Hmm... They probably use some kind of GPS map with Germany roads software. Those things are cool, you can see all the speed limits (or where there are no speed limits) but it was to be a good GPS devide and a good map software, because some of them show everything earlier or later than it actually is (Cops know where the speedlimits end and would stop even if it's a minor difference between the zone of the speedlimit and no speedlimit....

Our GPS also shows the speedlimit. It glows red when you drive 5 km/h to fast.
