Yes, at least in the Netherlands - where it was broadcast in English, with Dutch subtitles (as is very customary there).

Sandokan was a series but the dvd set is three films...then there is at least one mor emovie il ritorno di Sandokan, where he returns to take Mompracem...with the same actors but a different marianne..I think this might be from that,but this ain't marianna, who dies in firs tpart of dvd3 on mompracem.

mitchmitchell you are right she is not Marianna but Jamilah, who replaces Marianna in this film "Il ritorno di Sandokan". The actress is the beautiful 80's italian star anglo-italian model Teresa Ann Savoy who played also in "Caligula"(Giulia Drusilla),in "Salon Kitty", "vizi privati pubbliche virtù", "la Bambina" AKA "Le farò da padre"

Salgari è un grande scrittore...ma ancora di più è grande colui che riesce a dare vita tramite se stesso ad un personaggio come questo che è l'uomo per eccellenza, non come tanti che se ne vedono adesso che pensano solo a qualcosa e a nient'altro.
