@JjhSquirrel my biggest tip for you is...start slow, very slow. If you are new to AH farming then you are absolutely right, it is risky. You want to be 1000% certain that what you are buying is something you can turn for a profit. You can do this by watching a given set of items over a period of time, say 2 weeks. So write down your list of say 12-20 items, watch them for 2 weeks, then start buying. This way you know much better what is going on in the market.
@nezar1989 i'd love to help, but that's a very question with virtually an endless amount of variables associated with it. Do you have some more specific info for me? What's your server market like? is it a new / old server? what items? what are the markets like?
@918273645ist at this point I'd say you just need to wait...Cata is out on Tuesday and no one can say for sure all of the changes it is going to bring.
what i do is go to a random dungeon queue, and try and loot everything i can. go back to the auction house when im done and just sell it all. i just sell things but i never buy anything unless i really need it. some of the stuff you buy you can easily go out to find them and get for free. over time your gold will just build up. i mostly sell cloth for like 1 - 2g per cloth. if they buy out that's 20 - 40g =) but i like this idea to. its alot faster. lol. ill give it a thumbs up.

@TheRagCo if the market is depressed you need to find ways to work in a market like that. Perhaps look at finding different item niches, perhaps look more info highly developed professions. There are a lot of different options, you just need to explore them.

Every item in this game has a strong potential to give a net return on a buy / resale mission...but even on my server, 85% of the time there's only a 1-2g profit on abyss crystals, but during the course of the week I still will find anywhere between 20-50 for a 10-15g profit. This is the same case with virtually every item I target and I suspect it would be the same on ur server

@SPANISHROCK88 absolutely, you don't need a whole lot of gold to start using it to make even more. You could turn that 700g into 1000g within a couple of days...then take that 1000g and turn it into 1500g in the same time period. It's all about exponential growth by reinvesting your resources in the smartest way possible.
I spent about 3k on it lol all that from quest and dailies and trying to sell stuff on the auction house....my enchant skills is 310 atm.but i'm getting it all back now =D
@Negative132 farm cheap stuff make about 20 gold do things cheap and around lower end then when you get more and more raise the bar and as long as you have a backup the consequences aren't as bad.

Im having real difficulties picking an item, and most with the price, one way or another i always get undercut! i know several of items which sel well on my server, and buy em up when the pct is realy low, and resel them the next week when prices are high, but still get undercut.. any advice?
if you are getting undercut at that rate then the markets you think are "good" may in fact in not worth bothering with. You might should consider trying a different, less volatile market that will not result in this high degree of price decreases
varies on the day, the sever, and the character. I've made as much as 5,000...but that's not an everyday thing. Most days, with what little time I have to farm, I end up netting between 600-900g
My guide is superior to any other guide because I actually play WoW. I understand what it's like to be in the same situations that other gamers find themselves in. Most other guide authors simply have their guides ghost written and don't know or care about the needs of gamers.

You know what the market value is by watching the market on a long term basis and understanding causes it to change prices. Buying out an entire item and attempting to set a new price can work, but you have to be able to control the supply of the item. The less supply you have over a specific item the greater the chances are that your prices will not stick.

the problem with this is that the AH is an economy and if we get alot of ppl doing this the stock market will go up and when you need to buy something for real it will cost way to much this is bad this is how we get over inflation.........

@daterman24 well, obviously I'm a bit biased as it's my guide. That said, I've seen Luke's guide...and it's not bad, but it just does not have the same depth of quailty material that my guide offers. In addition, my video tutorials really will help you get on the fast track, a feature not currently offered by his guide.

Im having real difficulties picking an item, and most with the price, one way or another i always get undercut! i know several of items which sel well on my server, and buy em up when the pct is realy low, and resel them the next week when prices are high, but still get undercut.. any advice?

if you are getting undercut at that rate then the markets you think are "good" may in fact in not worth bothering with. You might should consider trying a different, less volatile market that will not result in this high degree of price decreases

My guide is superior to any other guide because I actually play WoW. I understand what it's like to be in the same situations that other gamers find themselves in. Most other guide authors simply have their guides ghost written and don't know or care about the needs of gamers.

how do you know what the fair market value is? and i think if u bought all of it then u can pretty much name your own price, do you think this would work?

You know what the market value is by watching the market on a long term basis and understanding causes it to change prices. Buying out an entire item and attempting to set a new price can work, but you have to be able to control the supply of the item. The less supply you have over a specific item the greater the chances are that your prices will not stick.

great video. i did this with silk cloth except i bought ALL of it on ah and re sold. only a few sold then i made lots of heavy silk bandages. they didnt sell great but imade back al the money i spent

i try to open 1 of the 14 with the PDF adobe reader i downloaded and i get "adobe reader could not open "the files name" because it is either not a supported file type of because the file has been damaged (for example,it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)," ive downloaded video players to "open with..." also tried to open with my internet explorer and google chrome what do i do man?

please return to the download page and re-read the instructions for downloading those files. The instructions must be followed exactly to work...specifically you must download all 14 files before unzipping them.

depends on your level...for max level just about any location of 75+ with a high concentration of beasts will work. I always liked storm peaks.
