the new jack sound was...well not really what i like the best about R/B...only a few tunes had something, this did not...it was the beginning of the end, and 2days R/B is a farce! i like MD a great deal, but i hate the guaranteed album...even the title is a misleading term. ok, he wanted to try something new, but this just doesn't fit him!
maybe if he did it with jimmy and terry, they would have done it a little more spicy and on the one, like the janet-stuff on her fantastic RN1814 album...
It's like watching BET in the eighties, and not getting laid, which is like watching BET in the eighties, and not getting laid. I can talk to girls like Morris now, but I'm old enough to be their father, so it's like watching BET in the eighties, and not getting laid. Oh, you should hear my rap, baby. Solid. Mesmerizing. But they just laugh, cuz it's like watching BET in the eighties and not getting laid. Morris Day, my brother, we should go back in time..mmm'm...yes. Deliciously.
Yes he still has money, still tours, will be a Time reunion with Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis and Jessie Johnson soon. Don't know if Prince wrote this one. Not one of my favorites but still rather listen to this instead of that crap on the airwaves today.
THE TIME were inovative & powerful when they started. this one is nice, but not more. see the full morris day story on: http://www.purplemusic.mynetcologne.de/the_time.html
i got this c.d...
my faves:
guaranteed
deeper(this should have been the FIRST single)
angel don't
who's that girl
i give Morris credit for trying something different. :-)

The only cool thing about this video is that Morris Day is in it.
We can watch this watered down crap & think: "I remember when Morris Day & The Time had some of the funkiest jams around."
psychomajic666 5 years ago
What's "watered down" about it, wise guy?
marcusrob02 4 years ago
If you know the Time, you know this is watered dow and over produced in comparison. Morris needs to stick with Prince.
