I just rode this last weekend, it was a pure adrenaline rush, it was funny because a lot of people in line were talking big then got all scared when we sat on the ride. It was misting that day too and they can't run the ride with any moisture in the air because it hurts too much hitting your face.

Kingda Ka is not closed, I have already been on it 57 times this season. Also for the people arguing how fast it goes, 128 mph is the record nothing more nothing less, no exact number(as the world record is concerned). Another this is the trains actually run at about 130mph in the morning(a lot more air time on the top hat ;)). How is that possible? New dialed in wheels to start the season, meaning less friction on the track.

@kk456128 Acually it really only goes 116 to 121 fully loaded. When empty or in Heavy winds the train can be boosted and top off at 123. 128 IS THE RIDES MAX SPEED, anything greather then 125 will cause a fault light and the ride will close.

i was 10 years old at the time, and my mom was a lot more scared than i was.

good advice: get there at park opening. lines will be shortest then, probably 30mins. we waited 60 mins, but it was well worth the wait. :D
