode. And, if you want the fastest series of shots possible keep your ISO low, disable review and if quality doesn't matter choose 640x480. The faster it can shoot and write the image to the memory the faster the sequence will be.
